    Oh, you're totally right. Installed 1.143 and the gameplay module worked just fine. The versions look almost the same! Why wouldn't they just call it 1.135.

    haha. Maybe that's what was causing the crashes, too? Going to play the gameplay version and just abandon my full-game save. Will post back if I have any other problems.

    EDIT: This totally fixed the full version too! Just tested my save file, did a huge battle on my normal (high) graphic settings and it all went flawlessly.

    Well, I reinstalled the game with a new download of the file after restarting and I still crash with the bo_tree_5_a error when I launch... This is really annoying. Version 2.5 is the most recent version, correct?

    Also, the game still crashes with my previous save file in expanded module.

    I had been looking at the log after each crash, but it always had only initial data like you say. Is there a setting to disable the log once you're in game, past the loading screen? MurryFolt's log had some savegame information. I never saw that in my own.

    I'm re-downloading Floris, and deleted from my system for now. Hopefully it was just a file corruption causing the bo_tree_5_a error for the gameplay version. I definitely don't need the graphics or sound effects.

    I'll post again when I experience a crash, or if it appears to be fixed. While it's redownloading, any idea about the bo_tree_5_a error?

    So originally I had crashing when fighting Nords, but other battles were fine. Now it crashes in all sorts of battles, even really small ones.

    I was going to downgrade to the gameplay mod (because what's the point in high-res textures if you have to play on low graphics settings), but I get an error when it starts up.

    Catalyst version 11.9. Although ATI is absolutely terrible, and has issues with all sorts of games so this isn't surprising. PS: Downgrading isn't an option, since I need the most recent version to fix performance/overheating issue in games like skyrim and dungeon defenders.

    During development of 2.5 I started getting crashes mid-tournament fights for a couple of weeks out of the blue.  You can imagine how difficult that made developing the tournament overhaul.  Eventually there was a new driver out that fixed the problem, but in the meantime if I used a native module_music.py file (and recompiled) that solved the crashes entirely for me.  If it isn't an issue with your driver being out of date perhaps that might be worth a try.  If you have not gone through the process of setting up the module system for compiling and need help I can help with that.

    Honestly, I have no idea what you are talking about. lol. I'm not a programmer/linux user, so I wouldn't know how to recompile anything. And how would I determine which module is causing the crashes?

    I'm almost convinced this is a driver error. Every time the game crashes I look at the rgl_log and it looks fine, no errors, pretty much what I first posted. Except for when loading the gameplay module, that gives me the error I just mentioned about bo_tree_5_a.

    Hi guys, I just started playing this mod and it's my favorite thus far. It's been more stable than brytenwalda and (much more stable than) sword of democles.

    However, I had my first crash. And it's reproducible. Whenever I fight the nords, the game crashes randomly after landing a killing blow. The unit who dies doesn't seem to matter, and it isn't always the first unit, but I have not made it through a battle against the nords without crashing. Auto-calculated battles against them do not crash, though, so I can still use that as a workaround (and of course lose a stupid amount of troops because it's awful).

    I've tried the FAQ suggestions, using dx7 and setting battlesize to really low. etc.

    There is no lag or low fps prior to the crash, and it only crashes when you kill an enemy, so it's definitely engine/code related. This also only happens for the nords, so I think it's just a bug. It might depend on some weird conditions, so here is a savefile that should work. Just attack that group of nords next to me (Probably use latest file? I included both just in case. My name is "THERES A SNAKE IN MY BOOTS").
