    The dialog works fine if there isn't a hero in the encountered party. If there is a hero, even if he's not in the initial spot (I tried that, and the guy that appears is a non-heroic troop), I still get 'dialog Z' -> fight -> 'dialog Z'. Is this normal? Anyone find a way to get around it? I'm gonna ditch the hero if I have to, but I'm pretty sure I've seen mods in which one fights against other heroes and they don't have this issue...

    Still doesn't work. Initial dialog, fight, initial dialog again. However, if I try to start a fight when the dialog pops up a second time, it just sends me back to the overland map. The second (give up) choice works, though.

    And I probably should be able to capture him, too, right? Because my next thought was to trigger the dialog when speaking to him as a prisoner. That's not happening either... I don't get a chance to capture him after his defeat.

    I'll just post the dialog I've got... I mostly cobbled it together by copying it from other parties that did similar things, so it could be screwed up somehow. Renamed a few things, but altered triggers and party templates and everything in accordance. Anyhow...

    Ah. I wonder which part isn't working properly... the rest of the tutorial example is working, I've just been trying to expand it and that's where I bumped into trouble.

    if anyone knows of a work-around to get that effect I mentioned: two different dialogs depending on the battle outcome instead of repeating the initial meeting dialog, I'd really appreciate it.  :neutral:

    Hmm. That didn't work, but thanks for trying to help. Maybe I didn't explain myself right, especially because I don't think the $gerval_duel at 2 makes a difference there.

    The problem is this... I meet the party on the overland map. The dialog I set up for that begins. In one option, I surrender and give up the quest. This is working fine.

    In the other option, I fight the party.

    If I win, instead of getting the "enemy_defeated" message, I get the party_tpl|pt_young_bloods, "start", etc again. The very same dialog.

    I want two different dialogs to appear at the end of the battle, depending on the outcome. One if I win. One if I lose. Is this possible to do? Currently, at the end of the battle I just get the first dialog again...

    I'm an utter noob. I have been looking for this information in search but I've not able to find anything that quite matches the problems I'm describing, except in a post on the 'bugs' thing that wasn't answered.

    Here's what I've got. I was trying to, on a lark, finish up the start of a quest that's posted in the Module Tutorials. The one about Geoffrey, though I have renamed the fellow.

    Everything goes fine up to the point where I meet him on the overland map. Here...

    So far so good. Now, I've tried to make it so, if I defeat the party, I can recruit the dude. And, of course, have the $gerval_duel thingie set to 3 so I can finish the quest and get my reward from Constable Hareck.

    But... this dialog never shows up. After I defeat them, it goes back to the first dialog I posted. On the dialogs module file, I have this one set -above- the other, too. I'm not sure what the problem may be.

    And I've yet to tackle what to do if they defeat me. Is there an enemy_victorious thingie like there is an enemy_defeated one? Or some other way to trigger an event if their party is victorious over mine?

    Agora estás na internet, certo? Podes comprar com cartão de crédito online, mas acho que o jogo não está à venda em lojas, mesmo que houvesse CD tinha de ser comprado na net. Não sei. Acho que só com cartão de crédito pela net ou com paypal.
