  1. The good, yet terribly made game. Mount & Blade: Bannerlord

    There is DEFINITELY something missing in Bannerlord that was there in Warband. I can't quite define what it is.
    The combat is also less responsive than Warband (except for archery, it feels really good in Bannerlord)

    I really like Bannerlord, I truly do, but it does not give quite the same feeling as Warband did. And I never played Warband with mods, so I'm comparing vanilla versions here.

    For me it's been like this since day one. that's why I'm never autolooting. It used to be really bad in Warband too but I can't remember if you used to lose so many troops.

    why not allow the player to choose the caravan size? larger caravan = more costs, less risk and less profit.

  5. How long do your caravans last on e1.2.0 and e1.1.0?

    now you don't even have a nice way to generate money.. workshops are WORTHLESS, and caravans are even more of a money sink :\

    I know this is a long shot, but maybe we should be able to choose how many guards we want to send with our caravans? less guards -> cheaper upfront price, but larger risk and possible larger profits (since you won't be paying their salaries). more guards -> larger upfront price, but more safe as well.

    it would also be nice to have more input on what a caravan does, like choosing its routes, what it sells, how much to spend etc.
  6. Things to insta fix in the Single Player

    What kingdoms come out on top is random. For me the northern empire is the last empire faction still standing and battania was the first to go, while for others battania always kills its neighbors early etc.

    I don't really like mods but some people seem to be very much into it.

  9. 126 hours in : some remarks about the late game

    In Warband you used to get the message "Enemy troops spotted near *town*", but I haven't seen such messages in Bannerlord yet. Might be a good way to hint you that an invasion is coming.

    Yeah you don't need to use a new save game unless you want to.

    I did this for some time but stopped it as it was too boring. Going around, traveling and following trade rumours is more fun IMO
  13. This game is literally unplayable!!!

    I can simulate a 250v250 battle with barely any stuttering, but in-game a simple 20v20 battle will make the game stutter ;\
  14. Does the Bannerlord map make sense, when compared to that of Warband?

    I'm really loving the new map. It has so much more detail than the warband map (which I also really liked). You just have to imagine/think that the Warband was an abstraction of a region while the Bannerlord map is a lesser abstraction, just like you don't control your whole army in the overworld, but a single "character".

  16. Dude... Mounted Bandits are *HILARIOUSLY* Over-Powered

    I think it's easier if you tell your troops to form a shield wall and tell them to wait, try to send your archers to higher ground too.
  17. Detailed towns etc. "Useless"?

    I just wish you could have more possibilities in towns.. maybe buy land, build residential buildings for renting or building your workshop of choice, I don't know. I like how detailed and alive the towns feel, but there isn't much reason to visit them right now

    The heavy cavalry line is Vaegir knights basically.
    yeah, I wish we had the archers though. Don't see the reason why they mixed vaegirs and nords in a single faction instead of dividing them.

    I wouldn’t mind Vaegirs at all. Just miss Nords that’s all.
    I miss the vaegir bowmen. All the sturgian units remind me a lot of Warband's Nord infantry units, but they have no unit equivalent to warband's vaegirs as far as I know

    I'm actually missing the vaegirs, as I think the sturgians are too Nord-based for my tastes. I don't know why they decided to have only one faction merging those two but THREE separate empire-based factions.
