  1. Multiplayer mods can't be made until 2024 unless we find an alternative

    The multiplayer server system, much like the game, is still in development. I understand the arguments put forward for sharing the files ASAP, in particular for modders, but there is still work to be done on them.
    Yeah but I think we have a special circumstance here with a very dedicated modding community that you guys aren't leveraging. I understand you need to get a framework in place so that the server files are extendable, but more communication about custom server plans is the number one ask that people are talking about in game. I know its hard to quantify that, but its my experience from countless hours of playing Siege since July.

    I played TDM today with about 8 people total. 4 vs 4, and as an Aserai Archer, I felt like a sniper with the new faster release perk. It seems like instead of nerfing crossbows, they buffed all other ranged. Idk, it’s too early to say definitively but it might need to be tuned separately for Siege and TDM custom servers from ranked Skrimish and Captain that you can actually queue for with today’s player base

    A small multiplayer roadmap would be nice to have, just to see TWs priorities for the near future.
    This right here would put a lot of people at ease. So again it goes back to a lack of communicate about multiplayer on TW's part.

    The current state of Siege as a gameplay experience is the closest thing we have to custom servers right now on Bannerlord 2. And I really think Siege could become wildly popular compared to Captain and Skirmish if it had just a little more polish (more maps, not having to queue between rounds). Which would go a long way for getting Taleworlds to devote resources towards custom servers, if they had a large player base to cater to again.

    I think a lot of the people that play Bannerlord 2 multiplayer regularly would agree that if the devs put some more resources into custom servers it would really help attract and keep more players for whatever else they plan to do with multiplayer. Progression System, Duels, E-sports... etc

    Hey thank you. I intended for everyone to spawn inside, so its not by design that you spawn outside, with G captured. Ill look into it!

  6. Siege Baravenos Encirclement

    First off thank you for the map changes, it was getting very annoying having to deal with G backcappers that would end the game early. But now there is another problem with the defender spawns. They are too close once it's just G left. Ever since the map change I haven't seen attackers win any rounds where the server is semi populated - full. Defenders have it way too easy now.

    I've had the players on my team try several different strategies to overcome this, from coordinated charges thru the breach / gate, to having archers take the G wall and shoot down on the defenders. Or even a small squad try and hold the dark tower room behind G flag. The result is the same every time. We end up getting overwhelmed by the defenders, even if we have most of the team in the G courtyard.

    A simple solution:
    -Move attackers spawns to only be inside the castle once it's just G. Currently most of the team still spawns outside the walls, making it take forever to run back to G flag. Yesterday I got spawned on F, and that was super annoying trying to win the round.
  7. Resolved Fist fighting of any sort on siege causes crash

    We've been trying to test this today, it seems like it only works on siege map 005
