    I found another bug, I accepted a quest from a Lord to bust his buddy out of jail. Everything went fine until we got out into the streets. They were aggressive towards me and I was forced to put them down. The quest can't be completed.

    ah, ok, so it's basically the low tier is much better noble wise. It always boggled my mind, I have looked at most of the noble's stats, and they never added up to the top tier commoner lol

    Ya, I found huscarls without shields or berserkers with shields rather annoying. Also, thanes with horses. I ended up editing the troops file to fix that, but it takes a lot of work.

    I believe a couple of guys are currently reworking all the troops right now, let me dig out the thread.
