    Hey I'm playing the Rhodoks and none of my units ever upgrade past Guardia, Milize, and Milize Ballestre. The other lords all have units past that, it's just mine never upgrade. I think its because they use the second upgrade path and the first is left empty.

    Remember, this is the kingdom of nords, not the sea raiders. The nords are quite settled and would likely have access to horses. I don't know whether they should, but keep your mind open to the option.

    And pada would you consider overhauling the bandit troops? It feels a little ridiculous how all their gear is practically the same. The looters especially should have a much greater variety of gear, they use whatever they can find. It would also be interesting if you could add different types of bandits such as mountain bandits with bows and desert bandits with camels.

    It seems crossbows (and by association the Rhodoks) have always performed pretty poorly in mount and blade, which is a bit nonsensical as it is a more advanced weapon.

    This is a feature from Custom Commander. That mod also allows the player to create custom troops for their faction, but that feature has not been included in Floris' mod.

    Are you kidding me? Experimenting with new features is great! It's the foundation of modding! Without it we wouldn't have any of the great mods in this pack. I say keep trying new stuff! If you think this is "bizarro" you are welcome to play native.

    How do you use the Item pools and inventories?

    Set up your companions to use items form the pool (make sure upgrade armor and horses are also checked) then tell your companions to upgrade from items in the pool. once they've taken the best stuff, go to town and use the "sell items automatically" command. Once you learn how to use the item pools it becomes much faster and more convenient than managing inventories yourself.

    Hey I just started with 1.3 and the first thing I did was go to a tournament. Sometimes you get not weapon! Also, sometimes the AI gets the big axe and a horse and cant use it on the horse so he uses his fists!

    I really enjoy playing the mod right now, but my biggest annoyances are some of the battles. Battles on fields where the AIs circle each other for ten minutes before charging is incredibly tedious. And some of the sieges are very annoying too. The ladders and the walls are both often too thin, which doesn't give the defenders much more of an advantage, it just makes the fight take much longer. The Historic Castles are great, but they don't cover every castle or the towns. I don't expect to be able to solve these, but if/when they do get fixed, this will be a perfect M&B experience.

    I added Polished Landscapes to my install of this mod following these instructions: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,129716.0.html. The only issue is the scenes that are edited, which conflict with the castles in this mod.

    I love the new backgrounds. It would be great if you could add more. The [Esc] menu for example has not been modified. Maybe you could even make them with different factions. In the same style of course, for example how a Swadian artist would imagine a fight between the Khergits and Sarranids.

    Suggestions

    Have you ever thought it was weird that you are the only leader of a mercenary band in the game, ever? I think it would be cool if AI merc bands would crop up, seeking a kingdom to hire them. If you were a king or maybe a noble you could hire them. You couldn't directly control them, but they would be significantly cheaper then adding mercenary troops to your band. The AI kingdoms would hire them as well, and fighting enemy merc bands could bridge the gap from sea raiders to the armies of nobles. They would also be helpful when forming ones own kingdom, because unlike the lords you must woo, mercenaries would fight for you as long as you could pay them.
