    No, I mean my change doesn't show up at all.

    In the editor I've got level(30) and def_attrib in the attribute section and knows_common, knows_ironflesh_5, knows_power_strike_5, knows_athletics_6 and knows_shield_6 in the skill sections, but in game these are the stats:

    I've run into a problem while editing my troops with Morgh's editor, the troop name and upgrade tree changes are the way they should be and the troops use the equipment I've assigned them but the stat changes I've made don't seem to be having any effect, what have I done wrong?

    Also, what determines which equipment a unit spawns with? I've assigned several different pieces of equipment for each slot but my units are only spawning with one combination, is there a way to force some diversity?

  5. SP Native Pre-Battle Orders & Deployment (v0.96.3 for Warband 1143+WSE)-patch for 115x

    First, I want to say that this mod is pretty much exactly what I've always wanted for M&B: A proper deployment phase, formations, pre-battle orders, all that stuff really changes the game for the better.

    However, I'm having some problems with this latest Diplomacy + PBOD release:

    At the start of the battle: I get the new pop up box, some error codes scroll by:

    I click OK and instead of getting to position my troops, the game jumps straight to this:

    My soldiers start in a square, like I ordered pre-battle, but when I open the special orders menu I'm treated to another set of error codes:

    I give the order to brace spears and only 4 or 5 of my men actually listen, the rest form a single line:

    Finally, I order them to form a square again and get this peculiar little message:

    So yeah... I don't know what's going on there, you have any idea?

    I just spent an hour or so adding adding a whole lot of weapons from Dejawolf's (awesome) Viking Pack... only to find out that they appear to glow in the freaking dark:

    (It's much brighter on my screen).

    Is there something wrong here or are they meant to be that way?

    The Warhammer (the gold-looking one that Diev starts with) and the Military Hammer are both quite good, they're short range but that's actually a plus when you're in sieges or on foot.

    All the 1H blunt weapons have quite short reach.

    Get a Charger, Blunt Lance and Military Hammer and you're on your way.

    Oh, and companions can do really well with blunt weapons (especially Roland/Alistair/Jocelyn/Rayne with blunted lances).
  11. OSP Dark Ages 3D Art Viking model pack(update september 2010)

    When I open the BRF files in OpenBRF I only get textures when viewing "vendelhelmets" and "vikingarmour".

    When I open "vikingclothes", "vikingweapons" or "vikinghelmets"... just that pretty white and purple checkered pattern.

    Any help?

    Okay, I think this is the right place to put this:

    Say I want to do a simple re-color of an item, is it as simple as opening up the correct .dds file in PS, changing what I want to change and saving the file again?

    I have no clue about this stuff.

    So I'm trying to add some OSP stuff to my game, I've put the textures in the texture folder, resources in the resource folder, copied over the item_kinds1 lines and added load_mod_resource lines to my module.ini file.

    When i start up the game, it crashes while loading setting data, error message says "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way".

    Anyone know what I've done wrong?

    I'm a fan of slightly more complex troop trees though, if i were to chart one for a sarleon-ish kingdom it would probably look like:

    Where the spearmen would be armed with 1H spears and secondaries plus shields and the light infantry with shields, short swords and the occasional infantry mace, one-hand axe or pick.
                                                                                                             
    Halberds and Longbowmen would be the main strengths and the crossbowmen and shield troops used to fill the gaps.

    In my game it just took 4 lords, Valdis and me to take on Marius on his own (he had about 400 men) those guardian knights destroyed us in the first round but in the second round when he had almost no cavalry the tables were turned.

    I hate those bloody guardian knights.

    There is also a Fierdsvain lord who runs around with a lot of Vanskerry Jarls in his party, always a pain to fight.
