You're taking particular cases to justify something general. Those exemples are very particular units. In the game every unit with spear on an horse hold it with two hands and at max speed ! Which is unrealistic.
Many cultures throughout history used two handed weapons on horseback, be they spears, flails, maces, or glaives. Admittedly it was more common among east asian cultures from my research but still prevalent enough to make artistic depicitons at the timein western cultures too.
It is important we recognise the difference too between Lance, I would agree that they are *not* two handed however spears couldmost certainly be so, although I would suggest perhaps the possibility of shorter spears that can be combo with sheilds and the longer spears were two handed.
