  1. Female Lords mod

Immersion and verisimilitude. If you don't understand the point of immersion in a game, I'm afraid I can't help you.

Also, I do find your entire argument pretty ridiculous considering the entire game is about grabbing peasants and sending them into the meatgrinder for the power fantasy of a social climber in a highly stratified society. Speak of selective outrage, I invite you to meditate on it before you try to lecture people again.

Yeah immersion is important. That doesn't explain why people have such issues with this fantasy world being slightly less sexist than the real world? Is equality inherently immersion-breaking for you?

You make a good point about class! However, I'm not here trying to make the game /more/ classist, and making it less classist would be a pretty major change to the mechanics and design of the game, whereas the issue of sexism is not inherently tied to the basic game design.
  2. Female Lords mod

Why are people so keen on recreating oppression in fantasy? I just don't understand it. Why would you want to, in your fantasy world, ensure that the same kinds of unfairness are present? I invite you to meditate on this question.
  3. Clan parties

I'm guessing this will be a relatively simple thing to mod anyway, I've basically stopped playing the early access because a lot of the things I want I'm expecting to come via mod tools rather than from the devs, and all the best mods are going to wait until there's a stable release build realistically.
  4. The Bannerlord Banner Poll

Just come across this and want to bump it up and say DEAR GOD YES BETTER BANNERS PLEASE.
  5. We need alliances

I would think even if they've been in a civil war, they may put their differences aside for the empire to hold off the khuzait and then fight each other. It could go all sorts of ways. Foreign enemies tend to unite people.

Also other than alliances I think faction splits could be another way to deal with snowballing factions. I mean warband is essentially the world after bannerlord factions have split. Vlandia splits into butterlords and rhodoks, sturgia splits into the nords and vaegirs. This function could bring back some life to interkingdom relations and fits perfectly into the game lore.

YES, some way for discontented vassals to split off and rebel would be amazing, as would the rival claimants feature from Warband.
  6. Generate Your Own Companions

Let the Encyclopedia do your walking.
This does help, but I have definitely noticed heroes teleporting around the map when trying to find them.
  7. More extensive ways to improve Castle/Villages

MASSIVE +1 on this I love it.
  8. (Please Contribute!) What kind of Mods do you want to see?

Honestly I just want some basic stuff like more detailed mercenary troop trees, better kingdom management, better relationship stuff. I never bother with total reskins, I really like the base game, I just want things to be smoother and more in depth. I only ever really used Diplomacy and Vexed Native in Warband.
  9. Can a mercenary become a lord who can get a fief ???

It may be, that in the future, when the rebellions mechanic will be implemented, they'll be able to try and create their own Kingdoms. But, personally, I'd love to see some lairs of those mercs. Especially Wolfskins.

This would be pretty awesome actually, if there were small castles or whatever for the minor factions.
  10. Governing a fief should be a minigame: What I'd like to see in a finished version

I feel like throne rooms are sometimes the most beautiful places in a city, yet there is 0 reason to visit them.

So there used to be this really cool function in Dragon Age Inquisition where you could sit on your throne, and visitors or generals would come to you with problems, in this case it could be your notabels, or notables from nearby settlements.

Agreed with this, the throne rooms are awesome! Would be great to have more reason to be in those environments. Arguments between clan members, issues being brought to you by notables... all sorts of fun things.
  11. How to gain honour

I believe a lot of the reputation stuff is not yet implemented? I certainly never seem to gain or lose various reputation points for stuff that I can tell.
  12. A different perspective on XP gain.

This is a good point - if there was more content for early levels then the slow levelling wouldn't feel like as much of an issue. If you look at the pace of, say, Total War games, where turn-to-turn actually very little happens in terms of border drift, to Bannerlord where in the space of about ten IRL minutes a big army can take away about half of a kingdom's territory.
  13. Pls give us an option to turn off female generals

Anyone who thinks we need to recreate historical sexism in its entirety is a ****. End of story. If you don't like it, how about you go cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it.
  14. Family Feud & Charm

Agreed, and the "Kidnapped Daughter" and "Army of Poachers" seem to be the same, successfully passing the charm checks doesn't appear to give you any XP.
  15. Fantasy vs. fiction and why it matters.

There's plenty of things in this game that are not plausible at all, yet vital for enjoyment of the game. For example, I am running a caravan and I get the money that it makes instantly added to my finances. How are they sending that gold, wire transfer? If we were to stick to realism I should have to meet with the caravan and get the money from them in person, or they should have to leave it somewhere for me to pick up.

Another point, I remember someone praising the fact that you could not see your weapon when swinging because "that is how it would be in the real world and it makes it realistic". Well, perhaps, but in the real world I would be able to know when my arm is by feeling it (the technical term is proprioception). You obviously can not have that in game. Where is realism taking us then?

I am always concerned when someone brings up realism as the most important feature. It is not, gameplay and enjoyment should always come first. There are limits to how much of the former you can have without butchering the latter.

To be fair, on the money point, they're basically abstracting a truth here which is that barter and credit were effectively common in the medieval period anyway; you would certainly not be paying for everything at the point of purchase. In certain parts of the world letters of credit were common for nobility.
  16. Getting married & starting a family as a female character

I've done it - I think you have to be part of their kingdom though.
  17. How can i makw my kingdom not be able to have female parties/armies?

Also if people want more demographic "realism" in the game then we need to see some gay characters, some trans characters and maybe one or two cultures with third genders like the hijra of India or the muxe of the Zapotec cultures of Oaxaca.
Yup! Let's remember that Dragon Age Inquisition had a canonically trans NPC who talked about it, and you could talk to one of your companions about how they felt about their friend being trans. If Bioware can do it in a major flagship release, no reason why anyone can't.
  18. How can i makw my kingdom not be able to have female parties/armies?

It's really disappointing to see this come up again and again. Apparently some morons just can't deal with women being people. Stop trying to force your sexism into a game.
  19. Who developed the Quest "Family Feud"? So bad

I've had the issue of the dialogue not triggering properly a few times, but aside from that this quest is fine, the main reason I avoid it is because it gives so little gold and the net relationship gain is so low.
  20. Please change bandit fight mechanics

They're mostly fine. Sea Raiders are tough but fair, as they always were. The Forest and Steppe Bandits are difficult because of how the map and spawn points are structured, not because of anything inherent to their statistics. Mountain Bandits are fairly easy as long as you're careful of big groups, and Desert Bandits feel similar to Sea Raiders but a bit less tough to kill, which makes sense.

I do agree that you should be allowed to pick who comes with you, and arrow barrels like there are in sieges would be nice.
