But when i besieged i believe was Knudarr Castle, i told my ment to charge, but the only entrance is through the back, and the AI has no idea how to get there, they just run into the wall. The vastness of the place is huge so, idk whats wrong here but that castle siege mode is quite horrible, i had to do it over 4 times to realize it was a fruitless effort.     Well thanks for the feedback thought I got rid of all the troubled castles in the pack with AI mapping issues. Ill take a closer look at Knudarr Castle. Maybe as a temporary work around you can tell your men to Follow you.

    Don't know if this is part of the original or not, but poor mapmaking + stupid AI = Stuck everywhere.

    One of the many spots where the units just circled back and forth in.

    Just one of the rare times where I wish this was fire and sword and grenade these infidels to hell.

    What is the name of this castle your having trouble with? From the screen though it looks like a native castle however.

    I agree with you, this is tricky, and to be honest, i haven't succeeded yet despite many tries. :wink:
    I've got some missing textures when loading the game, i tried several times in doing exactly what is described.
    Basically, a new step by step install for installing the mod + sharing of the config file would be a must.
    Or like for Brytenwalda, an alternative download link with the PL mod already installed, i'm pretty sure many players would be very interested.

    Anyway, i hope it will be included for PoP 4.0, it's adding so much to the atmosphear.
    I can't play without it anymore.


    Yes if there is any one out there that has successfully installed polished landscape with the latest version of PoP it would be nice if you could updload your PoP files for others to use that are intrested in installing this. But from reading past threads it seems people have been successful in installing this on older version of PoP for Warband.

    Noosers if your running your PoP game with polished landscape could you upload the files somewhere so others can use.

    Orderly Conquests unique to POP?

    Yes its the Campaign Ai and the Battle Ai that makes every other mod ive played just seem silly now. No other mods ive played so far come close to the battle Ai of PoP. I think its the mods most defining feature.

    WARBAND - Questions About Tactics, Strategy and Overall Gameplay

    I really like ebony gauntlet because they have range with crossbows but yet they can still wreck things in melee. Also alot of them tend to carry blunt weaponry which will net you alot of prisoners which= alot of cash.

    They act like archers though by default so if you want them to go in like infantry assign them to your infantry group and order your infantry to hold their fire.

    Well it will be hard to upgrade Barclay Footman to a Lancer because they're already at a high lvl. Also it will be extremely hard to upgrade the Lancer to a Conquistador because of  their high lvl and unless you cheat the only way to really get them to upgrade to a conquistador is with the experience the lancer gets during battle which is slow. The conquistador is on par with knighthood lvl troops. But they will be very hard to train up so I wouldn't say its a short cut. Actually theyre harder to train up than hero adventurers.

    Also the Singalian troop I added is an upgrade from the singalian spearman but theyre still pretty mediocre troops.

    I like your idea of making the Northmen and Highlanders part of the Mystmountain. But how would that fit with the lore though? Lore wise it just seems they would fit more with actually being part of the Ravenstern,

    Think some of those lords that bounce back and forth act like spies. There was one empire lord on my game that kept bouncing back and forth from D'shar and the Empire. When he was with the Dshar and Id ask him for missions he would constantly ask me to deliver letters to Empire lords.

    Mini Modification in the works if I have permission to release such a mod cause it messes with many of the PoP files and Ill also need permission from "The Wedding Dance" Devs to release it because I ported the textures over to PoP.

    What I plan on tweaking
    Added upgrade paths for some of the other faction units in particular now you can upgrade

    MettenHeim Regular infantry>MettenHiem Greatsword> MettenHiem Hauptmann> Forlorn Hope

    Veccavi Kral Guard> Veccavi Krom Guard

    Veccavi Horse> Veccavi Knight> Veccavi Queens Guard

    Barclay Heavy Footman> Barclay Lancer> Barclay Conquistador

    Buffing the Singalians a bit.

    There troop tree feels weak so basically buffed the stats of Singalian Horseman. Giving them +30 in all weapon profencies and +1 in both their power strike and power draw

    Adding a new troop that upgraded from Singalian Spearman, a Singalian warrior

    Some characteristics of this new troop- They will all have Singalian scale armor and either a D'shar Bow or Nomad Bow they will also carry singalian noble sword or death sabre and have a Dshar or Torbah shield.
    Stat wise they will be slightly weaker than a Dshar Bladesman except when it comes to archery they will have more power draw. Meant to be flexible and can be used as infantry or archers.

    Adding a new shock infantry (lightly armored, fast, hard hitting unit) to the Ravenstern

    Northmen and Highlanders. If you played the "Wedding Dance" mod they should look familiar.  Northmen upgrade from Ravenstern Footmen and the Highlander upgraded from the Northman.

    Stat wise I wanted to make the Highlander comparable to the other cultures shock units like the Ferd Berserker, Empire Gladiator, and the D'shar Scorpion Assassin

    They wear some awesome looking kilts. They're very light weight but don't give much protection. Theyll use Pendor Great swords, Claymores, and Warspears, and various throwing axes and spears. THe upgraded Highlander unit has a chance to spawn with sheild but not the Northman.

    Other notes
    Unfortunately wont be save game compatible.
    In order to fit the new kilts in I had to remove some items. THe safest and easist ones to remove were some of the Rune Weapons that weren't used by any of the unique spawns. So doing Hidden Minez probably wont be a good idea with this mod  but if you do it you might get a nice looking kilt!!

    The Wedding Dance (Beta Download v.92)

    I recently made a modification to my Prophecy of Pendor mod that included a ported version of the "Northman" and "Highlander" troops from the Wedding Dance. I used the face textures and textures for the kilts of that unit. That was one of the most memorable units from this mod to me. If any of the devs from this mod see this I may want to share this mod with others if given your blessings.

    Which numbers are you refering too? The ones in the item kind text? If the (2) you refer to what I highlighted in blue? Do I need to change that number depending on how many frames the mesh has?

    your other comapnion wont come back until you take another castle or town and appoint another minister. Once you appoint another minister your companion will attempt to rejoin your party in a few day time.
