Oi, now I want to see people's reactions when the new version comes out...
Looking forward to seeing this! I've got the warhammer fantasy bug at the moment, what with the new Total War coming out and seeing these massive battles.
Any change log, or specific updates to look forward to in the coming version?
That is one of the key things holding up the release. I can only document changes _I_ made, but some of my notes are technical and could be skipped. The problem is there were two years of changes by other people, and I never played the earlier version so I don't know what changed between May 2014 and December 2015, when I came aboard.
I only know changes made AFTER December 7th 2015-ish. (A day that need not live in infamy).

What is not mentioned are all the faction/troop tree/model/scenes changes; 1 out of every 3 factions is either new or completely rebuilt. Five factions were added; PLUS empire, araby, goblin, orc, lizardman, and chaos models/troop lines were rebuilt/remade.
Tomb Kings and Skaven had changes to their troop trees with the addition of thrown Area of Effect weapons, as did Araby. Mounts are remade, a second, playable female (elf) face added, support for female characters in all dialogs, wife as a companion, a retooled economy, sea traders, enhanced kingdom parties, combat abilities, added reports, more cheat capabilities, limited diplomacy (no long periods of peace as before), no attacks by lone lords against villages, working deathcam, optional working overhead mini-battle map view, encumbrance system made meaningful, dodge, corruption-resistant data model changes, and more.
