    What kind of new faction(s) would you like to see added to the game in the future?

    Apparently we will have, sooner or later, Darshi ( " Ghaznavids ", with elephants ), Vakken ( " Lithuanians " ? ), and Nords ( " Norse " ).
    These would be great.
    ( Given the whole game works as intended, Vision etc, eventually)

    As a wish - list faction, I would really like to see an " Axumite ( Abyssinian ) " far southern empire, a bit more Dark Ages - fitting here than Middle Ages Mali, as has been suggested above, but either way, a similar presence. It would be especially interesting if " Axum " could foster some special, if tenuous, relationship with the Imperial culture, simulating the remote Christian Kingdom / Prester John thing, re Abyssinia.
    The Vakken are representing Finno-Urgic peoples of Northern Medieval Russia, such as the Chuds.

    ok so I copied everything over to an XSLT and now the mod crashes when attempting a custom battle. What am I supposed to do here?

    You cannot overwrite some vanilla IDs with just xml, in case of troop/troop tree, the new equipment set from your mod will mixed up with the vanilla.

    You alternative choices are:
    1. Copy the whole troop tree and give each troops with custom character ID. After that, create custom partyTemplates then edit spculture.xml to update the basic, elite troops and partyTemplate of specific culture.

    2. Use XSLT, here's the doc: http://docs.modding.bannerlord.com/bestpractices/xslt_usage_tutorial/
    How do I create an XSLT file? Sorry I've never programmed anything before outside of total war modding so this is all new to me. As I understand it, I should just have my modded spnpccharacters mod as a .XSLT rather than a XML file? Also what changes should I make to my submodule.xml if any?

    I also have the same issue, except before I made the mod a module and when I was just replacing Vanilla spnpccharacters file, it worked like a ****ing charm! This modding system sucks!

    I do agree that cataphracts shouldn't have braceable polearms, seems a bit silly and takes pikemen's niche. I wonder why the cataphracts don't use the Cataphract Lance.
    Another thing I changed in my mod! Would anyone here like to see the new troop trees by the way? Each faction got at least 1 new or changed unit, with the Sturgians getting completely changed in every line except the brigand line.

    What if Voulgier kept the voulge and Pikeman got the 2h sword?
    So I changed it to the Two-handed sword because the Voulge made the Pikemen better shock infantry then the Voulgier. I could change the stats of the weapons but that would make it incompatible with any combat mods.

    That could work for sure, reason I did it was thematically I thought having a two-handed polearm rather then a sword would fit the pikemen more.

    Sounds like mainly this makes him best against... Vlandia.

    Not saying it's a bad idea to give pikemen a swinging polearm for taking out cav once they've been stopped via pike though. Falx/Menavlion/Voulgier all are definitely more valuable troops since they are anti-cav and anti-infantry in one unit. Mostly because spears/pikes still aren't particularly great vs. cav - although they're better after the bracing changes.

    I myself will probs not play the current MP once MP mods start coming out. But still a mod with the warband system will not be active or alive at all. I don't mind either systems but some warband boomers like you mind it. Why do you waste time and energy on topics that will never happen or if they happen they will lack the interest of more than 100 warband players :grin::grin::grin: . TW will not bother to change their whole MP class system for a couple unsatisfied players like you .
    The Multiplayer of Warband has a more active playerbase then ****ing Bannerlord, this **** was/is dead on arrival!

    The issue is the devs listen to low IQ takes like yours. You, nor they, understand what actually made warband so good, and the competitive last for so long. Pretending the class system provides the same freedom just actively harms bannerlord. Anyone who has played enough warband, competitive or even casual, has major issues with the class system. Theres a reason BL has been a disaster for the multiplayer and its because of people like you. People need to stop being so nice and just call out the bull**** for what it is.

    I'd explain my side more but it looks as if others are doing it. Also if you actually understood what made warband so good you wouldnt have the opinion you have RN anyway, pointless convincing someone who shouldnt have such a strong opinion.
    Not to mention they've gradually gotten rid of distinctions between equivalent classes since at least EA launch if not Closed Beta, which I was in. Cataphracts lost their bow, Oathbound their pike, the sling for the savage, throwing weapons for heavy infantry including Pila and Axes and exchanging it for "+5 HP shield which is literally useless" and "slightly faster horse". It's a joke. If they really insist on this, they shouldn't be constantly trying to make every faction play exactly the same.

    I am overall happy with this unit. All damage infantery should have or keep 110 hitpoints, because of the lack of armor and shield.
    Taleworlds please change the name of this unit. Aserai does not have creative names for their units, except the Mameluke. I suggest to rename this unit to palace guard or sultan´s guard.

    No, but really, why don't you stand back and just shoot at them? What's the big deal?
    Because they are the fastest moving infantry in the game and can just dodge around. Seriously two hander ****s just run around spamming attacks and don't even block because they can just outrun your attacks.
