    Perks need total rework.

    The worst examples are:
    Rougery at 275. You can hire bandits to yuor party instead of slaying them. At this time in the game it will be useless.

    Polearms 275. +30% couch lance damage.it already deals 400+. For what reason you need aditional 30%? To kill elephants or dragons?

    Charm 275: every 5 skills above 250 give you 1 influence per day... You have the trader perk at 250 that gives you influence for every shop or caravan.

    Agreed, not I got 20k + influenced and you really don't need that much influenced in late game.

    Struggle to find things to spend it also.

    Yes, It is working.

    So the best way is:

    1. Meet the army
    2. Give averyone a coin
    3. Save\load
    4. Repeat

    But exept 2 first perks charming is kinda useless.

    And that's not a good thing, if a skills is irrelevant or don't provide some extend of fun in game then it's bad design.

    It's not about balance but the experience of playing a game. You cannot make some players suffered whole 100 hours gameplay if they putting focus points in same bad designs developer create.

    Imagine if you pick a classes in Diablos 2 and it sucked and make you die more than you needed the whole playthrough. Then the game would be toast.

    I don't know how F4 works with massive horse archer armies, as I newer tried it, but it must work much better then telling them to charge, because then they will head strait in to melee.

    But as a harassing tactics it works very well for me. Lesser accuracy is not something related to AI, it's just a fact that accuracy suffers when firing from a galloping horse. Which is fine by me. However on F4 horse archers will circle enemy, which opens his unshielded sides and lesser accuracy is not really an issue against large infantry blobs. Moreover fast moving horse archers are hard to hit by the foot archers, so there are some pros that balance out cons.

    Moreover even few horse archers or skirmish cav will mess up enemy attack as they will often turn to face them, opening them to my foot archers, slowing down their attack and so on. I find it as a very good harassing tactics. I find them also very survivable even in very small groups, because they will outrun enemy heavy cav and are hard to hit by enemy fire.

    I know the pros and cons of mobilizes, that's why I tell the majority of them to following me and I can control when they will move and when they should stop. That's how I win and 300 vs 600 battle with 2 digits casualty. (if I didn't accidentally get stuck at those dumb AI and forced to reload and clean those horse units on opposite fast enough).

    I can still shot enemies in a horse battle in relatively close range and it's fine by me as long as the opposite lower tier enemies don't "magically" super accurate on horse back like I noticed in some patched. But it's a downgrade experiences given in Fire & Sword I can snipe a shield up horse unit headshot (or anywhere it expose outside their shield) when I have my best equipment and skill level I need.

    Now with this new system I can only shoot their horse 1st and it's more like 1/2 or 2/3 at best in accuracy.

    I don't think F4 is OP in this game cause the horse archery accuracy is not very good in moving even for 280 bow and 280 riding Khan's guard.

    Usually what I do is leave a portion's of archer in original position, put some archer in left and I bring the rest of 200+ archer following me. That way I can maximize the shooting angle and slow down to shoot (maximize accuracy) if I see the window.

    But the currently f1-f2 is very broken and borderline useless, in the term of :

    1. They don't maintain any formation and often run into each other and get hit when you tell them to follow you. (I remember in Fire and Sword they will form one or two long line behind me.)
    2. They will swarming you and trap you in side if you slowdown and shoot more than 2 arrow, and then the collision make you unable to move and you need to use f1-f1 manually so those retards can move again (It take a while for them to move using f1-f1 also).
    3. Those archer will change to melee range weapon occasionally and won't shoot if enemies closing to a certain distance. (I suggest the F4 make them "stay at range" instead of "fire at will" and hold fire make them change to melee)

    PS: it doesn't help current horse archery is kinda broken and not as good as in the Fire & Sword game cause the release method and accuracy calculation, even in very close range.     So i need just to find a castle with few nobles, then barter and save load?

    No, you need to do it on world map, when you see someone other than villagers get by, engage them and perform this trick (the game will automatically pause).

    Actually you can trade with a same person infinitely, just save and load after every barter and you can do it again (need to stop the time 1st ofcourse), usually I just doing this trading things to hunting war horse in late game.

    After the nerf on steppe bandit warhorse drop lately (at least that's how I feel), now the primary way to hunt warhorse is the 50% production of horse riding skills (in Khuzait territory) and bartering (taking their war horses) with those Khuzait lords.

    That's not what I am talking about. You can split/transfer any preset group IN THE BATTLE. Just hit F-whatever it is key (can't remember from top of my head as I am not using it often) while having a group selected and it will bring up a bar, where you can draw number of troops that will split and be assigned to a new group.

    This will not persist after the battle, so you have to do it every battle if you want to. It's bit inconvenient if you want to do it every battle, but I just want to let you know that there is such a option. Players don't usually know about it.

    Another thing players don't realize, cos game does not really tell you that, is the difference between charge (F3) and advance (F4) commands. Charge will send unit in to close melee, even for example missile cavalry. Advance will on the other hand make missile troops (including foot archers and foot units with throwing projectiles) to keep the distance until they run out of ammo. That's very useful with horse archers and other missile cav as they will do proper skirmishing. Units on advance will also not chase fleeing units, or if you want your units to chase down fleeing enemy.

    The only time you want to use charge order instead of advance is if you want your heavy infantry that has throwing weapons go and engage enemy in melee without exhausting their ammo.

    I knew about the F3 and F4 different, but usually I just pick a hill in a direction I like and f1-f1 cause I don't like my archer go melee even after they ran out of arrows. And of course I never trust any of them to "keep their distance" cause the AI command is completely a mess. E.G Like i mentioned before the "follow me" command of 300 horse archers is a mess.

