Because they can charge down that mountainside with killer momentum and not only impale through one enemy, but multiple ones, while knocking many others over with their horses! then after that, they need to get off their horse, and slide people off the end of the lance, or at least peices of people off his lance.

And the landscape changes are already being worked on.

My party consists of about 15 swadian knights, 10 sword sisters, and 5 seargents. all horsed except the seargents. in a battle, against a group of about 30 dark hunters, and all but one seargent was either killed or knocked out, and i only lost one sword sister and two knights in the melee. Ive yet to see a group of footmen attack me, and win with an overwhelming victory.

I can take myself, borcha, marnid, and 10 knights, against 40 bandits, and not loose any knights. borcha and marnid are just idiots at times.

I think you just have issues riding against footman.

All you needed to do was get rid of the /v-web/bulletin/etc.... stuff and you woulda been good.

Use crossbows. Longer reload time makes things a little more interesting when you have 4 or 5 unhorsed dark hunters comin for you. Not to mention, you have to be unhorsed yourself to reload.

Run around, shoot, run to somewhere safe, get off the horse reload get on the horse, run around, shoot, repeat.

I find with just regular bows, that its way too easy, so Ill stick with crossbows for that extra challange, especially when your about to be swarmed by enemies!

Not all of them are insta-kills. On occasion, maybe 1 out of 30, youll knock them suckers unconscience.

What would be neat, is if you could walk over to someone whos unconscience, arm your crossbow, walk up to their body, shoot them in the face, so then they arent unconscience anymore.

Ah but that is modern times. I know that people live of gunshot wounds to the head. But this is based in past. Where an ARROW, ----> , is through your head. Im sure pulling that out of your head is, and will, do more damage on the way out, then it will on the way in.

Dont use cheats. If you dont cheat, you wont know where they are coming from. Therfore, as your walking, it will make you think. Unless you have memorized the points on the map. Then I feel pity for you.

It could also be that your CD-ROM is messed up. Ive had problems with my games that wouldnt start up, or I couldnt burn onto CDs. It never crashed my system though. I just bought a new CD-ROM drive and all was good.

Depends on where the arrow was shot from as well. If from a crossbow at a range of say 20 meters, then that arrow is moving pretty quick, and it would take a lot to stop it. But if it was shot from a range of 200 meters, then after a while the arrow would lose momentum and slow down, thus not causing as much, if any, damage. Take note, this is with a crossbow, where is fires pretty straight with not much arc.

Now a bow, fired upward would go up into the sky, lose momentum, fall down, and gain momentum and thus cause a lot of force on impact. Again, thats assuming you got lucky and hit one of the scattered enemies.

At any rate, getting hit in the head with an arrow, protected or not, would suck.

Its one of the missions from a Merchant. Hell tell you his daughter of a friend, I think its of a friend, has been captured. You need to goto a certain city that the bandits are holding her by, pay the ransom, get the girl, take her back to town. or you can kill the bandits, keep the ransom, keep the gold for returning her.
