    Haven't you noticed my last screenshots? Dynamic shadows are already ingame and the atmosphere is amazing but they are slightly bugged as the game keeps switching them off and on randomly while walking around

    I struggle to understand your comments, what I have proposed would require the work of only a part of the team, this would not affect the rest and would not take away resources from other areas of the game that need to be improved.
    Moreover, I'm not asking the moon as the artificial lights are already capable of casting around shadows in the charachter menu and there are even selfie shadows when you encounter other party members.

    Spears were meant also to holding space from the enemy so it was really hard to break a trained formation frontally, even harder against pikes and that's why they ruled europe battles for centuries.
    Solutions I propose:
    1: create special ai behaviour and formations for spearmen and pikemen were they all keep the spear lowered when the enemy is getting closer, ready to strike with thrusts.
    2: give spears and pikes a collision box when aimed frontally, this would prevent the enemy to pass magically through them.

    I don´t really think that it does matter where they come from. They just don´t care. :grin:

    If you don´t care it doesn´t matter if you are turkish, polish, german, italian, chinese or whatever. They made their money with the EA release and thats it. Soon(2-3 months) those "wannabe" updates will stop and they will call it a finished game.

    Steam reviews will also change, they have a awesome fanbase, but even the fanboys will have to face reality.

    Maybe a spear used two handed should give you something akind to a shield bash. In the end a spear is a pointy stick to stab people so except for polearms (glaives, halberds, bills etc.) swinging it would not do much by comparison. You would however do it to parry and bring the enemy back to a distance so smacking him to stagger him back might be something which would add gameplay without making it too complicated.
    I don't know, I'm not an expert but if I find myself in that situation I would use a shorter grip.

    The whole spear combat in bannelord is just wrong and obsolete, you shouldn't be able to block a thrust except with a shield.
    I suggested a new system for deflect thrust way before the closed beta but nobody listened, I'm sure it would have been amazing and innovative.

    No, the neck protection is small because they kept the old model structure of warband, like the sectioned legs at the knee that you can't find in any other game.

    The picture looks pretty flat and dull though.

    On the other hand photography is probably the worst possible example to show lighting, it mostly depends on the camera and the abilities of the photographer.

    Try posting a Bob Ross painting instead. ?
    Again we are taking into consideration the lighting on metal surfaces, not the whole scene.
    I don't get your joke, I don't understand why a photography have to be worst example, do you think a video of the same scene would be any different? My picture have similiar lighting and time of the day of the game's screenshots.
    For me that's just flat lighting downgraded for performance, if you like it I'm happy for you.

    Hello johncage it's always a pleasure to see old dear friends! yes, as you I was expecting more progresses but overall I like how the humans move in bannerlord, I find them much better than KCD.
    That pose in the first pic is exagerrated but nothing not human or totally innatural, look at this:


    almost everyone use a pose with closer legs but someone have more a combat stance with wider legs.
    For the rest I'm with you, seeing again upper part of the legs attached to the armour is bad, like the splitted aventails.
