  1. Third person crosshair/view issues & arrow drop

Agreed on the crosshair. The 1st and 3rd person view positions should be normalized, because right now you need to aim in different spots for each. Frustrating when you get used to one and need to switch to the other for a better view.

You can easily see the difference by picking an object, centering on it, and switching between views. In first person your crosshair will be slightly higher.
  2. SP Sci-Fi "Bitter Earth" (Mod is dead... p.160 )

The taser gave me a neat weapon idea. A branding iron with some sort of rudimentary heating device to keep it hot.
  3. SP Sci-Fi "Bitter Earth" (Mod is dead... p.160 )

Any chance of a Red Rider being a weapon? Not for use so much as for novelty. Maybe as a starting gun.

Your influences list is lacking a big one: Fallout.  It would be really cool to see some characters from that series.

And great job. The mod is looking great. I love the PA setting.
  4. 0.800 Receive shield - move - scroll down - crash.

After you get the shield, equip it but don't pull it out (using scroll wheel). Exit Zendar then go fight some river pirates. Come back to Zendar and you will be able to equip the shield.

    This worked for me.
  5. Version 0.800 will not run

I'm getting the RGL error. When I mess with some graphics settings I can get rid of it and load up the training mission (though sometimes I get a different error). I really don't want to play the new version - a big graphical overhaul - on low settings.

It seemed that I could get it working with AA set to 1 and Programmable Shaders disabled. I was able to make a character really quickly by clicking on random skills then skipping over the face creation. Doing this let me play the game fine, so I quit out and toke a few minutes to make the character I actually wanted. I did this three times, and each time the game crashed.

I'm really frustrated now. I want to play this badly.

Also, I did all the updating stuff. Got the new Nvidia drivers, downloaded DX9 from the link in this thread, and reinstalled M&B 3 times.
  6. Archery penalty for gauntlets

I can understand why people wouldn't want a whole different stat for armor. Could it be judged by other stats though? I think, in another thread, someone mentioned that there should be no armor or weapons which required a certain level to wear; these armors should be equippable, but not used to full effect. Agility could govern light armor while strength governs heavy armor.
  7. Ordering the outfitting of your troops from Caravans visiting your Castle

Very cool idea. Something I would love to see.

But like the above posters, I think it is way too easy to capture a castle. Off topic, but castle sieges should be larger scale. It would be neat to rally Vaegrir or Swadian armies to aid a massive attack on a castle. Sieges should cause many deaths on your side if the rewards will be great (such as the above suggestion).
  8. Food debate

Do you think the new version of M&B will have a supply master where he will suplly everything for your party?

One possibility is a purchaseable "caravan" unit. This unit could hold a certain number of items without slowing down the party and would have 5 or so food slots. These slots would be cycled through as time went on, and players would only have to purchase new food after it is all gone. perhaps the caravan could act as an inventory box (at the start of a battle all items of the player's are transferred into empty storage space and can be accessed during the round. If it were decided to let the unit be attacked during battles, a few units could be assigned to guard the caravan with bows.
  9. Unique Items

I think it would be neat if spawned enemies such as dark horsemen or raiders would randomly have a leader who matched the player's skill. This leader could have a unique piece of armor or weapon which you could salvage after the battle.
  10. New stuff in .750?

I'm a sucker for cool stuff, and when I hear about something like this Samurai gear I can't help myself from going and getting it. It made me sad to know exactly where it was and not have it be a surprise like the pistol. So I went and sold it all. Hopefully I'll forget to locations before the next game I start...

As for changes... it seems like the menu sounds for moving items have been change. (unless that's just because somehow I increased my volume in the game)

Also, does anyone else have the problem that when trading with someone, the item description for their left most item goes off the screen?
  11. The Grand Leadership Debate re .750

    calandale 说:
Hell, I have trouble keeping a gaming group of 6 together. These are not soldiers in an army, and they owe nothing to you but personal loyalty. One small disagreement, even not involving the leader, and you have two groups.

Maybe if you paid them... =P
  12. Archery penalty for gauntlets

calandale - Perhaps what is needed is an armor proficiency stat. Like in the Elder Scrolls games where you can use heavy, light, or medium armor to full potential. For M&B, this could be changed to only light and heavy, or metal and fabric. Horses could have a strength stat that would govern how much of an encumbered character they could carry. A heavier character would slow weaker horses down and a lighter one would let the horse go at its fastest speed. War horses would have a high strength stat, so their charge would not be as affected by a lance wielding character in Black Armor.

The idea for finger guards is cool, too. If M&B ever adopts a left gauntlet, right gauntlet system, that would be a great item.

Eird-Way - If such a change would ruin a person's fun, then perhaps a juggernaut archer would be possible if penalties were removed but leather gloves would offer benefits. That way, the person who wanted the super-knight could have their way with heavy gauntlets, while archers could still have a bit of a bonus. Of course, it's all up to the developers. =)

  13. The Grand Leadership Debate re .750

On the topic of being able to have many heroes:

The developers are focusing on their core game more than the mods. When vanilla M&B is stocked with more than 5 or so heroes, I'm positive there will be a limitation. Until then, restrain yourself from gathering up each and every hero you see in a mod. =P
  14. Archery penalty for gauntlets

I did a search and could find nothing on this subject. It's fairly unrealistic to have an archer riding around with heavy gauntlets (even moreso scale mittens). To counter this, perhaps a penalty could be added to archers with gauntlets that are not leather or some other soft material...
