Leveling Soldiers Early Other Then on Looters?

"Raise the Meek" Skill in Leadership, but Looters are way faster.

You get XP for any combat, it doesn't have to be looters, they're just the safest. But if you draw sea raider's Javelins before a charge, even a peasant army can beat sea raiders if you got like a 2:1 advantage or more.

Are we having less female wanderers in beta?

I didn't know wanderers can leave your party without your input

Sending them on missions and getting the bug where they get lost in the Ether. Only way to retrieve them is kick them from the clan and rehire.

Formation system need a rework: infantry just can't fight properly

Creating a problem yourself, then selling a fix for it? You've just invented capitalism.

That's like saying the Irish Potato famine invented communism bro. Yes, Profiteering is an aspect of Capitalism, just like starvation is an aspect of Communism. But they're aspects, not genisis.

Formation system need a rework: infantry just can't fight properly

Yes, Formations and Infantry do need a lot of work.

The AI in general, since Beta 1.1, can't defend itself properly. It becomes basically a match of who gets the first hit for the stunlock win, because the AI just keep trying to wind up a swing.

Spears also are almost useless. Almost. They are better at stopping a cavalry rush now that AI can track a bit better, but it's still weak.

Some Companions start with no Perks/Attributes/Focus points allocated.

That's pretty much the mechanic with companions: you don't manage their lives from childhood to where you meet them. They have their own backstory and set of skills growing up. You have to deal with the cards that you are dealt. Remove auto-allocation, level them a bit, put the focus where you want it to be.

OR, just find a better companion and kick the ones you don't like, new ones actually appear now, I had a trash medic but I kept her until I found my healer with 6 INT and 80 Medic, then I dropped the other one. The game would be way too easy if you could just respec them, they're cheap as hell to hire.

They don't though. it's RNG except for the Skills. Explain why some dainty Surgeon has 10VIG and 0INT with no Focus points in Medicine, yet somehow she has 80 Skill in it? Don't sit here and pretend like <Generic Name> the <Generic Title> is going to offer some extremely deep and meaningful story. These are procedurally generated NPCs, and if the procedure can't match their attributes and focus to their declared skills, then it has to be left up to the player to fix that.

Caravans should be safe income source or not?

Caravans are definitely OP. All caravans, not just player caravans, need a speed nerf so it's realistic to attack them, particularly with cavalry heavy war parties.

Also, one user pointed out that it would be cool if the caravans could be completely retooled to actually be a live party in your kingdom, not just an automatic thing. I think that's a fantastic idea, but let's not get lost on flights of fancy.

When bandits successfully raid a caravan, its loot should be stored in the nearest aligned bandit base as well (Appropriate balance-related decay and caps of course) giving more of a reason to attack them, and a greater reward for the 7 on 20+ scenario. I don't know how deep the bandit mechanics actually are, but if bandits themselves could have an economy function and become more dangerous/powerful as they successfully raid (IE, Mountain Bandits start spawning disproportionately more Highwaymen instead of Hillmen) creating a greater incentive to fight the bandits (or if you have master Roguery, better use of the Merry Men perk when it functions)

Some Companions start with no Perks/Attributes/Focus points allocated.

This is how all companions should generate. I'm sick of hiring a "Surgeon" with "60" medicine skill. And 0 Intelligence.

Are we having less female wanderers in beta?

The only female wanderer I recruited, Zeindneya the Leopardess or something, cost me 12k, and then I gave her an additional 10K worth of gear. She left my party immediately and went to Phycaron. I wanted to get my gear back, but now her hire cost is 82k.

I got simped by a videogame. I am now on an active THOT patrol in my campaign, executing any female lords I come across.

[Video]: Demo of 1v1 AI problems

would love to see a tournament AI programmed to fight like a spastic high level player with massive amounts of feigning, chamber blocking and movement.

No you wouldn't. Making an unbeatable AI is easy. Computers do not make mistakes.

[Video]: Demo of 1v1 AI problems

Easy solution is have the AI move forward and to their right, when they are engaging a target on their left flank.

2h units are useless unless archers get nerfed

The issue being, if they nerf archers to the point that they can barely kill 2h soldiers, they're going to be absolutely useless against soldiers with shields.

What they need to do is allow us to put units in custom selection groups like we could in WB. That way you can effectively keep the 2H's behind the shields and not just a single infantry bunch that it is now.

I set any Infantry unit that DOES NOT have a shield, as either a Skirmisher or Heavy Infantry, this works fine. Keep the Shieldless right behind the shield wall, and slowly march them both forward to the archer line. Make sure you have your shield wall set to "Hold Fire" so they don't expose themselves to throw axes or javelins. When you're on top of the archer line, the 2handers in the back will rush forward and cut down the ranged.

Mixing in 2handers with Spear users is also about the only effective anti-cav right now. Spears alone don't do enough damage to actually hurt cavalry. But if you spear them to stop the horse charge, then 2handers come in and kill all the cav, well, that does work.

XP needs substantial boost across the board; characters AND troops

Play the 1.1 beta and level 30 in 2 hours at max.
Troops maybe need a little more boost on xp, but with the 1-2-3 tier medium xp boost per dar Perk you should be ok probably.

He in fact player level is so fast there than i think a ran into a bug... My character have 1030 of Smithing :p (300 is the max i think)
But yeh maybe i broke it playing with the dev console a bit.

OId or new save? You shouldn't be hitting level 30 in 2 hours on a fresh save with Beta 1.1. But because of an xp calc oversight, you can definitely hit 30-4000 in less than 3 minutes on an old save, depending on how much XP you have banked, lol.

    Sword and Bord

This is true, the more skilled/higher tier troops actually perform feints and shield bashes/kicks as well, not as often as you'd want but they do actually know how to do them.

What AI setting are you using? Since Beta 1.1, even on Challenging, all the AI in combat is totally braindead. They USED to do stuff like this before the AI changes based on skill level (In fact, you could accuse low level AI of being too strong, most notable when fighting the trainers in the tutorial) but even on Challenging, a Lord will not even attempt to block. Just swing and hope he's faster (he never is)

Beta e1.1.0 Possible Issue/Oversights with Auto-resolve XP, Poor Combat AI now with the skill-tied AI?

It seems like this may have been an unintended effect of reducing Auto-resolve XP, but Lords are having a much harder time assembling experienced Armies. Most forces now are 1/2 to 2/3 Recruits, where before the XP changes, a good 80% of an enemy force was TIII or higher. Is there perhaps...

[1.1.0 Beta] Low skill xp gain is too high now

0-100 are pretty fast, especially with focus. After 100 you REALLY need 3 or more focus.

Also, don't forget, Hero Mortality is going to come eventually. The fast skill ups are going to be necessary for a long game so you're not throwing 300 hours into skill ups only to lose it all in one battle.

With 5 focus, you gain XP extremely fast, even over 200, but still, your XP rate drops off a cliff after around 250, so to reach true mastery, you're still looking at a huge amount of time invested.

What do you guys think about that characters are able to walk/run while attacking on foot?

The movement in the game is an abstraction, not a 1:1 recreation. your "Movement" while attack is essentially you shifting your weight around to properly deliver power. Because the alternative is to stand there like a tree and just move your arms and maybe your torso.

Actually watch how people like HEMA fight, Movement is critical to every attack, and even though the feet are planted, the rest of the body is almost always moving somewhere during a strike.

Because the game can't create 3000 different points of articulation the player can individually control on a human body, simple WASD movement is an abstraction of this effect.
