  1. Patch Notes e1.0.4

Damn, good job getting this ready so fast!
  2. More lag after recent update

I had massive strutter issues but fixed it by restarting my pc.
  3. Elite vs Recruit

I like that you aren't immune to most troops after getting decent armor like you were in Warband. There's a counter to everything now unlike how you could steamroll everything with Swadian Knights previously.
  4. Jittering [e1.0.2]

I had similar issues with massive screen tearing after updating to e1.0.2, indeed restarting my pc seems to have fixed it. Runs buttery smooth with gsync enabled now.
  5. Worth the Price Tag?

Thanks for the input. I've always been overly cautious when buying anything, and I'm fine with spending a few more dollars down the road to buy the game when it's finished. I'm just not sure if I can justify me spending 40$ to have a game sit around waiting for it to mature into its final release.
Sounds to me like you might as well wait. It's not going to get any more expensive and it's only going to get better in the future.
  6. Worth the Price Tag?

Obviously it depends on how much $40 is worth to you, but I would say content-wise it does not quite reach what I would except for $40 (or 40€ as I paid). If you feel you can wait you might as well do so, but if you've been waiting for ages like me and don't mind it being early access then go for it.
  7. Optimization Problem

Do you know which Graphic options are related to CPU usage? So I can change those?
Sound Channels, Number of Ragdolls, Number of Corpses, Battle Size, etc. Try setting Overall to Low and then bump settings up one at a time, when your FPS drops you'll know what settings are affecting it.
  8. Optimization Problem

I'm also having optimization problems I believe, running on:
    GTX 1060 (3Gb)
    i5-3550
    16 Gb RAM
    HDD

I know I have an old CPU, but still I played pretty games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider withouth any problems at High settings. I experience serious lag with Bannerlord even with graphics at Medium.
Bannerlord is pretty CPU intensive, just by googling it seems that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a lot more GPU dependant. Try to lower settings that have an impact on the CPU usage, raise the process priority and close background applications. I max out my i5-9400 in sieges with ~500 troops.
  9. Patch Notes e1.0.1

When I load my save it says "module mismatch". Do I need to start a new save?
Just press yes and it should load just fine. Once you save the next time it will be updated to 1.0.1.
  10. Wont let me update to 1.0.1

yes after validating files it now look the same thank you but in the bottom left corner it says 1.0.0 is this normal
yep, that indicates the version of the native module.
  11. Save game crash

There has been some instabilities, especially when updating to e1.0.1. As for your game saves they are located in
    插入代码块:
    C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Game Saves\Native
  12. Wont let me update to 1.0.1

Are you sure? Press the "Mods" tab and check - only some of the modules were updated so it may still say that the overall version is e1.0.0. The patch was tiny, I didn't even notice it had installed until i checked.

  13. Can't find any male companions

I think companions might be randomly generated according to patterns. They could be male or female. Just look around and you can find a male rogue, or female scout, or male scout and so on.
+1, indeed it seems they are somewhat proceduraly generated. All companions seems to have the same starting stats as well, at least based on the ones I looked at.
  14. Where are quests?

Check the quick access menu at the top of the settlement screen, blue exclaimation marks indicate issues/quests.
  15. Should there be an age slider like there was in Warband?

I mean we can already play as toddlers, so it's already half way implemented ?
  16. Tournaments?

So two things. First of all, is shield bashing in the tutorial? I had no idea that even existed...
Secondly, I have no idea how you have success with running stabs. I mean, first you'd have to make enough distance to get a stab off while moving forward. Secondly, the enemy would have to not block, which in my experience is very rare, especially if they have a shield.

Piercing damage is the only reliable damage in bannerlord to be honest. Ranged weapons feel super overpowered at the moment.
I don't know since I skipped most of it, but it replaces kicking with certain shields (and is actually useful in comparison ). Yes, it's kinda tricky to pull off. I'm not saying that it's easy to fight armored knights and I have certainly gotten knocked a few times, but if you just keep at them there are usually openings you can use. Turning the camera/character with the swing will usually result in a higher speed bonus -> higher damage as well. You can side pedal the enemies as well which sometimes causes them to lower their shield in order to turn and face you.

Indeed, I would say that piercing damage is a bit too powerful atm. Especially since bows typically deal piercing damage now rather than cutting. With that said I love how spears and lances work and how even knights can be taken out in a few hits with spears.

OT: yes, maybe, I mean it already happens when fighting in practice battles in the arena
  17. Fresh Start Needed?

When you're at your savegames screen, in the upper right corner there are versions of each save. I would assume you have to create a new character for the patches to work
Just try to load anyways, it worked just fine for me and for others. Once you save after loading it will update the game save to the new version.
  18. Tournaments?

Maybe you know some magical secret techniques that I don't but it seems almost impossible to "put some distance" between myself and the enemy. Skills advance incredibly slowly in this game and I didn't put every point available into athletics at the character creation stage. So trying to run away really doesn't do anything since enemies can run just as fast or faster. Especially back-peddling, which seems to have an extra speed reduction. Trying to turn around and run is just an invite for a jab in the back though.

When you say you manage 20 damage consistantly, is that to the head? Because I did mention that was the only way to stand a chance. Typically a body shot will do 2 damage and a head shot will do 20 or so to fully decked out knights. Having to aim only for headshots is bad though. Especially when the enemy are capable of destroying you in 3 body shots (or 1 head shot if they do an overhead).

Spears and jumping? I don't really want to have to use some weird play-style that makes my guy look retarded, jumping around with a spear and trying to jab people in the head mid-air. It'd be a very quick way to ruin my immersion.
The enemies don't exactly step back and let you catch your breath (unlike Warband) but it certainly isn't impossible to create some distance if you time it correctly. Try to utilize shield bashing as well if you're using a shield since it knocks the enemy backwards leaving them exposed.

Striking to the body of max tier cavalry with the sword thrust attack in tournaments regularly does 20 damage (my one handed is something like 30-40) for me. Running up against the enemy and attack indeed does not deal a lot of damage, which is why you need keep up to the enemies' pace and manage the distance. Running at an enemy and thrusting deals a lot more damage than backpeddaling while the enemy chases after.

I meant "get the jump" figuratively, as in if you can get the first hit or catch enemies off guard. I feel that spears are overall a lot better than Warband since you can't just perma block + piercing damage seems to be buffed. In Warband enemies were just invincible if they had good armor unless you had a mace, in Bannerlord it seems that armor is less effective overall.
  19. Archers not firing until point-blank

I found that archers wouldn't fire because they were standing too close to eachother. They will also not fire if the target is not clear, so putting infantry in front led to them not firing. Try to order them to spread out and see if it helps. It also seems that archery range in general is a lot lower than Warband, at least for low level troops.
