Does anyone think that Vlandia is way too fancy in the game?

I'd definitely like to see them more based on 11th century Normans than 13th-14th century generic Western Europe. Swadia and Rhodoks were also out of place though, with their 15th century gear. I think Vlandia would fit better in Warband.
These were exactly my thoughts, but I highly doubt that the devs are going to change something about it. Maybe mods in the future

Shouldnt Settlement Icons be incorporated into the core game?

Yeah, if you need it, OP, then just get that mod. To me it just breaks immersion and simplifies the game, as Badcritter said.

    Good job TaleWorlds

Where exactly developers wrote that they will release new patch every week?

The beta branch will include content that has gone through our internal testing and will be exposed to public testers for at least one week. During this period, we will address discovered issues with hotfixes. Our goal is a weekly cycle where we push our internal version to the beta and the prior beta version to the main Steam build. However, if serious challenges arise, we may delay an update until those issues have been addressed.

I think most people relate to this. They said that each beta version is going to be there with us for AT LEAST one week.

    Edit: Here's the link.

    Good job TaleWorlds

Over 150 hours already. I wish we could make this thread filled with positive reviews contrary to the rant that has recently flooded the forums. I think it's due to the high popularity that this game has attained in such a state. Sure it needs to be improved but TaleWorlds has always been a studio that tries to do stuff by trial and error. Afterall, there's no other game like this and they have to create it from scratch. Good luck guys!

    Lord's Changed (secretly)

Mongoloid features you mean? Khuzaits aren't based on the Mongols. Stop spreading this ****.

Thank you for that. Khuzaits are indeed not only Mongols, but all the people of the steppe. She might just aswell look completely european, to say it simple. Check out Cumans/Polovtsy for example.

    Lord's Changed (secretly)

Appropriate? You can't be serious, she barely has the Mongoluan features, which Khuzaits were based on...

She's not perfect, but to me it's for sure better than it used to be. I checked it myself and in my older game ( Started on 1.3.0 beta before hotfix ) she looks like on the first picture OP posted and in a new game I started right now just to check that she looks like this.

    Lord's Changed (secretly)

Actually I like the new one more. She looks more appriopriate. And maybe it is possible, that she's lost her initial armour in some battle and bought the one you see her with? Or maybe there's some space for randomization when they spawn? I am not sure if she's one of the main clan members, but maybe she's randomly generated just as wanderers are?

    Early Access = Exhausting Alpha

Odd wording while quoting me but I think you're talking to me and not about me right xD
Yeah it'll happen eventually, not all of em though.
Yeah I am just answering to you, not talking about you

    Early Access = Exhausting Alpha

WHAT THE DEVELOPERS HAVE TO SAY:
    Why Early Access?
“Early access is something that we are very familiar with: our first title, Mount & Blade, helped to pioneer this method of release back in 2005. By working alongside our community we were able to deliver a unique gaming experience that players still enjoy to this day. These past experiences have taught us that it is vital to bring players in to help us iron out any issues and refine the game by utilizing feedback to bring it to the level that both our community and we expect.

We are hoping to run a productive and efficient early access for M&B Bannerlord as well. However, due to the nature and scale of game that we have envisioned, there may be various problems or missing features and content during the course of early access. Here are a few aspects you may need to know:

Unique Maps for Towns, Castles and Village: Although we plan to create unique maps for every town and castle in the game, it is a rather arduous process to create that many well designed maps and as such, different locations may share the same map during early access.

Quest Content: A portion of planned quests may be missing entirely, and those in the game may be using placeholder maps, animations, etc.

Balancing: Various aspects of the game may be poorly balanced. Parts of the game may be too easy or too hard.

Voice overs: Since the game uses a lot of dynamic text and hundreds of NPCs, we are planning to record voice-overs for only a limited subset of the dialog (greetings, companion introductions and main quest). Some of these planned voice overs may be missing or using placeholder versions during EA.

Savegames: We will strive to keep savegame compatibility during EA, however it may be technically infeasible to provide 100% backward compatibility in savegames and you may occasionally have to start a new game after updating to a new version.

Bugs and glitches: Although we strive to create a stable game experience, the game will be actively developed during early access and hence there will be a greater chance of bugs and glitches creeping up. It will of course be a priority to fix these.

Localization: Our current plan is to localize the game into the following languages: French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Latin American) and Turkish. Other languages may be added later. During EA, localizations for these languages may be missing entirely or may be incomplete.

Multiplayer modes and features: The game currently supports several popular multiplayer modes, but we are planning to add more modes and features, possibly including ranked matchmaking.

Singleplayer Features: Several planned single player features may be missing or incomplete. These include but are not limited to: full game controller support, some skill and perk effects, crafting, some aspects of sieges, and clan, army and kingdom management.

Developing M&B Bannerlord has been, and continues to be a fabulous experience for us, and we are excited to be walking the final phase of this journey together with our players. Of course, you may prefer to wait a little bit longer and hold off until the final, finished product. In this case, please consider adding the game to your wishlist and you’ll receive an email when we release the full version.”

It isn't a screenshot but will this suffice lol? Copy/Paste straight from the steam page.

I think most people were in such a hurry to buy it that they didn't even bother reading the full details.

I guess we will just have to live with this kind of people due to a high popularity of the game in it's current state. They will either drop out of the community or stay here long enough to see the game finished. Their presence is quite annoying though. I can't believe how disrespectfu, impatient and lacking ability to read with understanding some people are.

Sturigans is more weak after update?

