  1. Modding Q&A [For Quick Questions and Answers]

    Just a quickish question here. I'm looking for the code related to your horse getting crippled in combat. Is it possible to find and edit this? I've been unable to track it down.

    Alternatively, there's supposedly a mechanic that allows lame horses to heal in your inventory after a certain amount of time. Again though, I've been unable to find this code at all (or seen it in action for that matter, is this a myth?).

    If someone could point me in the right direction to find either one of these in the module files I'd be most grateful.
  2. Bug Reports and Player Feedback

    Been having a little semi-important bug lately, sometimes assassins won't spawn when they're trying to assassinate me. The encounter starts, I can walk around for a few seconds, then the screen just pops up saying who tried to assassinate me and I get money. While I'm never one to decline free money, this is a bit silly. It seems to vary from town to town. Sometimes he spawns, sometimes he doesn't.

    Another fairly important bug I had was when I asked the Sargoth guild master for a quest, it was one of those hunt the bandits who have been harassing the area or whatnot quests. I declined it, guildmaster said it would hang around for a few days, so I did some other stuff for some time. Mostly warfare. When I came back hoping to get a different quest, it was still the same one. But I was getting an invalid/missing unit error from the debug thing and the quest was telling me to go hunt the High Jarl. I tried closing the convo and talking to him again, same error, this time quest told me to hunt a blank space. I'm guessing the group the quest was intended for had died but the quest hadn't removed itself yet. Not sure if this is a native or NE issue but it seems to need fixing.

    Minor thingy, but the amounts left on ale and wine aren't showing, even though they're food and can run out. It's not a problem for me per se, but it should be visible I guess.

    The mountain bandit spawning rate in the Rhodok mountain area needs some nerfing. When left unchecked I could count over a dozen mountain bandit groups on my screen at one point. It's mostly annoying because it makes them cocky and you get aggrod even when you have 100+ troops. Effectively turning them into kamikaze units. Funny, yes, practical, no. It's probably due to the area being mostly mountains so all the groups get squeezed in the areas inbetween where you have to travel.

    And finally, but I'm not sure about this one, I think some Rhodok Veteran Scouts spawn without crossbows. Really not sure about this one though, might just be the AI not wanting to use them, like the **** it is.

I mean that a hero with a strength of 9 will be able to use armor meant for a strength of 18. This only works if you allow them to automatically use the items, as opposed to you manually fitting them with armor. I hope this helps.

    Confirmed, my Katrin just equipped a set of armor even my character can't equip yet.

    As an update on this issue, I've noticed when I first order my troops to hold position or follow me that the horse archers will in fact switch to their bows when the enemy comes in range. It's literally their initial rush that seems to have them favoring melee. Really, I think it's just the order in which their items are assigned and little more.

    I guess we could blame it on the heat of the moment. They need to cool their heads before they realise they're archers, not berserkers.

    This is a list of little nitpicks and thoughts I have on this otherwise smexy mod. Most of these things have no major impact on the game, mind. Khergit Horse Archers are defaulting to melee at the start of a battle, causing them to rush into enemy lines. They only seem to switch to their bows...
  6. The Seperate Troop Lines

    I'm having trouble with this, maybe I haven't looked around enough yet, but is there any way to decide if you want to recruit infantry, archers or horsemen into your armies? Because as far as I can tell, it's pretty much random what with the seperated troop lines. I just seem to end up with way...
