Need More Info d3d_device_context_->Map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture Failed! Last Executed Marker: GBuffer Passes / RC: Main_map / Deferred Meshes

Please make sure that your GPU drivers and OS is up to date. If you are up to date you can try expanding the swap size on your hard disk. You can find more info regarding this here. If you are still experiencing the crashes you can also try enabling Vsync in the game settings.
Thanks for the reply - GPU and OS versions are the latest; VSYNC is on; I have played with the pagefile and put it to multiple settings from 1.5-10x's my physical RAM size and restarted my computer between each setting and the issue still persists. Either the game hard-freezes my entire computer and has to be manually switched off/on, or it gives me the same "d3d" error as shown above, asks if I would like for it to collect the information to upload and when I click yes, it just closes and generates nothing.

Need More Info The background gets smeared across the screen during "talk screens" and other graphical oddities

It looks like something went wrong with the backgrounds. We can try deleting shaders. To do that:
That fixed the smearing, thank you!
However, now I have another possible problem. The backgrounds are very pixelated.
I don't know if this is a problem or not since I haven't seen the actual backgrounds in a LONG time, but with all of the settings maxed out I kind of assumed they wouldn't be pixelated.

Need More Info d3d_device_context_->Map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture Failed! Last Executed Marker: GBuffer Passes / RC: Main_map / Deferred Meshes

Summary: At a random point in the game my PC will either hard-freeze and have to be turned off/on manually - or - this error will pop up and crash everything running that's using my GPU. It does NOT generate a crash-log. In fact, it asks me if I would like for it to collect data to upload and...

Need More Info The background gets smeared across the screen during "talk screens" and other graphical oddities

If it helps, I've only reinstalled the game today and started playing again after a few months; the older game-build AND GPU drivers still had the exact same issue.

Need More Info The background gets smeared across the screen during "talk screens" and other graphical oddities

Summary: The background will 'smear' across the screen and wherever the character moves will leave a trail of blurred texture. This happens when: 1. Selecting the "talk" option on anyone in the town panel (not when in-town, but on the POI bar at the top when at a town as shown in-video) 2. When...

Resolved GPU Crashing "d3d_device_context->map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture Failed!" randomly in both large and small battles

Same crash again from exact same circumstances. I was already halfway through a battle, hit F1 for the umpteenth time and bam, CTD with this message.

Resolved GPU Crashing "d3d_device_context->map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture Failed!" randomly in both large and small battles

When I get this crash it doesn't generate a crash log - I stated that in my first post. I just now got to play the game again since my last post (that's what took me so long to reply, sorry) but I did just get the same crash, however, I think I finally realize what exactly I did to cause the crash.
I was in a battle, a larger one (4xx v 4xx) and it was going fine until the infantry met, then I hit F1 (I had already issued orders several times before, but hitting it this time is exactly when it crashed) and it CTD's, gives me this popup:

    "d3d_device_context->map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture
    Failed!
The GPU device instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemovedReason
    to determine the appropriate action."

Then asks if I would like to collect the information or whatever needed to send a report, I click yes, it asks if I would like to always ignore this issue, I clicked "cancel" rather than "yes" and it all went away. No crash file and nothing saved to my clipboard.

But if it still matters at this point,

Resolved GPU Crashing "d3d_device_context->map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture Failed!" randomly in both large and small battles

Hi! Could you please make sure that your drivers and OS are up to date. After making sure that everything is up to date please verify the game files and try to reproduce the problem. If the problem persists please let me know.
I'm sorry, I should've included that information in the original post - Windows is up to date, I downloaded the newest NVIDIA driver yesterday as part of my "every combination" trials, and verifying my files gives a "All files successfully validated," message. I have also completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but the issue still persists.
Edit: I 'clean' installed the NVIDIA drivers.

"d3d_device_context->map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture Failed! The GPU device instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemovedReason to determine the appropriate action. ^That along with other variations all pertaining to the graphics card crashing. Sometimes I can do a full massive siege...
