  1. Why was religion not added?

Well even this post is absurd.

If this scope of game was easy to do, it would it’s own genre with dozens of companies doing didn’t eras with releases every 5-10 years.

But it isn’t easy to do, it’s not cheap to do, and every layer either adds another void or replaced another feature
I dont understand what you're trying to say at all.

Something about this game not being easy to make?

If that's the case we'll please, put on the dunce hat because this game was make 12 years ago (or however long) and it was called Warband. It had mods that exceeded the capabilities that bannerlord has today, bar graphics.

Even the bannerlord today had better mechanisms and subsequently better mods before the 1.6 update, but TW shat the bed with their releases, causing modders to leave and players frustrated with their silly game changing mechanics and AI changes.

To put it plainly. If modders can implement some really important features that TW can't then who is at fault?

"Well they're still updating the game" you say?

Well you're a clown I say cause again, they have been working on this for well over a decade and I, like many others would consider this game fairly incomplete, with no hope of ever leaving the cycle of patch update > new game breaking bugs/mechanics > patch update > new game breaking bugs/mechanics. Thats not even mentioning MP.

So if what I gather you are saying is correct, can I please advise you to stop cucking for a multi million dollars company and accepting their incompetence as "Well it is what it is" attitude, because you'll get no white knight medals from them.
  2. Why was religion not added?

    Why wasn't religion added?

Because they haven't even added diplomacy yet?

If your question starts with "why did/didnt TW do X" then just spend 5 seconds longer thinking about it, relate it to TW apparent capabilities and hopefully you shouldn't need to ask the question.

Not because of "Turkish laws" or because its a "risky topic"...like wtf ya'll smoking? Its because they spent 12 years making a game and it's still not passed EA level in terms of broken mechanics, features and bugs.

Stop being thick and justifying a response for incompetence for the sake of sounding interesting and knowledgeable. I know we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel for excuses, but my lord, it's not your barrel to scrape.

Not trying to be rude to op btw.
  3. Why did Talesworld not add slaves ?

Because no region has black people in Calradia. It's not part of the lore.
Are you American? Because this comment oozes American education. There is history before America btw.

And no you don't need a major in history, you just need to not be the most dense person I think anyone here has come across online in a VERY long time.
  4. Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

Guys , will this patch be on PS5 , and when? I couldnt find any info about it. TY!

They don't give time estimates, even broad ones. So my guess would be somewhere between tomorrow and 2025.
  5. Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

That would be big F to anyone with 1050Ti and below.
Not only that, I doubt the VXF would look great either. Currently the snow drops look like ass.

Believe me, I'm aware the majority of the stuff I say is negative about the game, but it truly is a case where nothing TW comes out with is done right.

They must have also fired their sound designer because the horse sounds like it galloping on concrete on most terrain, whether it's stone, or the new snow or wet ground terrains. Just finish something properly before releasing it, lord knows you have been working on it long enough.
  6. Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

So it's been ages since I last tried to play, this looked like a big patch so I decided to give it a go.

It didn't last long before I gave up straight away. Endless senseless loop of the AI armies moving to conquer a castle after another, leaving no garrison while meanwhile a single party from the other faction takes them back, moving ownership repeatedily.

They may have improved the agent's AI, but the campaign AI remain dreadful, it almost feels worse than I remembered it. I have seen at times random parties on the map, including villagers, getting stuck on "holding" in the middle of nowhere, or parties running away from an enemy as they fail to evaluate that with the help of a nearby allied party they would have had the upper end.

Armies/parties sieging that do not flee when they see a bigger army approaching to defend...

I am all for stopping the snowballing, but it felt like no faction was making any real gain because of their sheer stupidity.
That's why I think just cut down the campaign army behaviour. They're trying to make too many calculations and thus do nothing the majority of the time.

