  1. Feedback: Show item tooltips when hovering over items on the Barter screen

I have a hard time bartering sometimes because the barter window does not show item tooltips when mousing over them and because there are some items I don't want to sell / barter. Can you please let us see item tooltips on the barter dialog? If only for consistency's sake (since other UIs like...
  2. Please add an "Upgrade All" button

    Guys, come on.

Upgrade all would iterate the collection of troops ready for upgrade.

If there is one upgrade branch, attempt the upgrade. For each troop that can't be upgraded (due to cost or missing perk), simply do nothing.

If there is are two upgrade branches, redirect the troop to a second collection that will contains only troops that require a user decision.

If there are any troops that require a decision, present a new dialog with the list of troops and allow the user to make the decision.

When all are upgraded, before applying the upgrade, display a dialog informing the player of costs. Allow OK or Cancel actions.

    If accepted, upgrade 'em.

Or, personally, I'd be happy with a filter in the party list that trims the list view down to only troops that are eligible for upgrade. It would make it a little easier to just click through them all.
  3. Can you make caravans worthwhile?

That's what I'm thinking too. A week ago I was telling people the starting town doesn't matter so much and people were all convinced it was a reason to their caravan racking in money or not.
Weird. The starting town is literally exactly the same as every other town. None of them matter much. And at the same time, all of them are very important once you start capturing cities. (Villages produce food your cities need to keep productivity up.)
  4. Beta Branch e1.1.0

Yes, that's true, but a customer buying an incomplete product when they've been specifically warned over and over that it wasn't, and then rage cause it's incomplete is just bs.
I guess we've all had poor experiences with EA, pretty sure this isn't one though
Not sure what you mean. That little snippet I quoted is literally the only information about early access, beta, etc. that most buyers will ever see. And anyway, if Taleworlds really wants player feedback as a form of beta testing, they should make the game free to play until it launches officially. When people are asked to pay for the product, they understandably infer certain expectations.
  5. Beta Branch e1.1.0

You definetly buy in full knowledge of the state of the game. There are no unhappy customers here, just dumb ones. EA implies being part of the game devellopement, the ones expecting this to be finished and then griping cause there are bugs or they don't like it should just wait full release
On Steam, the only detail about this is the provided snippet on the product page (which is generic and used across all EA products):

Note: This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more
    Emphasis mine.

And regardless, there's never (whether EA or not) any contract between customer and publisher regarding content and features of the game. Companies can and do make significant changes to released games all the time.

The point I'm making is that if people paid money for your product, you are beholden to their feedback. No one is entitled to anything. The devs can do whatever they want. But unhappy customers are unhappy customers. Complaints about new game state are valid (unless they aren't for other reasons). No amount of "but... beta!" is going to change the customer's sentiment.
  6. My suggestion to make hideouts more fun.

I was talking about Steppe Bandits, my mistake. You start at the entry to a small valley and the cave's entrance is a hundred meters ahead on the left side. And yes I know the difference, you don't know anything about manners, dude!

No troubles between Dr-Shinobi and me, thanks for taking care.
The actual post said "always" not "the detection range is to far". You don't understand what you read either, do you?
Complain about his manners and then escalate... smooth, mate.

Hideouts usually aren't bad once you figure out leadership controls. Telling your troops what to do makes it much easier. So does having a well trained party. (I do not get my top troops in the party list. I get archers every time and all my archers are at the bottom of my list.)

For me the real problem with hideouts is the insane accuracy ranged units have. My troops' AI is kind of stupid sometimes and gets hit in the face with ranged attacks pretty often. The ONLY way I've lost troops in average sized hideouts (<20) is by ranged attacks. And in this regard, those hideouts just become a numbers game. Don't even try if there are a lot of bandits there.

Something some people might not know about bandit hideouts is that they are actually a spawning mechanic. Bandit parties spawn there and will wait there a few days before they leave to patrol. You can simply wait at a very well staffed bandit hideout until a few parties leave, then wait for night and attack. But you get lower renown and fewer rewards doing it this way.

Also, the hideouts that are part of quests are usually spawned by the quest. That means by the time you get there, the hideout will probably have the base number of troops, which is usually a very reasonable number. You shouldn't be having trouble with quest hideouts unless the quest selects a hideout that previously existed (which it can do for the villager quests, but not for the Bannerlord quests).

Ermagerd ranged though! Steppe Bandits and Sea Bandits with more than maybe 30-40 depending on placement are just completely impossible for such a small raid group of semi-randomly selected troops.
  7. Beta Branch e1.1.0

So new character starting skill points are 120 now... what does that mean? Is this an increase or a decrease? And by how much?
That's the whole problem with EA in the first place, it's a misleading marketing term. People don't realize they're participating in an open beta already, if you serve them a unstable version of the game, sh*t will flow on the forums and steam reviews.
Haha, horse poopoo. Once you start charging for the service, you're in prod whether you like it or not. No amount of "but... but... beta!" is going to satisfy unhappy customers.

But I think Taleworlds is actually doing a good job keeping this in mind. I haven't seen breaking changes between release versions (except maybe with mod integrations, and bugs in beta aren't a big deal. That's why beta is being made available for play testing.
  8. What happened to tier 4+ armor?

Maybe a side effect of the changes to equipment. From 1.1.0 patch notes:
    • Added more variation to helmet drops from troops.
