Now is not a good time, Sweetheart.

Wow. The things we do to play Bannerlord. Thanks, guiskj.

Now is not a good time, Sweetheart.

Curious about my character's wife. Her relation to my character is -1 and so I thought I'd try and bring that up into the positive. In my settlement I have asked her numerous times if she was interested in playing a game of puluc and her reply every time is "Now is not a good time, Burged." Yeah...

Crafting Your Own Bow, Crossbow & Arrow

Would totally like to see this. We could have different versions matching Turkish, Mongol, Chinese et al recurves, as well as western types like Welsh longbow and such.

How will they fix Sturgia getting completely eliminated in one year, and Khuzait and Vlandia taking half the map in 3 years?

Actually, before great mongol invasion early Russian factions successfully fought steppe tribes. Also, Rus was never completely conquered even by mongols. So yeah, shieldwalls and melee combat is pretty effective outside of steppes, where is cavalry have overthelming advantage.

Russian Principalities were under Golden Horde rule during time of Tatar Yoke, a 200 year period. Down south by Kiev Slavic rule was mostly replaced by Mongol.

    Patch Notes e1.4.0

Actually am playing Bannerlord again, but w/o any mods. As of e1.4.0 this has been the longest I've played without a crash. I guess it would be a no-brainer for an early access game to not do so well with mods at this juncture.

Particularly buggy patch this one. Numerous crashes. Will hold on playing until the next patch.

Um..the so called "Road Map" doesn't actually mention any new content....

There are definite improvements from Warband in Bannerlord. I'm not sure having a village as a fief was all that enjoyable in Warband. It was constantly getting trashed in raids which left any efforts on improving said village a losing proposition most times. The mechanics in Bannerlord in terms of managing castles and towns seem much more fluid and meaningful. Less fiefs than in Warband with its plethora of villages to lord over? Sure, but at least this way you have something with some resiliency.

I also don't mind the idea of looking to the community for expansion. Taleworlds has had a large degree of success in this regard. Think of it as crowd sourcing for interesting content. It sure beats a studio with its limited resources. Here we have a very talented and experienced global mod community ready for the green light. I'm sure many modders are already at work with their designs as Bannerlord is put to its paces. Parallel mod development is so much better than sequential too, and a large global mod community makes that possible.

Statement regarding Plans for Singleplayer and Engine

I remember when Mount & Blade was coming out back in 2005 and this is how it was like. You bought into the game then played and offered criticism as it developed. The game evolved until it went gold. The cool thing was it was a blast to play throughout that entire development period, things expanding and morphing as the playerbase interacted with the developers. Sure it made modding a little hard at times with all the changes but the game was so much fun at the core that it was okay. Once it went gold the the lid was off and modding went thru the roof. It's all gravy, man. Enjoy it as a whole.

Thanks for putting out Bannerlord, guys. What a fantastic follow-up. Love it. The framework is going to launch some amazing opportunities for modding. Sky's the limit.

    Resolved Black boxes around units.

Started seeing this sort of bug as well. Started happening a day or two ago. I usually see this bug during tournament bouts.

    My system is basically:
    i5 9400F cpu
    Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080
    32Gb DDR
    OS is Win10

Suggestion: Kingdom Decision - Desperate Measures

I haven't had the opportunity to play Bannerlord that much myself as my current gaming rig is having severe issues. While I wait for a new rig to be built my time has been spent watching ReformistTM's YouTube series on the exploits of Barney Beartilde in Bannerlord. Currently, in ReformistTM's...

    Mounted horsearcher envelopement - Crescent

I can't seem to find it by itself but in some mods (Medieval Conquests, PNB and PoP) there's a horse archer AI that circles around and shoots at enemies already if that's what you mean. that being said it does make horse archers quite powerful.

Interesting. Thanks for pointing that out!

    Mounted horsearcher envelopement - Crescent

I have a question about a type of formation Mongols tended to use that originates with their hunting technique of encirclement. Would it be possible(not hard-coded) to create a formation that would make some assumptions based on the concept of encirclement and non-melee? It's not that I'm trying...

    Eating food in taverns

    Looter 说:
The most I would like to see if at all is a slider to set your troops rations and checkboxes to allow/disallow certain food types if you want to trade some of them. In game, I would only think it as possible npc animations rather than something the player does.

    A good idea for sure.

    Eating food in taverns

Chiming in here because I like the eating mechanic in KCD. If Bannerlord continues with the large stock of supplies in the inventory though, adding a 'bite to eat' seems odd other than for very specific RPG reasons. When you can kill a boar that can feed a band of adventurers for weeks worrying about having oatmeal at the favorite tavern seems redundant.

Maybe have two sets of 'feeding' mechanics, one for the character and one for the masses? Possibly TW could leave it open for modding by not hard-coding the functionality of eating for the main character.

    Riding no, horsemanship, yes.

In Mongolia, it's considered very bad luck to mount/dismount a horse from the right

Skirmisher orders, like 'F2' but for mounted?

Changing the AI code for mounted skirmishers would be nice, but I can live with it as is.  It just means being more aware when one of those guys takes it upon themselves to harass the enemy.  When they do, and I'm riding around, I just try to time my charges when they're retreating.  I mean, if I was really riding on horseback with a bunch of horse archers, you can guarantee I'd be looking to see who was shooting

It would be nice to at least build up a force of horse archers and be able to have some more selectivity with them.  I realize such soldiers aren't available in the native game, but all that takes to change personally is Python, the Module Development System, module_troops.py.  In fact, I'm thinking of adding bows/arrows as an itm_ for Vaegir horseman & knights.

In a game like Last Days, being able to control mounted skirmishers would be very helpful for Rohirrim, Easterlings, Wargs, and Harad.

Basically, if a mounted player has any sort of missile weapon, give a separate 'F' key to order to follow, stay, or charge.

    Simple, yet helpful, no?

And as for comments about wimps, the Turks and Mongols were anything but that, my friend

Skirmisher orders, like 'F2' but for mounted?

I realize that players have been suggesting various order/command schemes of varying degree.  The one order that seems as simple as it is helpful is an order addressed to mounted skirmishers.  There is already one for foot archers, F2, so why not one for mounted archers/javelineers--F5 (make F6...
