    I get that you're trying to make fun of me, but would you rather walk around in a ghost town of a map, unable to get a feel of the game's balance changes due to a complete lack of a testbed to utilize said changes on?

    Bot matches aren't the best thing to test balance changes on, but it's much better than nothing.
    It really doesn't matter because Taleworlds doesn't listen to feedback.

    Ballistas in siege are a plight on everyone, though mainly attackers. I'll often play as attackers and the majority of my deaths are from ballistas. It's not like there's any way to counter them since they'll destroy any shield and kill you in one hit through it. Archers can counter them...

    The reasoning for no multiplayer is baffling shallow in this thread. You'd expect the little brain cells from these individuals to look around the gaming industry and see there are plenty of singleplayer experiences that have a great multiplayer experience.

    You're bowing down to weak development of the devs, not of the idea itself of a good multiplayer.

    There was a time this wasn't even a discussion because everyone knows the game had a potential. You're just now coming out with this "it's a singleplayer game so we shouldn't have expected good things" because you saw the final failed result.
    With development being so slow what are people meant to do. The mp barely gets anything even though there's tons of potential. Taleworlds should probably hand the mp over to a player assembly made of the BRE, CC etc. I know the CC people for instance are very balance focused and do a better job than Taleworlds much of the time. Of course this would never happen as it is a shot in the dark but it's not without precedent, Blizzard handed starcraft 2 over to high level players for balancing when they no longer wanted to work on it and it generally looks like Taleworlds doesn't want to develop MP.

    I mean, I'd the strongest units go up against the absolute bottom of the barrel of the roster, the people playing the strong units can just turn their brains off and still win. You just want the steamroller to keep rolling nonstop
    Even the strongest unit can only take a few hits from the weakest. The deciding factors of a duel are 50% player skill, 30% class pick and 20% random chance/others getting involved.

    Actual veterans of this game who played hardcore both SP and MP are from 2014. Wtf do you want? Why do you say that noone care about MP as if its some universal truth and not just your sad noobish braindead opinion?! You prolly never played Warband.
    Considering you have a very new account you're probably not the best person to say this. But as a 2017 account which for some reason gives me some credit, yes MP has been a big part of the community for a long time and it was even bigger in Warband the small size today is solely taleworlds messing up bannerlord mp.

    Nope. I play it because Bannerlord's offerings as a multiplayer game are insufferable to the point where "it's the Steam counterpart to an EGS exclusive" isn't a good enough reason to keep playing. Nice to know I'm still the only sane person here. In fact, if I'm perfectly honest, the insanity of BL MP makes the intentional imbalancing in other games look sane in comparison
    Please duel me, I'll prove to you that recruit or the empire isn't terrible. You could also listen to what everyone is saying. Or you could look at the actual stats for things like empire win rate and recruit versus other troops.

    No, he's the hero we need to balance multiplayer and stop the onslaught of the devastating vlandian peasant levy which can destroy entire armies by itself. After that is fixed bannerlord will go on to become the largest multiplayer game ever.

    Without Taleworld supporting the multiplayer, it will die. Without updates and patches people will leave and stop paying attention. Someone could make the best mod in the universe for multiplayer and most players wouldnt know about it, because they either dont look at forums or stop paying attention to the game in general. How many games do you pay attention to once you've stopped playing it?

    People saying mods will save the multiplayer are wrong. It just keeps us alive for a while longer.
    Taleworlds need to do a soft relaunch to actually get people interested again. Because their dev update that contains a reference to adding 1 net helmet to the cosmetic shop that takes 5 hours of grinding on public servers to unlock doesn't entice anyone.

    Outside of events around 1% of all players at any one time play multiplayer (use steamdb and the server browser to check this). Taleworlds may have created this statistic but at this point they have no good reason to fix it.

    Make Siege more authentic. Add engineer and logistic classes that maintain and defend siege equipment as well as the ammo. Ammo carts must be moved from edge of the map to the siege weapons. The maps can be bigger, most of the maps have large utilized parts or areas. Make authentic spawn points where soldiers must pick the gear they want before heading to battle. Cav players spawn on foot and must go to the stables (attacker also has some kind of make-shift stables where they keep all the spare horses). Prox chat, Friendly Fire on. No team picking but auto balance by numbers. No faction voting, make it random or mirror.
    That's persistent empires so play that.

    Backcapping is bad, it's nearly impossible to defend because of the people who go and capture G. Yet when I'm playing as attacker there is so often a flag in front of me that to take would be considered backcapping but what else do I do. It's not cheating or rule breaking but Taleworlds should probably remove it but making further back flags require capping other flags to unlock.
    Let's take Baravenos encirclement. A and F should be open at the start. After capping A, B and E should be opened. After F C. After Capping B C should be opened. After capping C or E D should unlock which once captured unlocks G. That's just an example and retains the attacking in multiple directions and flanking but stops annoying runners that can't be stopped.

    The levy is on par with the peasant in melee assuming sickle and shield. If it takes 5 players to kill one then the 5 players must be terrible and the peasant player excellent. I've found its fairly easy to get kills with both peasants and especially recruits, just throw javelins into melee.
