A LOT of people are getting this. It's not a problem with our firewalls or computers. It seems to be a game/server side issue.

I have the same issue. I had an older version of Warband, then I reformatted my hard drive, got the newest version and suddenly I cannot connect to the server to authenticate. So, it's something in the newer version it seems that is causing this.
