    Mod request for weapon swinging

    The skill would be there because you would still need to click to provide the back swing. It could be set on a timer so that the player reverts to the ready position again after 2 seconds. I don't know if this mod can be done, however, because it involves the game engine's control with animations.

    Please make scabbard for the swords if you will.  These should be considered hand and a half type scimitars.  I think they look awesome and have special plans for them in the mod I am working on.  :smile:

    I have three questions for you.
    1. I am particular in meshing in detail, so the question would be if you are only placing these blades on your leader. Reason being is that there are many more polys on these blades and texturing wouldn't do these justice. :smile: With more polys on there and if you were to place these on an entire army, it would cause dramatic FPS drop. If you want lower polys, I can do that but it will sacrifice detail, simply because textures can only go so far.

    2. The scabbard won't allow the sword to go in because of the way it's conformed to the blade, I will have to modify it to make sense in me noggin. But I will conform them if you wish.

    3. How do you want the scimitars to be strapped on the player?

    Make sure your new texture is the same size as the banner you want to replace, then add at as a layer. Merge it to the main banner texture.

    Thanks to WookieWarlord and the BRF script, I have Blender as my arsenal. This blade...

    ..is now in game. I'm using game textures just because I was in a hurry to get it in, but was able to use environmental and shaders in the first run. Picture quality sucks but I was too excited by my personal success. There is plenty of tweaking left considering that this was a three mesh object. It is in game as a 'bastard' (one-hand/two-hand) sword that straps to the back :wink: . Still need to make the scabbard, however. Needless to say, I'm stoked.

    Perhaps, a typo?  :shock: That's one thing I noticed about this game, every letter had better be placed right if it's going to work. That proves at times difficult to someone like me who types with two fingers, and a thumb for the space bar  :razz: ..

    I like that armor. Is there any way to project transparency to make a face shield in game?

    Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. Once I figure out how this module system works, I will be releasing some weapons, as resources. My particular favorite is the 16th century bastard sword. I should try to get that in there soon, I really want to see how the textures will react with the blood groove that is meshed in. :razz:

    Amade@ I agree about the last axe, there was something odd looking to me about it anyway. It could be the way I half-assed molded the hole to conform with the head. Ah well, I may just fill it in and throw in some 'whistle holes'.

    ..a few of my recent constructs. They are of a higher poly and not really M&B ready, but can be manipulated, eventually. The grip on the quarter is all mesh via coil.. :razz:

    To back up Amade: I've used Blender for over a year for Morrowind. It's true the rumors of the UI being difficult to grasp, but for a free program that is constantly being upgraded, it is a damn fine one and it's worth the time to learn. Just make sure you have the import/export scripts that you need and you will be set.

    Thanks again for your input, but I tried different combinations. To no avail, nothing seemed to have changed, though it compiled just fine. I will keep searching for an answer. I realize that most on here think it's a ludicrous idea to go in without an army, I really don't care about that. I just want it to work.
