  1. Dev Blog 18/07/19

This looks pretty cool, I guess that some might think that the tiering system is too linear, but I would view it as a way that the game responds more to your actions, rather than simply "I know your name, and I imagine many a  widow does too."

    Thank you, Callum, very cool!
  2. Lots of Encyclopedia Info

Also, skip to 1:30 for a view of the whole map (it is upside down)
  3. Lots of Encyclopedia Info

This is not my video, but Bladecast TV clearly knew what they were doing, and went through pages of the encyclopedia as well as other bits of the game that show us lots about it that may not be made clear simply by playing it normally. Skip to 17:00 for encyclopedia stuff. Skip to 24:35 for...
  4. Which castles are in dispute between the factions

If you recruit troops from Ismirala's village, will they be Nord or Vaegir troops though? Because that would be a good way to show it.
  5. Troops that don't change appearance in every battle

Since companions will die now, it will scratch that itch for you.

"Jeremus, wake up! Jeremus! What's wrong? Please, Jeremus!"

That dock next to Ostican does look... interesting. Although I think that it would be cool, I would not be disappointed if naval battles were not added, as Calradia is fine without them, but the addition of all these internal seas and lakes does make me wonder...
  7. Dual Wielding?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJBEDxh0RQw

Surprised that this hasn't come up yet. I associate dual wielding with Skyrim. I associate a fully functional feudal economy with M & B.
  8. Historical DLC sometime after Bannerlord gets relased ?

I would want to see a Crusades DLC, limited perhaps at the toe of Italy in the west, northern Greece in the North, the start of the Upper Nile in the south, and maybe the edge of modern day Iraq in the east? You could have byzantines, italians, persians, seljuks, arabs, egyptians, even a thing where you speak to someone in a town who sends for troops/lords from overseas, so you could have a crusader state emerge just like if you have a claimant in Warband, except that claimant is Richard the Lionheart.

    Just an idea...
  9. So ring forts.

Pretty much, hillforts (or oppida in Latin) were defensive settlements built by the Iron Age Celts in Gaul and Britain. They were not usually a permanent place of large habitation (as they probably are in Bannerlord) but would usually have fewer than 60 families living there, and would be more centres of industry than habitation. However, in times of danger, a tribe, or even a part of a tribe, may seek refuge in a local hillfort, where they will stay until danger has passed. As said before, they do use geographical location for defense, which makes them seem poorer, but does tend to make assaults difficult, especially as the Celts defending would be able to bombard a climbing force with sling stones and arrows. In Bannerlord, they have stone buildings in the screenshots, so I guess that it is a more advanced version of a hillfort which will probably also be a city.
  10. Village upgrades.

In one of the gameplay videos they showed that you could station troops at an allied lord's town, so it would at least be cool if the lords could put some low level troops in the frontier villages, so that if a village does come under attack, it would be from a determined force at least, and not just a few plebs.
  11. Elephants

What you could have is someone either in the Khuzait lands or somewhere in the Aserai desert, and you know, it could be a kinda sketchy person with decent stats, but perhaps not someone you want in your party, but if you get to know them, they could help you out by getting you some help "from a distant land" and this will be expensive, so unless you either have cash to spare or know what is going on, you will probably say no way, but then if you do, in a few weeks or so, you can get 2 or 3 war elephants, which will be total tanks on the field.
  12. What do you want to do first in your first Bannerlord playthrough?

I will probably just be a traveler for my first playthrough, and wear a hood and probably not have too high level troops. I will perhaps get to know some nobility, and who knows, maybe I will help someone out!
  13. Races and Factions

I always found this kind of annoying in Warband, and hopefully it will be changed in Bannerlord: You may notice that the lords of a faction will have appearances which are all relevant to the race that we presume is the dominant one of that faction, for example, the Khergit lords usually have...
  14. Bannerlord is its own enemy

As in Warband with the different types of lords, there are different types of Bannerlord expectors. Those who deride Taleworlds and troll the subreddits and fora are the dishonourable type. Then the circumstancial types are those who were enthusiastic but by now have no loyalty left to Taleworlds and encourage others to quit as well. The martial lords are the ones who check the Dev Blog every now and then and are excited, but do not spend much time on the fora. Then the honourable lords are the ones who check the dev blog and fora regularly and remain loyal to Taleworlds!
  15. Small features I'd like

A new feature which I would really like to see is getting a companion, or maybe just a lieutenant, to carry out a military task for you. It would be great if you could send Lezalit out with 100 infantrymen to capture the weakly garrisoned Reindi Castle, or raid the village of Jamiche. You could also maybe send out a Slave Crusher with 20 light cav to guard the pass of Jameyyed Castle.
  16. Dev Blog 02/08/18

Personally, I think that we should stop slandering the Dev Blog, as even though some of you think that it is useless, for me it is keeping up the hype! My excitement every Thursday when I go to see a camel, a castle, or all the types of clothing is immeasurable. Unless you are either really old of have some kind of disease that will kill you soon, Bannerlord will come out during your lifetime! That is an encouraging thought. I will patiently wait for the game, and I very much appreciate the Dev Blogs.