As far as AI battling each other go, "simulated" battles consider unit levels and whether units are mounted (a flat multiplier to level based strength of the unit card). Thus factions with a lot of cav and nobles get advantage in AI wars. Let's look at party templates.
Empire: 63 men total, 7 cav, 7 nobles
Sturgia: 53 men total, 3 cav, 0 nobles
Aserai: 50 men total, 5 cav, 0 nobles
Vlandia: 54 men total, 16 cav, 10 nobles
Battania: 53 men total, 12 cav, 7 nobles
Khuzait: 57 men total, 19 cav, 0 nobles
I feel like there are indeed some factions here that have unfair advantage but I'm not sure if Sturgia is one of them.

Now let's do players. There is an obvious hole in Sturgian troop tree, their top tier archers have low tier bows and arrows and mid tier medium armor. They aren't comparable in any way to tier 5 ranged units of any other faction. Are there some other units in the Sturgian troop tree that justify their ranged being trash? Druzhinniks are basically Vlandian knights but slightly worse due to some questionable equipment pieces and are a pain to upgrade because they only get a horse at tier 4. Veteran warriors are good but hardly better than legionaries and sergeants. That leaves us with shock infantry and skirmish cavalry. I really doubt those are great enough to pull Sturgia up by its bootstraps.

Obviously, as a player in all your wisdom, you can lure the AI into attacking your shield wall and play as Sturgia in that way. You can also do it with any faction. In fact, every faction will be better at it than Sturgia, even Khuzaits on foot. Their ranged units will just slaughter half the enemy army by the time they get to melee. Empire and Battania won't even need a shiled wall, they can spam archers and win every time.

Sturgians get -20% to snow penalty, not + 20% to movement in snow. If the the penalty itself is 20% then the effective bonus is +5%. Is the penalty itself even implemented by the way? Meanwhile Vlandians upgrade their already bs knight armies 20% faster and Khuzaits get +10% to movement bonus from cav everywhere on the map. I certainly hope that these traits don't work for AI parties because it would just exacerbate the issue if they do.
    Yeah, nailed it. +1

    Infantry and Cavalry interaction

Huge +1 to this topic. It is not only annoying gameplay-wise but also prevents immersion as cavalry waves go back and forth through the ranks of infantry without much collision. Also, AI soldiers tend to miss a lot. Both cavalry and infantry.

southern empire has taken over the entire world

Wait, what is this Sally Out bug in 1.3.0? Now I al also scared to start my old campaign on this patch.

AI lords declare war on multiple fronts.

I think it's quite normal for the current state of the game. AI lords need to prioritize defending cities even more and they need to further empower the garrisons of cities.
  15. Sylvanaz

Suggestion. Make training grounds the new main source of training, especially for recruits. Add recruiters and patrols in the game.

Yes, frankly saying, without 20+ mods I' having, including these, I wouldn't even think about starting a new campaign.
Could you tell me please which ones are you using? I would also like to try a new campaign with mods but I have never played with them before. I am always a bit hesitant to use them. It always makes me wonder whether it will make the game unbalanced or be played in a way it is not meant to by developers. I know it might sound stupid but I just have to break my inner barrier...

    Sturgia Terrain Needs Rework

I agree. This is a part of a problem. Sturgia needs a serious rework, not just the terrain. I am trying to play as Sturgian vassal and it is nearly impossible to achieve anything of notion. The day is around 1100 and we are just walking in circles fighting for the same cities and castles over and over again, from one end of the map to another. Also, lord spawning instantly with armies of recruits is bull****. I am really tired of slaughtering thousands of recruits only to have this very same lord come back to me in a matter of days. Breaks the balance of war and takes the sence away from battles. It makes me feel like I have really very small impact over the game.

Lack of diplomacy makes the game dead after mid-game

I completely agree with you (except the part about persuading enemy lords)
Lack of diplomacy is ruining end game and makes the game pretty meaningless at this point.
I believe that since its in an EA state , Taleworlds will surely implement many diplomatic aspects but i dont really expect huge advancements.
At the otherside, modding community will work miracles and if i can make a prediction , in less than 1 month we will have some great mods toward this direction.

Regarding your suggestions , i countersign them:
-Trading rights trading agreements is a must!
    -Alliances
-Peace treaties that really last so economies can recover

One of my favorite games ever is Knights of Honor.
I think that if M&B had the strategy options of KoH and the RPG/3rd Person that Bannerlord currently has, it would have been incredible,
Thanks for your answer and opinion  Yes, KoH is an incredible game and I've seen KoH2 announcement some months ago. Regarding persuading lords, perhaps this will feel better when barter modifiers will get fixed and perhaps they will make all the factors somewhat more clear... For now it seems stuck at certain percentage no matter what and I have had lords change their sides again just a few weeks after I persuaded them to join us. Also, it feels kinda OP for them to defect with all their fiefs.

Lack of diplomacy makes the game dead after mid-game

Just as I have stated in the topic, I think that apart of the economy getting completely wrecked in later parts of the game ( let's say day 700+) another issue is the complete lack of any diplomatic actions that could be undertaken by player and/or kingdoms. I have seen this being already...

Sturgian armor pieces are still missing

i have managed to find these items in previous runthoughs
    -Sturgian lord helmet
    -Decorated Northern Hauberk
    -Leather and Iron Plate Armor

but the other stuff you listed I have not found at all anywhere in sturgia

Thank you, at least it is confirmed to spawn. Do you, by any chance, remember where did you find it? I suppose it's been Varnovapol?
