What's the worst thing you ever put into your mouth?

When I was younger, I had to take some medicine that was in the form of powder. However, it never occurred to my mother that it had to be dissolved in water, so she had me swallow a spoonfull of it. Obviously, I choked on it, and it took me a while to spit it out. For a moment there, I thought I was gonna die.
I'm definitely not putting powder in my mouth ever again.

    Are you religious?

    Nash 说:
From here, I go "Okay, so god made stuff, but what made god?"

From there, we can end up with an infinite regress (ie the silly part), or maybe someone says "god always existed".

Then I say something silly like  "How can god always have existed?", or better yet, "Couldn't matter, or some form of matter/energy have always existed? Why assume that if something had to have always existed that that thing has to be sentient?"

I chose to skip all this because this line of discussion seems silly to me, hence my superb choice of gif.

    Vasile 说:
If there is a God, then chances are he's not bound by the same laws and limits (space, time, matter) as we are.
If God is not limited by time, then there is no such thing as "before God", "after God". "God has always existed" has to be true, because God created time, and has therefore existed since the beginning of time.
It's difficult, if not impossible, for us to understand, because we're used to the things we experience daily. No one has ever been outside of time to get an idea of how it's like. To be outside of time means that you can see all that has/will ever happen at once, much like the way a 4-dimensional being can see the entire 3rd dimension at once, without needing to look up, down, left or right; the same way your read images off your monitor, which are 2d projections of 3d objects.

As for the question "Couldn't matter, or some form of matter/energy have always existed?", you have to think about the correlation between space, matter, and time. If you have only matter and time, where would you put it? If you have only matter and space, when would you put it? If you have only space and time, what would be there?

    Nash 说:
Why assume that if something had to have always existed that that thing has to be sentient?
Because the world works in a certain way, there are laws that govern it. How did those laws come to be there? Could the matter have known how it should react beforehand? Doesn't that make it sentient then?
Also, you need energy to alter matter. In physics, kinetic energy is defined as (mass*(speed^2))/2. Speed is space divided by time. Potential energy is proportional to gravitational acceleration, which is defined as space/(time^2). In thermodynamics, internal energy is also proportional to time. In electricity, energy is (voltage)x(intensity)x(time). According to the big bang theory, we all came from a swirling dot, in which all matter and energy was concentrated. If that dot was there before time, how come it had energy? That energy could not have spontaneously appeared, since it's been determined that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only transformed.

Edit: Googling around came up with this. It makes a good point, and it's an interesting read.

    Are you religious?

It could be because it's late and I'm tired, but I don't see what infinite regress has to do with what I said.

If there is a God, then chances are he's not bound by the same laws and limits (space, time, matter) as we are. Take a look at this article.
In the same way we are not bound by the laws in virtual worlds that we create, but can alter them to our liking.

I just like to see that people believe in something, even if that belief is that there is no god.
Like someone once said (can't remember his name):
There are only two possibilities: Either there is a god, or there is no god.
    And both possibilities are frightening.

Wait a minute... if there is no God, then how did we get here?

You hunt. Deer (mule/whitetail) and turkey, for now.

So yeah, usually you run/walk around until you pick up some tracks, then get to your prey, shoot it and bag it.
I'd make a movie, but so far I'm not that good at it, and it takes me quite a while til I find something to shoot (there's a doe in the last pic, you can see part of its neck between the trees).

It's more difficult than Deer Hunter 2005 (I used to pwn at that one). The detailed vegetation makes it hard to spot animals.

Here's the doe I was talking about:

It's going to be an MMO. Right now, the map you can play on is single-player only (I think - it's three times the size of the Utah map from DH2005, for those who've played it), but the larger map that will be included in the final release is about 30 times bigger.

    Anyway, here's two more screenshots:

    Digital preservation project

I'm taking a look at it right now. In the meantime, you might want to fix the links in your post.

Edit: Checked the site and completed the survey. The only things that don't seem to be right are the e-mail on the Further Information page ([email protected]) and a small inaccuracy on the General Strategies/Tips page (As mentioned earlier leaving a hard disk in an attic for 50 years will almost certainly result in usable and inaccessable digital information. - don't you mean unusable?)

Overall, it looks good and delivers. Should come in handy for most people.

Also, the survey didn't work in Opera v9.64. The webpage works in both Opera and Internet Explorer.

It took me four days to download (crappy internet connection), but it was worth it. It's running fine on my system, which is Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 95W Ed. 2.40GHz, GeForce GTX 260, with 2 GB RAM, with all settings maxed out.

My Suggestions for M&B(I actually thought these over, it's not just random crap)

    Deathlordjaffar 说:
The first one I have to mention is the ever un/popular concept of dual wielding.
Given the current combat system, I don't think dual wielding would be easy to implement. Say you swing your off-hand weapon with the right click. Then how do you parry?

    Deathlordjaffar 说:
The reason I am even bothering with this is that I think it would have immense commercial appeal (seriously, how many millions of extra copies do you think Taleworlds would sell if their cover art was a plate armored berserker swinging battle axes in a crowd?), would be historically accurate (I even did some research to back up this claim, to make myself credible), and would be extremely fun.
How would a a plate armored berserker swinging battle axes in a crowd be historically accurate?

    Deathlordjaffar 说:
It would also help to balance the game by giving more advantages to footmen and making more people go with one-handed weapons on foot.
No. I find the game pretty well balanced as it is. And I bet a lot of people (me included) use one hand weapons, mostly in conjunction with a shield.

    Deathlordjaffar 说:
This was actually used many times, a skilled soldier would have a dagger in one hand (primarily used for parrying blows), and his saber in the other.
Historically accurate or not, I can't see a dagger being used for blocking. How the hell do you block a thrust or a voulge with it?

    Deathlordjaffar 说:
I think that the implementation of dual wielding should consist of the smaller one handed weapons being able to be equipped to the offhand, at a certain loss of speed and damage.
Which would make it pointless. Instead of spending the money on an off-hand weapon, it's better to just buy a better weapon for your primary hand. Also, dual wielding would be impossible (or at least silly) on horseback.

Also, shouldn't this be in the Privy?
