    Captain mode trolls are always complaining. Captain mode trolls are so toxic that they teamkill you and call you the dreaded n word if you accidentally teamhit them.
    True, they were, 2 people that were on his team started doing the same **** - the last 2 on the team, me and another, told them to play on, report him and ignore him, but as they had just played a match with him teamkilling, they didn't feel like it, which i don't agree with, but understand.
    I'm sure the devs can find the entire chat-transcript from the match :smile:
    maybe the guy had a unlucky time and you just decided to cherry pick this very score, imo it's not heatlhy for this community to do such a stuff, you should be ashamed of yourself.
    I've seen him do this the past few days/more than a week, and just the match before this one, 2 guys in the above match stated he did the exact same.

    Can you PLEASE make sure this guy is banned. He's must have received HUNDREDS of reports the past few days, and ruining A LOT of the few captains matches we get.

    Last night I made the mistake of taking vlandia shock with shields and pike. It was an accidental choosing shields (I wanted improved armour) but the enemy took lots of archers, so I wasn't too upset.. until I tried to form a shield wall... Arg.. they all stood tightly together... with their pikes out.. it was unbelievably frustrating... A fantastic example of why this is needed!

    There is nothing I hate more than ending every game with an endless chase after some archers, especially now when formation (shieldwall) speed is so slow.
    You forgot to add "...at 25% speed cause of the slow-bug"

    I agree with everything you said.

    To the OP:
    You were being chased by light infantry - might've ended differently if chased by Varyag, Oath etc.

  8. Formations in Captain mode in relations to speed

    Shield wall is the best way way I have found to do this, they will push through fighting units and you can get them to effectively push an enemies front line back, or it can be used to push shields who are late to the fight deeper into the lines so they can take up the front position and protect the 2h behind them.

    I'm pretty sure Thiil knows about using shields to take aggro. What he's trying to say is, let captains have more control. A skein formation would be much better at dividing shock inf than just basic shield wall. For now, the best formation to draw aggro and divide enemy forces has been square, because it's small, defencive, and draws a lot of aggro without the units stopping to attack.

    Yes, i do know how shield walls work, but more control to players will make more interesting plays is my point.
    I'd love to be able to do a double-lined Wedge formation, forcing them to raise shields and NOT FIGHT BACK, then push into the vast blob of rabble before calling them to form a square, while still ignoring fighting, making shields and formation last longer - and in the end, hopefully charge the remaining enemies with my friendly shocks.
    With added "Weapon switch", I can even devide if they should use axes or sword - amazing!

    They removed the "matches lost" stat because people quit games to prevent that number going up which is not desired behaviour.
    Punish quitting harder, fixed.
    They don't mind punishing harshly for teamkills and chat, why not include quitting?

    This is where more commands would have a great use.

    "Skein formation" - "Shields up" - "Ignore targets" - "Move" to make your infantry push through enemy lines, clearing way for your shocks.
    Sure, your units would be somewhat tanking/forfeit, but by skein-shield-moving without fighting, buy precious time for teammates to slaughter the ones seperated by the skein with shields or whatever.

    Advanced tactics aren't possible without more captain control like weapon overrides, "equip shield" (regardless of formation) and "Ignore proximity" so they don't get baited cause there's 1 enemy 7 m. away

    I never had a problem playing vs archers in a new patch.
    Randoms like to F1 F3, that's why they suffer.
    Full cav and full archers are the most easiest composition to beat, whether you play with teammates or not.

    Got 1000+ wins in Cpts Mode and almost exclusively play that. I do not share the opinion of the OP.
    Ofc. he has 3 groups of archers shooting him if he allows himself to be baited

    It's being discussed regularly on Captains League discord.

    Having an option to "Paint an area" to "Focus Fire" to launch non-targeted volleys (other than the area) has also been among them

    Edit: And since mr. @Ling* (who runs the discord) is very much a legolas-archerboi, he might be able to list all the suggestions that's been made in terms of archery in Captains Mode
