"One or more textures on this 3D model have been created with images from CGTextures.com. These images may not be redistributed by default, please visit www.cgtextures.com for more information."
The random trees spawn everywhere in the persistant world mod, making the map hard to navigate in some places, and the rocks under the green castle are invisible. Is it possible you can release a persistant world compatible mod, because it looks absolutely incredible and I really want to use this.
Ugh why don't you do it yourself man. Gutek is busy with Polished buildings and minor fixes of Polished Landscapes, so I doubt he will waste his time to do his mod literally from a scratch(landscapes, scenes- coz adding object is not hard)
Anyways we agreed that Skybox pack will be just a separate addon for Polished Landscapes. Im currently adjusting all skyboxes from my pack and doing some tweaks. Don't worry i'll include all credits and stuff ;] Thanks for your concern tho
Maybe it's just me, but I think the least you could do would be to read the "CGTextures License", specially this part:
When selling or redistributing a 3D model bundled with textures from CGTextures please add the following text in the documentation accompanying the model:
"One or more textures on this 3D model have been created with images from CGTextures.com. These images may not be redistributed by default, please visit www.cgtextures.com for more information."
I believe releasing a mod to public using those textures falls under the "redistributing" part.
EDIT: I didn't download your "compliation", so I don't know if you included that text. I apologise in case you did. I know your intentions are good, but I get the feeling some of you guys don't pay attention... You don't want to get gutek in trouble, do you?
um nah im not selling it nor redistributing yet. It was just a quick upload for gutek, when i release it as OSP I plan to add a readme file with credits etc, so don't worry
No, sorry. You should be able to make the torch's fire with a particle system, but M&B's engine does not support moving lights. (IDK about Warband, though.)
Id consider this cheating in multiplayer. All participants should have equal chances. Being able to see more than your opponents is an unfair advantage.
Well unless it's helms that would make you see less. Altering your perception. Less head protection = slighty better perception could be considered a fair tried... But still- only if applied to all and well balanced :p
Yes. A secondary *weapon* that would make fighting and moving at night easier.
Im currently compiling over 30 diffrent skyboxes with light effects. My main goal is:
- Make night darker so it's actually sometimes better to wait for morning(done)
- to merge it with camp entr mod(fighting from fortified positions while camping),
- somehow make troops loose morale while travelling at night,(encourage setting camps at night rather than travelling 24/7)
But of course a working torch(shield) would fit such modifications perfectly ^_^
Could you inform me about any progress made in making such item, please?
Woah I managed to make the night really dark.(have you ever been in a forest having just moonlight to light your path?).
Hell it's so dark that I think it would be apropriate to add Torches.
So here's the question: is it possible to add a torch that would give light to surrounding area?(i was...
hmm whats the dunno? is there any place I could find flags example? What does the 16 mean in what you wrote/ what it stands for.?
allright well Warband skyboxes.txt and mountnblade skyboxes.txt are very diffrent. Explanation I posted earlier seems useless for warband. I wish I'd know what all these values mean...
ah just one more question and propably I could release it as open source
Question about flags: im not sure what values means what.
The problem im having is that I have 13 meshes/textures) of CLOUDS. Should they ALL have same flag or do I somehow group them to things like: Afternoon, Noon, Morning etc? And if yes: what are certain values for diffrent day times(or should I simply look them up in my unedited skyboxes.txt and figure them out?)
