  1. Kingdom Army Management

Right now i am with the Aserai. Just had wars in the east. Both Vlandia and western empire make war. Armies form in the east for the long walk to the west. Yeah i am just a mercenary. If i was king those clans leading the armies would be kicked out.
Yeah, it's just stupid, I'd like more methods to control who leads these armies, it makes no sense for someone on the other side of the map to create an army to go over the other side of the map. The annoying thing is that the parties that are already nearby to a town being besieged will prioritize joining an army even if it's ages away. This results in a situation where you've got what little presence nearby the town that's being sieged leaving the area to group up with the army and then due to the low presence, more enemy parties end up being able to reinforce the army and it grows even further.

Further to this suggestion, I'd love for there to be a method for the player to control AI from a further distance, if this suggestion is brought in, even using a mod to communicate with AI lords from far away would become really useful because you'd be able to control your own kingdom and fight wars on multiple fronts easier while not feeling like you're completely alone in your fight.
  2. Kingdom Army Management

+1 in warband is available an option called "may i suggest a course of action"
using your charm skill to get other lords to do stuff would be great!
Yeah, using charm would be a good idea. This could even be tied into the negotiation side of things, you may need to bribe lords with certain personality types (such as calculative) to carry out your suggestions. Negotiation is very bland at the moment seeing as it's really not too useful and I rarely find myself using the feature.
  3. Kingdom Army Management

Three armies chasing after a single small party while a castle is besieged nearby.
  4. Player as a claimant

I haven't personally done this before, but I'm fairly certain you can already do this. Once you're a vassal for a kingdom, you can join factions within the realm. They're made up of all the clans of the realm, and within this faction screen you're able to create a succession faction, and if your faction wins, you are able to impose yourself (or potentially another clan) to lead the kingdom. You can persuade other clans in your kingdom to join/leave a faction and anyone that opposes the faction (from my understanding) will result in a civil war with the succession faction.
  5. Give player ruling options in kingdoms

Yeah, unfortunately, Bannerlord has such a monotonous reliance upon the player to siege every single castle/town themselves, because even if the AI does siege down a town/castle, they end up losing it ten minutes later. I made a suggestion based on something I remembered from Warband, and, if added, I believe it could help out a lot, not only with this, but would breathe in a lot of life to the entirety of Kingdom Management. The forum thread can be found by clicking here. I'd love to hear any opinions.
  6. Old Guard; "Game Left Unplayable"

I agree with this, I'd like to segment my different forces. I hate giving my companions horses but because they have a javelin, for some reason, they're added to my archer formation, and end up having a horseman in the middle of my archers which results in a bunch of my archers not being able to fire. I then proceed to remove the horse from the companion, but instead of being put into infantry (he has a sword, shield, and two javelins) because he has javelins, he's put back into the archer formation, and not the Infantry formation so he's basically useless?

I'd love to be able to make my own formations such as Warband. Being able to differentiate yourself between sword-shield infantry, spearmen, archers, skirmishers, horse archers, and cavalry etc would be great.
  7. Controlling Armies

I agree with this idea, I feel like armies are useless. I've just created a suggestion myself about a nice idea we saw in Warband which would be great to bring over to Bannerlord. I went a bit into it, if you'd like to have a read and maybe provide any feedback, that'd be appreciated! The suggestion can be found by clicking here.
  8. Kingdom Army Management

At the moment, I really feel like armies are missing something, they/the AI just feel like they're constantly making bad ideas. As an example, on my new campaign, we (Battania) own Varcheg and have recently lost Flintolg Castle to the Sturgians and there are currently two Battanian armies up and...
  9. Resolved Pitch Black Nights, Glitched Day and Night Cycle

Update on this; this seems to be mostly fixed since the most recent hotfix for e1.5.2, for me, it still occurs for a couple seconds after exiting some locations such as towns, it's nowhere near as intrusive.
  10. My thoughts on the campaign economy.

I had three workshops of 200-250 each and made sure I had nothing but mounted troops so I could hunt down lord parties or use quests to supplement my daily income.

Also disbanding most of my party during peacetime.

I'm pretty certain the workshop limit is set to 2. Yes, you can get 200-250 per workshop but it's really likely they only bring in 100 denars or lower per day, that's hardly enough for 10 high-level troops. If you have hundreds of troops, you'd basically be spending money faster than you make it, else you'd fall into debt. Additionally, who wants to do quests constantly the entire campaign? People want to create their own kingdom and actually get stuff done outside of completing the same five or six quests dozens of times a day.
  11. My thoughts on the campaign economy.

