  1. A Week Away From Launch - The Game Still Feels Very Empty

Yeah, I am also really keen that they expand stuff outside of battles, especially families, characters and peacetime mechanics. Sorely needed to make a proper RPG/strategy game of this caliber and style.
  2. Will TW do a No Mans Sky thing?

Just give me dialogues and Ill be a happy man. Let me ask nobles of other kingdoms how their wars are going (so they tell me if they are losing or winning, so I can decide to declare war or not), let me pay influence to an army leader to besiege a castle/city that is a smarter choice. Let me court ladies and duel lords. Thats all this game needs. Something to do other than battles.
So much this. Game is good, but it would be amazing with some court politics a la Cursader Kings.
  3. Beta Patch Notes e1.8.0

idea is that battania is the oldest empire still standing, and their towns and stoneworks are remants of the past and some towns are build on and amongst the ruins, while castles are much easier to build most of them are fresh settlements and few of them are earthen ramps at low wall levels.

I had the same feeling when visiting Battania, which is why I for one find their cities and entire estetic amazing. I actually like the large rocky castles contrasting with the more downbeat villages, castles and workshops.
  4. 1.8.0 Player feedback thread

Many nice improvements, I have to say. The game seems to be slowly heading towards completion, but there are a few issues still lacking:
    - diplomacy can still be beefed up, and perhaps better linked with intermarriage mechanics
    - character interactions (a.t.m. you cannot even interact with your wife beyond "hello husband")
    - more peacetime mechanics/activities/kingdom management (not necessarily feasts, but maybe stuff like Royal Council once in a blue moon)
  5. Is this Patch 1.7.0 the final version of the game?

A common thread in dev posts is that many aspects of the simulation only appear barebones because very little info about them is presented to the player. But the complexity is somewhat visible from the sensitivity of the economy and notables to seemingly minor patch tweaks.
I would still love me some court politics. Battles are nice, but after a while they feel tedious. And this game has long campaigns.
  6. Is this Patch 1.7.0 the final version of the game?

I dunno, I feel that non-war mechanics remain somewhat barebones, except perhaps trade.
  7. Future Plans

Amazing additions, I have to say. One thing I feel is missing a bit is "life at court" additions such as perhaps feasts, intrigue and things like this. It would give nice additional flavour to the peace time periods and maybe enhance the strategies players could adopt in forging a kingdom.
  8. Beta Patch Notes e1.6.1

Love the changes, scenes and additions. The game looks more polished by the day. Though I now get a bit of stuttering on the campaign map, which I did not with 1.6.
  9. How many of us even still have Bannerlord installed?

Many, I suppose. The Steam charts even show a rise in player numbers over the summer.

I for one have it and play from time to time. I am in this "confusion loop" where I alternatively play this and CK3, with each being early in development and each only partially scratching my itch for medieval lore.
  10. Beta Patch Notes e1.5.10

Just noticed something really cool. Looks like they've finally added flying birds. Saw some in Jalmarys. It really adds to the immersion. Hope they add some on some of the battlemaps. Nice one TW.
And cats. Not sure if new, but I noticed one and I ran as I approached. Aaaw.
  11. Beta Patch Notes e1.5.10

I tried an hour or so of the new patch. OMG, I love the added immersion features. The new campaign video is superb, and some of the new town scenes are so bustling and nice, and the sound (while still transitioning abruptly here and there) is gorgeous. Love it.
  12. I can’t wait to build my village into a castle

Oh come on. This feature would have been difficult to balance and would have cluttered the map.
  13. Beta Patch Notes e1.5.10

This is massive. Maybe the biggest patch yet? Thank you!
  14. Patch Notes e1.5.9

Please TW, I don't get it. What is so complicated about letting us know, which new content the next patch will have and what the difficulties are?
This would create so much more understanding. Just give a weekly update on the next features, You are working on.

I think they strongly hinted that it will be the map rework, new Empire and Vlandia town and castle scenes and a few others.
  15. Beta Patch Notes e1.5.8

I would imagine performance impact would be 100% at 600 and go above 100% after very high but in the end I would argue introducing another metric like "performance impact%" would complicate things even more.

I see adding one or more divisions between 600 and 1000 as the best in between solution.
I second this. The gap between 600 and 1000 is quite big. I usually played with a limit of 800, which is now no longer available. Maybe set the limits at 400, 600, 800 and 1000?
  16. Beta Patch Notes e1.5.8

Decent improvements, I like it. But textures are not loading properly. I got it with sturgian houses and imperial taverns so far, but I take it that it happens in other contexts too. Also the names for characters when loading a new campaign seem mixed up. I got Bathanian default names when selecting an Imperial character.
  17. Which Faction Needs the Most Love and Work?

I like the Empire being one culture, in fact I think they are missing more elements of commonality. For example: which is the capital of the Empire? Which of the three factions is holding it? Surely this would be hugely important symbol-wise, and the holder would be in some ways the "legitimate" emperor at the beginning of the game. If it changes hands, the holder can claim to be the legitimate Emperor instead.
What they could do for differentiation is maybe separate troops a bit, like add 1-2 distinct units, especially towards the higher tiers.
  18. Resolved [1.52] Sturgian coastal city scenes changed to inland

This issue has carried over through all versions until 1.56, including it. I get that villages often have poor localization (e.g. inland villages being on a sea/lake-side), but the fact that ALL Sturgian cities use just the forest scene is immersion-breaking IMO.
  19. Did Sturgian city scenes get mixed up in 1.52?

Yes, wonder why they are not fixing it, it is probably not that difficult a change. Were the old scenes broken or something? They seemed fine.
  20. Resolved [1.52] Sturgian coastal city scenes changed to inland

Omor and other coastal cities had sprawling and beautiful city scenes before 1.52, including a harbour and a wall segment overseeing the harbor. After 1.52, all Sturgian cities seem to use the forest, flatland scene for Sturgian cities, regardless of where they are situated.
