  1. Why not add penalty to TAB - retreat tactics

If you don't like it, then don't use it, unless the idea that others might exploit the tab/retreat to gain unfair advantages really agitates you. To me, i only use it when the the battle is spawned on a really ****ty map.
  2. Resolved Why do villagers want to go to my castle to become garrison

EDIT: and you have post this in the wrong place I think

EDIT 2: And I think this is a normal thing you ask... because do you see people joining the army of their country in real life?? YES
I thought this is a potential bug so i posted here, if i get confirmation that this is how the game is supposed to behave then i'll remove this thread.
  3. Resolved Why do villagers want to go to my castle to become garrison

The castles are supplied by the surrounding villages. Do they disappear in your castle after that? Do the garrison numbers rise up accordingly?
They become garrison troops, i was able to find hundreds of peasants in the castle, and the number rise up accordingly. That's just so weird that i can't think of any other reasons but a potential bug.
  4. Resolved Why do villagers want to go to my castle to become garrison

Some mods can modify stuff without knowing it, mods are made by random people and the game is in development so it can create corruption anywhere. So I suggest you to just don't use mods right now the game is in Early access. If you are already bored with the game I suggest you come back in 3 or 6 months to it.
The only mods im using are diplomacy reworked and developer console which i just added recently. Before i wasn't using mods at all and this problem still showed up.
  5. Resolved Why do villagers want to go to my castle to become garrison

OMG how can you even play this game with all those town tagged  your game is a mess.. and your screenshot doesn't show WTF you are even talking about.. If you want some answer you should learn how to properly ask something on the forum and if you are using mods, we can't help because you have modify the game.
I already said above, im not using any mods that affect the villagers' behavior. The screenshot actually does show the problem: the villagers are travelling to the nearest CASTLE instead of BACK TO THEIR OWN VILLAGE.
  6. Resolved Why do villagers want to go to my castle to become garrison

im not using any mods that affect the behavior of villagers. The travelling destination is Rhesos castle, is this bug or intended?
  7. Please do not pursue the balance of the current game version too much.

This is the second post i've seen today from Chinese players making earnest suggestions to the developers, and there's 0 disagreement in the replies so far. Really hope devs are reading these valueable feedbacks.
  8. Early Access = Exhausting Alpha

Not to mention if you get loots from battles, it also breaks the trading experience since the game considers you "purchased" your loots at a very high price.
  9. Why, exactly, do Bandits train into aristocrats?

Look at how accurate mountain bandits throw javelins, good lord they gotta be the champions at Olympics, so why can't they?
  10. This is some opinions from Chinese players. My English is poor, so I use the translation function.

I think they are generally confused on which direction to take and so caught up on pushing out "patches" regularly every week they don't even consider their options or the consequences of the changes they implement. And also I've not seen the devs publish their approximate plans for the upcoming patches either. Is it too difficult just to sit down with your employees and have a talk on where they're going or more long-term goals? Is it too difficult to open a thread on the forums to create discussion and debate on a certain topic or a change they're thinking to implement?

I'll say it again: Developers not sharing their aims with the community creates uncertainty, and uncertainty leads to pessimism and discomfort. The last two beta changes have been so disappointing for me I'm starting to doubt whether they're even thinking twice or play-testing their changes before throwing it into the game and releasing. Some are so illogical or out of place and time it's worrying.
Pretty much all the suggestion discussions include the phrase "They're probably working on it", "Pretty sure they're working on it" and so and so on. Leaving the community to guess and uncertain is a massive communication mistake. However many developers they have, 40-100, whatever. With so small a group I don't understand how they turned this into a corporate mess.
I think they have around 70 employees in total, including accounting, salesman and such, so the real number of programmers is around 40-50ish perhaps. My guess is since it's impossible to satisfy every one with each patch, most dissastisfied group cried out and complained about even some reasonable changes while the majority of players just sit tight and enjoy the game. This leads to a vicious cycle that's causing the developers to become so misguided now.
  11. Using "AI lords free units" to prevent snowball Is a bad idea

They never said that AI will get elites for free. Only that they will take more time training before going to fight. Also AI after defeat respawns in a city and takes men from garrison. Checked it a few times and actually garrison is smaller by the number the lord have in their party after defeat (another thing that AI garrison builds themselves without lord visiting).
They do in fact, i saw a lord spawned with 3 elite cataphracts.

They nerfed Fian champion's weapen ,I don't think it's smart. Why can't a noble unit use a noble bow?
I think the right way to improve is not to weaken the ability of these aristocratic units, but to make them more expensive or scarce, so that their number matches their status. They are expensive, so they should have the highest level of battlefield dominance, rather than make them ordinary or even weak.
TW doesn't seem to know what players really need
Yes im aware of that, i guess Mamluke, the only unit that has a noble bow will be their next target. lmao
  13. This is some opinions from Chinese players. My English is poor, so I use the translation function.

Seems like taleworlds's management is completely messed up, apparently they don't even know by each "balancing", they are really killing the fun out of this game. By that i don't mean we shouldn't fix bugs like the woods workshop making ridiculous amount of profit. The general trend of each patch has tended to prolonged the early-mid game stage by cutting ways that playes can make easy money, yet providing no real meaningful way to spend gold in the late game, which only makes the beginning stage ever more tedious.

In terms of balancing units, have we really cried about noble troops being too OP? Please tell me what's the point of upgrading Khan's guard to lvl 6 after nerfing his bow while it has weaker armor and fewer arrows than its previous tier? and 200 twohanded skill level Fian champion but having a single handed weapon???

Taleworld really should get their heads straight and starting implementing perks and features such as diplomacy instead of wasting time on these pointless balance because functionality always comes first. Worry about these unit stats later when the game has really become mature.
  14. Need More Info Villagers go to castle instead of back to their own village

Has anyone noticed that after sometime when village gets really prosperous, its villagers would go to the nearest castle to become troops instead of back to their own village? Is this bug or intended?
