I'm having some problems when modding using
jik's modding tutorial, I don't know where to post it so I'm just gonna ask it here.
This is what happened: When I reachend step 2 I added a new town in module_parties.py (following all of his instrucions) I use build_module.bat, no problems so far, no error messages at all, everything seems allright. then I start mount&blade I select my mod, I skip the intro movie, the main menu loads and I want to start a game...
This is where the trouble starts, whenever I press "Start a new game" the game runs fine up to the part where it says "Launching game", then it freezes. Not just a long loading time (I tested it by having dinner while it loaded
), so I erase my mod, copy the Native content again, do every step in the tutorial again but still the same problem. I tried it without adding the new icon and using icon_town as the city's icon but it just refuses to actually launch the game when it says it's launching. It doesn't give any error messages either,it just can't launch
I've been searching for a solution for this problem for the last three days now but I haven't found anything. There was
one guy who seemed to have the same problem as I, but because of all the broken English/use of offtopic German/flaming I couldn't really figure out if his problem was actually solved or if it even was the same problem.
