Just following up about my last question in case it was missed. I understand that a simple render of a 3D model would be a no-go. But would using 3d models and renders mixed with digital painting to create a 2d arteork be allowed. Similar to the techniques used in the artwork below:

No not just a basic render of a 3D model. More like using 3d elements (character, props etc.) in the process of making a complete scene and perhaps with paintover at the end. Similar to a lot of the concept art for games and film out there. Would that be allowed?

A few examples of what I mean:

Question about the 2D art contest. If we are doing it digitally, are we allowed to use 3D elements as long as the final product is a 2D image? Or does it have to be completely 2D only (like only using photoshop for example)?