Hello, I've been playing Bannerlord since the game was released, and really, I've been trying to be patient. I'm honestly really loving this game and I do support TaleWorlds but something needs to happen but I diverse. Back when the game released in Early Access in March, there was no limit on...
  12. So now i understand why Khuzaits are so powerful

There are a few reasons as to why I love the Khuzaits, first let me just say, when the game first released the Khuzaits troop tree was broken because you didn't need horses to upgrade your troops, you just had to pay the regular upgrade fee that you pay for each troop currently. This basically meant that you were EASILY able to get hundreds of cavalry up in no time so long as you had a decent income (which was easy because workshops were broken too) and you had an adequate party size.

I remember playing Khuzaits with 500 odd cavalry in my party, mate, they're powerful, especially when put up against infantry like the Sturgians, Empire, hell, even the Vlandian's Crossbowmen didn't stand a chance at that point. They just decimated everything in their paths. Even if they didn't take the enemy out in their first few passes, the horse archers were there to slowly finish the job.
  13. SP Other Interesting Locations (RECRUITING)

Bannerlord is a lovely game, full of amazing landscapes, light, and scenery, this all adds up to great potential. I would definitely love to see a realistic medieval/dark age era castle atop of a beautiful mountain or a homey village deep inside of dense forests with light peaking through the trees. I digress, I'm looking forward to seeing what this mod has in store, good luck!
  14. MP Native Kingdoms [Persistent Kingdoms Successor]

I used to play Persistent Worlds I'd say around 6 odd years ago, I don't remember exactly how to play, I just remember having a grand experience on it. I don't recall ever doing anything else outside of cutting trees or something like that, mundane stuff. Though, I'm definitely going to have to take a closer look at Persistent Kingdoms, either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you & your team can bring to Bannerlord, I can't wait.

    Good Luck!
  15. SP B Serf of Balion

So, I put this thread on watched while I checked out Lords of Calradia, at first, I was pretty lost, I didn't really understand that both Peasants and Levies were both pulled out from fiefs but after receiving my first village, it became much more clear. It's much more about resource acquisition and I feel, to some extent, it's more roleplaying. I really enjoyed the side missions that you found when walking around different villages/castles/towns, it added much more depth.

I reckon you did a great job on Lords of Calradia, I do believe that Serf of Balion could be even better if given the time. Bannerlord runs on a much more open engine and I believe that mod creators will be able to explore different paths, I just can't wait to see what Serf of Balion can bring, I've really been looking forward to something like this!
  16. Resolved Pitch Black Nights, Glitched Day and Night Cycle

I'm not too sure if this is related to the above post, though it is a graphical glitch so I'll post it as I assume it is related.
Was just fighting a couple of looters, shot my horse in the face at point-blank with my bow and the following happened as soon as the arrow hit it, not sure how relevant that is.
  17. Is Sturgia rigged to lose?

I haven't played in a while; the troops for the Sturgians used to be crazily underpowered in comparison to the overpowered Empire and Khuzait troops. I'm really not too sure if that problem was solved but I do recall that being pretty annoying at the time.
  18. SP Antiquity Burning Empires

This looks promising, I really enjoy historical mods, from the couple of assets that I'm looking at right now, I can see that you are/have some amazing people in the graphics team.
Do you have any sort of method to showcase development when you make progress? I'd love to see some further assets or potentially functioning features once the modding tools are released.
Good luck with this, I'll mark this as watched and check in on development for sure.
  19. SP Dark Ages The Sword And The Axe

    Anthony Stevens
Hey! Thank you very much for your feedback and I'm really glad you like the mod. This is the only way to make a mod better, in my opinion, with collective effort and reports, so thanks!

About the Troop Tree presentation, well, it's not a big deal to add it, the only reason I haven't is that I basically like immersion very much. For some reason, I find that checking a spreadsheet would ruin the atmosphere a bit.

About the bandit tracking quest, that's a Native thing. I've not edited the Native quests in any way; in the coming version there are a couple added ones, mostly in the vein of the old RPG games (no map waypoints, you need to listen to rumours, NPC conversation and figure it out), but the Native quests remain unchanged.

I'll check the chatlog, haven't really seen anything like it, but certainly, I will look. Your screenshot helps a lot, thanks, it will give me a starting point!

I'm really liking the sound of the idea of listening to rumours in order to find certain quests, the only thing I could say against that is that I hope you'd use quests that don't have the targets walking off to a place far away, my pet peeve on Warband is getting a quest to deliver a message to a lord, only to get over to the location he was last known to be at, only to figure out that you need to walk all the way back again because he went spelunkin'.
  20. Discord's Rich Presence

I would definitely support Discord Rich Presence, doubt we'd get it though. It'd be great to be able to see what everyone's doing. I wonder if mods could implement it into Warband, I can definitely see it being implemented by mods into Bannerlord.

A quick off-topic though; I wonder if anyone in this thread still uses TeamSpeak anymore, discord's well better than it now. As we all know, mods/bots improve the experience.