An army is formed for one specific goal. To attack or to defend a point. Just like they tended to do. There's no second guessing or faffing around. If a castle falls in the time they get there, then recalculate. If the army is strong enough to attack another target after a seige, then recalculate and do that.
  7. Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

This looks really nice, but the Aserai lands look very deprived of the new weather mechanics. Would TW think of making it rain more often in the Aserai coasts and more importantly, implementing Duststorms/Sandstorms in the southern part of the Aserai (it can have the exact same effects as rain & snow, just different visuals).
They never mentioned sandstorms before from what I can see so it would be unlikely, especially with the visual element they would have to put time and effort into which would be huge, especially as it took them 13 years to put rain/snow in.

A more simple mechanic would be something like temperature, which slows armies down/higher chance of desertion during the summer months for all factions except the Aserai. Forcing to player to consider when to attack. Might be a stupid idea, but something along the same lines which makes the environment more a factor. The same could be done for the Sturgians, but reverse, giving both factions a bit more interest and better defence.

However in writing this out I just realised it would involve some campaign map AI changes which TW are allergic to.
  8. Will devs plan on adding feast back into the game?

More of a grind than a feature IMO. Feasts typically happened at the wrong times strategically and involved repetative conversations with cardboard cutouts to farm relationship points or size up marriage prospects.

"Feasts happened at the wrong time strategically in a game that came out in 2010 with a *minute* level of resources, funding and feedback (even though the majority of players never complained about it but hey-ho, whatever fits your argument).

And THAT is why it could not POSSIBLY be implemented into this new game, with an infinitely larger pool of resources and funding and feedback behind it".

  9. Will devs plan on adding feast back into the game?

But voting? Instant group calls with all parties involved!
They've better fiber broadband than us. And worse inflation than Turkey itself.
  10. Will devs plan on adding feast back into the game?

"We want you to go physically pick up each and every one of your companions every 10minutes of gameplay from the other side of the map because telephones don't exist in medieval times so it's really for realism." - Basically TW.

"We don't see the need for feasts because we use telephones to tell you about peace, war, truce, pregnancy, babies, births, deaths, deals etc." - Basically TW
  11. Is This Game Dead?

    Full release of the PATCH.

*Should be*. That is such a subjective term. Who gets to decide what it *should be*? You bought the game knowing what it had; and what was being worked on currently. I'd like more diplomacy changes but TW have made it clear that aren't working on that right now. Who am I to say it *should* have those changes?

When in doubt, turn to semantics *again*. I could say the say about you and your term of what is "normal" for publisher's to do with games. You mention a couple and take it for gospel. Not my problem you keep buying unfinished games, I on the other hand don't, and find this development procedure stupid.

The game is fully released, and we are in the post release stage. You can find the titles and topics that mention this yourself. So back to what I was saying, yes..a fully released game should have working servers and updates that don't destroy saved game files when it auto updates. "Turn off auto updates then" he cries. Well sorry bud, but a lot of people don't have the option to turn off auto updates for a specific game, they have to turn it off for all games or nothing.

You are the one using an obvious alt account... join 20 days ago did you? Weird that you are so knowledgeable about the decade long development cycle...

Delfect and disregard the topic. Is it that hard to assume I might just be someone who knows about this game without spending a large portion of my life on these forums like yourself?
  12. Is This Game Dead?

What the hell are you talking about?

I'm simply stating it is common practice for video game companies to let users to play/test out patches (via a beta before public release). You don't have to play it; simply wait for the full release. If you don't like it - you better stop playing video games; because beta patches have been around for a decade now at least.

    "Simply wait for full release".

    Okay I wi...oh wait.

You're not even fun to argue with because nothing is getting through to you clearly.

I thought I should edit this to try spell it out a little easier for you.

This game (Bannerlord), is already fully released.

Hence, the reason for the argument.

The reason people are mad, is because the game has been in the public's hands for years now, and we are still only halfway to what the full game should be. Remember this game has been in development for over a decade, and they're just added snow particles to the game.
  13. Is This Game Dead?