    What seems to be problem is the grouping functions is completely a mess. You can have 2 archers group until you save/load is bad enough, don't really think I can split them for every match in game and have to load everytime if I forgot.

    You can split any group in the battle using commands. You can assign half of your horse archers to new group and then send each on the different flank.

    I knew that, but there've been 2 problems.

    For one, the grouping thing doesn't save properly and you need to do that everytime you load or that armies wipe out.

    2ndly, You need to have at least 2 groups of different tier horse archer and not 1 group says Khan's Guard break into 2.

    Gotta use some strategy in commanding your troop, usually my casualty vs them would be 1 for 3-5 depends on terrain.

    The AI is very easy to cheese.

    Well, maybe not clockwise then but I still can split them to both side to shoot shielded enemy, now with the grouping don't save and only 1 group I can only make them follow me, which doesn't help with it's so bugged and always trapping me and blocking me.

    To answer OP question, you can use F1+F1 to move your army in a formation (you can use F3 to change formation such as shield up, circle and line formation) and F2 to change their face direction if they're facing their enemy with their back.

    I think they can definitely improving currently bare-bone and bugged AI commands. For 1, the manually face direction constantly bugged and the "auto face your enemy" options sometime bug also vs undetected enemy in infiltration.

    Also there is no preset command like to split your horse archery to left and right unit with the left unit circulating enemy in clockwise and right units circulating in counter clockwise. Hell, they can't even do the "follow me" command right and currently instead of following you they will swarming you, blocking your movement and arrow if you slow down or stopped.

    I think the troops grouping function currently also cannot save your troops configuration in save files and currently default grouping is very unfair. It should be change like this. With able to custom configure and assigned according to user.

    1 - Shield Units
    2 - Melee Infantry
    3 - Range infantry Units 1
    4 - Range infantry Units 2
    5 - Horse Melee 1
    6 - Horse Melee 2
    7 - Horse Range 1
    8 - Horse Range 2
    9 - Seige ladder troop 1
    0 - Siege ladder troop 2
    "-" - Siege machine troop
    "+" - Everyone

    PS: Compared to the character skills' system, this look more like the work of a drunk intern. XD

    I think even In Fire and Sword I was using Mod command cause the vanilla commands is so bad.

    I thought it was a bug also given arrows is very cheap and it's imperial town.

    Right, I agree on this. To be fair, the circling counterclockwise works also if you are in heavy armor, and guarantees a win against any opponent 1v1, from what I have been reading. That is what I consider cheesing the game myself. I just think it's not a big deal myself. If a player feels that it ruins their experience they don't have to do it, it is a very specific trick that you definitely can not do on accident.

    To bring an example from an old game: in the original Baldur's Gate you could enter a building while being hidden as a thief, backstab enemies, then run out and they would not follow you. So you could just do this over and over and over and it would make all fights trivial. This didn't stop Baldur's Gate from being one of the best rpgs of its time. You could still play the game just fine and enjoy it a great deal as long as you didn't cheese it.

    Haha, but I had to do that to win cause my currently level in single hand, two hand and polarm is 7,5,5 (and my vigor is 2) XD. There is no way I can win a heavy armor units. Also that is the 1st time I've join tournament and using close combat weapon in Bannerlord. (I join because I see a rare horse that I need in my horse archery)

    I just know it work because the same thing work in Warband.

    Btw it's not just the AI issue, I found it's very useful also in Multiplayers' captain mode where if you instruct your troop attack from their left and you go to their right attack you can kill anyone (with or without shield), especially you don't seem to slowed down if you shield up in Multiplayer. Mobility is too OP, both in singleplayer and multiplayer. With the nerf of riding, archer, shield breaking ability, the shield + spear unit is very Op in Multiplayers.

    I never fell guilty about using that though, cause tournament probably same as looters, our favorite punching bag.

  18. My suggestion to make hideouts more fun.

    Actually just let you select your troops and every night can attack 3 times should be fine. (Also the loots should be based on how many you kill and not the last round bandits)

    It's not that difficult after you know how to command your troops with few tier 6 units, it just annoying you need to wait few days knowing your character can die from waiting too long.

    A realism VS fun discussion again? For me, realism is fun.

    Track individual soldiers' ages, make them grow weaker and retire over time. Not that it will ever matter, given the lifespan of the average trooper in M&B.
    Track each individual item's state, let it degrade over time and with use, and add new game mechanics around preserving food and repairing equipment.
    Make it so that each soldier actually needs to get their equipment, so you either have to provide it for them or they need to be given enough money to go out and buy it.
    Then recover the equipment of all slain soldiers after a battle (or your share, anyways) and cannibalize it to repair your own.

    Overcomplicated, cumbersome, pointless, too much work? I don't care, I'd enjoy it.

    You just talk bull****, I remember a game is about bus driver that the whole game is just around few days trip, but you cannot save for whole trip and what's worst is the whole game is just a straight line but your vehicle will gradually steer to a single side (forgot it's left or right), and that game make the wrost game of all time in many list.

    If realism = fun when why they implement save and load function? Why the game doesn't scale with real world time? Why they don't make you eat and go to toilet like real life?

    The answer is simple, it never was and never will.

    So are you suggesting that we should change AI so that two handed naked guy is no more? Come on man. Is this really the most important thing to address in this game right now?

    Not really, I'm suggesting it's not unreasonable that in 1v1 situation that lighter armor can had some advantage, it's called risk and reward system. It's not like you can use your 1v1 to conquered the Calradia anyway.

    As I already state in my previous post, mobility is very powerful both in game and in reality (The heavy armor SHOULD have slower turn rate, reflexes, swing speed and movespeed), single player and multiplayers. If the game want to nerf this feature for balance I don't object, I will just change to heavier armor just like other RPG then.
