    Strange FPS issue

    The last time i had installed warband i could run it easily at high graphics and get 50+ FPS. i have just re-installed it and now im getting very low FPS even on minimum graphical settings. How can i fix this?

    1. Which enemy are you referring to? Some troops in PoP easily have 350 proficiency and use very good weapons, or are mounted and make use of speed bonus to damage you.

    2. If you have played vanilla Mount and Blade, it should already be known that blunt and pierce have more damage against armor than cut damage, which is the default slash damage type.

    3. Play smart. Don't engage enemies that outnumber you tenfold, and these troops can fill your screen with green texts.

    4. Deal with it, always been that way. Best way to progress has always been to be a mercenary for one of the factions.

    edit: i DID say that there are next to 0 enemys i can fight, so telling me to engage armys i can fight kinda makes no sense

    Observations on cavalry vs being footsoldier

    i like to mix it up... on big fights where the odds aren't good for my side i stay on my horse and order my cavalry to follow me and my arches/infantry to hold position while me and my buddies take out enemy archers and cavalry on the initial charge. but on easy fights like 100vs. 60 i go on foot.

    But, yea the Vargirs suck. Their Knights and Horseman are weaker than other cavalry. Their archers are not nearly as strong as they appear on paper and are useless in melee. Only Vaegir unit I like is their Veteran which is a half infantry/half cavalry unit. Veterans are hardy little buggers both mounted and on foot. I do not advance them to higher levels though as I think the Vaegir higher infantry and horseman are not worth it.

    Also with the situation with your kingdom and all, your kinda ****ed. Try to make peace with the Rhodes until you have a huge ass army to take some of their castles

    You can get money from taxes of course, also if you go to curaw buy all the iron and sell it at tulga. Then at tulga buy all the spice and sell it at Durquba. THEN at durquba buy dates and sell it at curaw. Rinse and repeat for lotz o' money's! (it's best to do this during peace)

    Alright to get a lot of good troops fast, go to villages and recruit as normal, this is the only way to get soldiers. To rank them up fast, invest skill points into the trainer skill. Also give the trainer skill to your companions. In my game I can get 100 recruits to full fledged high ranking troops in a few days without getting in one fight.