No I'm simply pointing out that it is very common for companies to have patch betas. Stellaris has patch betas and that game has about a dozen DLC...

TW don't need to change the name because it isn't misleading. I am just trying to explain that beta patches post game release is very normal.
Amazing. You stay standing over there arguing about that and defending publishers for releasing broken games at full price while you stick your fingers in your ears calling it normal.

"And that game has a dozen DLC". Read that again and with the context of the argument and then think.

There will come a time we will pay for a "full release" movie in the theatre, only for it to contain placeholder actors and all filmed in with scripts in hand in the back of a shed because of people like you who say "well it's very normal" while clapping the back of your hands together, eagerly waiting for the "full, full release" in an indefinite period of time.
  14. Is This Game Dead?

They aren't 'beta patches' they are beta's for the patches. It is quite common for companies to allow users to access upcoming patches prior to them being fully ready / balanced yet. Paradox & Creative Assembly have both done exactly the same.

Okay I'll message TW tell them to change the titles to "beta for patch x.x" rather than "beta patch x.x" , or will you do it? You missed the point entirely and have reverted to arguing semantics.
  15. Is This Game Dead?

The game doesn't look dead to me. I regularly play clan vs clan battles on multiplayer. It's a singeplayer game mostly. Constantly updated for what? 3 years roughly? They just released a decent patch very recently. Useless post I agree.
You answered your own question. Its still being updated after 3 years. Its been fully released for some time now and they still haven't finished adding the full release features. Instead they moved the goal post and put the full release features (like the bloody weather) into a "post- release" post just so they could point to that post if someone asked a question to shut them up. We should be in DLC territory now, not fking around with dozens and dozens of bugs and crash fixes.

The progress is so slow it might as well be dead. The clue is when you are releasing beta patches after the game have been "fully released" for over a year.
  16. ***Community Feedback ROADMAP - What Taleworlds still needs to fix!***

Its the in game text is set to bold. Which i never ask for but i noticed immediately because my eye sights not to good. But now i can read everything easy. Thanks to people who asked for it and thanks to TW for adding it.
Well consider my foot in my mouth. I took "bold" as "daring". Apologies and glad you're able to experience the game better.
  17. ***Community Feedback ROADMAP - What Taleworlds still needs to fix!***

I can't believe they finally listened to players about the bold stuff. Who pushed those on the dev end?
Not sure what you mean by bold stuff? Although I'm glad to see these things in the latest patch, it is stuff I expected to be in the full game. It's a copy paste of warband with all the new technological advancements and a plethora of available resources since that era so again, I expect it to have these features (and more) and am disappointed it has taken so long to not even fully integrate them such as: sound effects when riding a horse on snow sounds like galloping on concrete.
  18. Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.4

Exactly. This game is in dire need of features that make the world feel fleshed out and real. I'm tempted to reinstall but I know the end game is still a joke and largely empty. This patch makes the journey more enjoyable... but the destination is still "meh, who cares".
That and campaign AI. Even if it was that when an army is created it does a single task then gets disbanded. Army's are still wandering around or standing still becsuse it can't make up it's mind what it's suppose to do.
  19. Patch Notes v1.1.4

Internal test is getting update every 3-4 days now. I think we are really close to 1.2.
Giving me the same energy of:

    "Naval combat when?" bros.

Dissatisfaction, Disappointment and Deliriousness - Total Wasters moto
  20. Patch Notes v1.1.4

While I think its possible that there could be hotfix(es), he probably said it to cover his bases. 1.2 has been in the testing phase for at least a couple of weeks now according to dejan.
Maybe. But the only information we have is from Duh which is that there may be more than one Hotfix before 1.2. Covering his bases or not, that's the only information we have been given on a possible release "date" other than 1.2. is in testing phase. I would have expected 1.2 to be in testing phase last year as it is content that should have been in the game on release. We're deciphering breadcrumbs.
