Dear developers the engine looks outdated.

The game has been in development going on 14 years, it's outdated itself many times over. It's a thing of the past rutting itself into the future.
That's not entirely a bad thing, looking at some recent games and some deemed from the 'future'... 😅

Dear developers the engine looks outdated.

don't tell me it's a matter of taste please
same for the maps, look at this
I've aknowledged your point. What I refer to a 'matter of taste' is the items that can be considered complete. There are items that needs work, so I agree with you.
    And nice video/mod! 😊

Dear developers the engine looks outdated.

I'd also like to point out that for the items that can be considered finished, 'good or bad' kinda depends on the taste.. it is subjective.
but some items indeed have the need of some more work, on that I agree.

Dear developers the engine looks outdated.

The issue with the game's look is the art direction, not the technology.
    What's the issue?

Dear developers the engine looks outdated.

Where Bannerlord needs work is in its gameplay balance and design, not its graphics.
    +1

Can you please enable removal of Order of Battle and set teams with numbers like it was before?

do you know of any mode that can remove it?
I don't know any mod for this, sorry.. 😐

Can you please enable removal of Order of Battle and set teams with numbers like it was before?

Well there were some changes to the order of battle... but the old system ain't coming back, i suppose.
If your gripe was about 'tier' differentiation, there is an option now

    Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

Will it take a long time to get out of beta and reach consoles?
    probably 😥

    Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

I find it normal to ask and to hope, what I find not normal is people who criticize, even though the updates are free. Bugs are normal for a code with so many mechanics and branches.
I think I understand whre you're coming from... And i kinda agree. I disagree that the updates were free.. they were paid when the game is bought.
But some people are just tired I guess. Yes, game development is hard and not everything got to make out the cutting floor...
For me, bugs never were the problem. Take Cyberpunk for instance, even without bugs, the game is nothing more than an FPS action adventure on rails. and I don't even say it's a bad thing per se, its just that wasn't what were promised.
I think Bannerlord is coming along, the last update was good, eventually the pieces will fall into place and the game will reach it's peak (though not everybody will agree to this)

    Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

That would be fantastic. Also, mercenary minor factions which are described as elite warriors, like the Skolderbroda and Ghulam and Legion and Company of the Boar, should really have T5 troops.

It's ridiculous that they're described as these super highly trained rich badasses who love combat and fighting is their whole life, but they don't even go up to T5 let alone T6.

Something that makes Hidden Hand, Lake Rats, Wolfskins, Eleftheroi, Jawwal, Brotherhood, Karakhergit etc., feel like the criminals that they are supposed to be would be great.

Agreed. Minor faction bases were actually shown on the world map in the 2016 demo yet for some reason are not in the final game.

They would be perfect as a location for minor factions to stock up on their own troops, considering that most of the time minor factions have hardly any of their unique troops and just use normal troops.

It would also be good to have these bases as a location to hire minor factions as mercenaries without having to chase them down, or to directly recruit their troops, or perhaps to complete issue quests for them to raise relations.
    All great ideas too.

    Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

A mechanic where I can join the minor factions!

A mechanic where mercenary minor factions can sell warriors from their roster.
A mechanic where mercenary minor factions can train my army for a price.

A mechanic where religious minor factions can spread their religion (and influence).
A mechanic where religious minor factions can heal and/or motivate my army for a price.

A mechanic where outlaw minor factions can buy my outlaw prisioners.
A mechanic where outlaw minor factions can trade various black market products.

They need bases, missions, and the possibility to also attack cities and castles!
I want, for example, to be able to lead the Wolfskins and conquer part of Battania!
Yes. They need to become what their description says, not just some random mercenary troops.

    Disorganized State?

No clue if personality does anything because whenever I do it, they run right to the enemy and tackle them. The only thing that causes it to go wrong is if I assign too few troops so they get defeated before my main party/army can catch up.

edit: Actually, I just remembered one rub: if you assign way too few troops to the party, they'll go and recruit instead. I forget how many I sent minimum, but it was around 25-40 cavalry/HA to the party.
    Nice!
  14. Count_Morfetico

    Disorganized State?

    There is, in practice:
You can already do this by forming a small (15-50) party of all-mounted troops under one of your companions. They'll beeline straight for your target and engage, as long as you are close enough to support them.

The post is from three years ago, but it still worked the last time I did a complete playthrough.

Really? I didn't knew that this was possible haha after so much time in this game. Never did use this option, will surely try

But I guess the chances are greater if the companion is daring or impusive?

    This mindless castle exchange

I think if they added a late game invasion that is likely to steamroll as an optional add-on to the game, or made the empires much more likely to fall in a few in game years in the base game (maybe sandbox mode only), it the game would feel more exciting. I think the game would benefit from having more asymmetry in its factions. Another option would be to add city-states (factions with a single town) to the game with very large garrison and high income (maybe those towns could have 4-5 villages bound to them) so that you can choose to challenge yourself by joining them as a vassal.
    Yeah, that could work too.
To my taste it would be better if the factions differences stand out more, and the chaos would come more organically, like, depending on the world state some factions could have a real possibility to snowball (not always the same ones ofc)
To me that's the optimal course but there are maybe balance issues to get there..
  16. Count_Morfetico

Why the hell is there no right of passage?!

How do you guys get caught when you have a party size of 1? Your map speed is like 7+ at that point.
My guess would be the extra horses haha
  17. Count_Morfetico

    This mindless castle exchange

It was actually more entertaining in a way, because you had a soft time limit and couldn't afford to wait decades just building up skills, relations and money. The Khuzaits were comin' and they waited for no man. That was the late game threat you had to prepare for or go out of your way to mitigate.
That's what I thought too, it was a little bit more chaotic.. In some versions the game was sooo stale, nothing happened without the player input. 1.2.2 is good, but it'll be even better with more chaos
  18. Count_Morfetico

Resolved Kicked out of Castle under siege

This bug is present in 1.2.2.
When in a settlement during a siege, my faction makes peace with a minor mercenary faction, i get kicked out of my settlement.
  19. Count_Morfetico

Why the hell is there no right of passage?!

I agree that there should be a little time margin to escape... but if you are travelling alone, the speed should be enough to avoid most enemies armies. What I normally do is to get rid of any extra horses cause they add the 'herding' penalty to speed, and then i get away

    This mindless castle exchange

What is this snowballing you all seem to know about? I havent a clue.
In the beggining of early access there was this 'problem' where one faction would conquer and bulldoze all the others...For me personally, it wasn't a problem per se, just cause it was generally the same faction who'd be in this place (khuzait if im not mistaken) and then they fixed by making no one snowball ever... which for me it's not really the perfect solution, but still...
