    This was the case in real life, too. However, in reality, they were not "levy soldiers" as with Khuzait horse archers, but rather people who had trained specifically for horse archery their entire lives, and were irreplaceable once lost. This is somewhat difficult to simulate in a video game.

    Yeah, this is a bug and will probably be fixed pretty quickly. The fact that only three factions seem to get *any* high-tier equipment is a glaring issue.

    +1. Assuming we will be able to control our characters' children after they retire or die, I'd probably never turn this mechanic off, but I'm always for more options.
  6. Spearwall formation

    I think, more than single formations, we need more control over our formations. Things as simple as moving closer/farther apart in Warband did wonders for our ability to adapt on the battlefield. Many times I've felt that my unit would benefit from being just a single line, or have a few more ranks to bear a cavalry charge.
