Umm-hmm. I made a huge fortune off-of saving my game before entering Nord territory (as a Swadian mercenary) and looting the nearest village.

Speaking of the attacker's artillery, I've been unfortunate enough to be hit (and K.O.'ed) by my own Swadian Fire arty in a castle siege. If only they knew not to shoot at enemies anywhere, and only to shoot at enemies that are a reasonable distance from me, so I wouldn't have to set them on hold-fire for the entire time I'm on the walls (generally about 2/3 of the entire battle).

Awesome mod! I recall saying to myself a few days back (due to your inclusion of the player Kingdoms) "Man, I'm glad I found this mod!!".


P.S. Highlander, using Item Editor, I tried to make some super-armor to counter the artillery. Works O.K. for Swadian Fire/Tar & Pitch, but standard rocks don't care what I'm wearing. Did you set the damage uber high, or does it inflict damage several times as it 'passes' (through) you?

Not exactly. That is when I believe they became relatively common standard-issue weapons. However, the British had riflemen in the Napoleonic Wars. Also, if I'm correct, the British formed their rifle troops due to their rather unpleasant experience with American riflemen. I'm not sure, though.

Same here. It's especially important to wear heavy armor if you're going to be an archer. With no shield (except on your back) you have to rely on your armor 100%.

Cavalry? Then again, I guess you can dodge 'em to the side and give them a good whack. Still, it's hard to outrun cavalry.

Certainly not me, I can tell you that! Regardless of me beating about a half-dozen Swadian Men-At-Arms while at half health and wearing a leather jerkin, I don't think I'd be a match for any good player.

Indeed. A bolt (or 'quarrel') is a shortened arrow for crossbows. If you tried to shoot a bolt w/ a regular bow, it would either get stuck behind your bow, or it would fly off to one side, as it wouldn't be steadied by it resting on the bow stave.

Sounds like a great idea, 95Rifles. I liked Thief 3, and your mod sounds like the same genre (infiltration/stealth).
