    Patch Notes e1.0.4

    • More than 200 items reintroduced to the game.
    • Armor values and prices overhauled.
    • Production of weapons and armors in towns tweaked.
    • Aserai’s basic troop was Aserai Tribesman, however, it should be Aserai Recruit. This is fixed.

    Some stuff was missed. People are reporting chainmail armor for 300k, basic hauberks in Vlandia for 15k, 80k decorated hauberks in Sturgia. Hoping the prices are fixed in tomorrows patch because it's kinda disheartening. Same with the bows and crossbows. (Although I won't be surprised if there isn't a patch tomorrow, you guys are working hard and it's a weekend.)

    it is probably cuz they forgot to change these settings when switching from beta to EA. Glad it is found out and should just be a simple fix for TW.

    It could also be a pricing issue. I've found some armor with duplicate models, and some that are extremely overpriced and undepriced. The chainmail with surcoat is like... 16k for 40 torso armor or something.

    A good tip too is to go into notepad++, type in the string in control+f, then do replace all by replacing it with a space. So it deletes itself and you don't need to go through 262 times finding it and pressing backspace.

    It's also a problem where lords will start defecting, making it impossible to form a defense because you'll slowly lose major vassals and cities without even a siege. Along with the fact you can't call the ruler into your army, and every other army is below that "40%" so it's impossible to retake a castle unless you solo it or another lord calls an army and THEN takes it. Which has a good chance of not happening since the deathstack of 15 lords with full armies will come to stop you, and you can't do anything about it. Wars seem to be decided on who kills the other sides deathstack first, which can make an interesting battle, but not an interesting war. It is a bit slow for the AI to remake and rebuild their armies, since they're resigned to the same fate of chasing looters to level up their recruits.

    I like the idea of the AI playing by the exact same player rules, BUT, they need something to stimulate their income so they're not landless dweebs who raise 4 peasants and then get captured by bandits.

    Explaining some misconceptions.

    Ok so I'm seeing a lot of "false" statements right now in the threads, which is probably a source of people not playing long enough.

    1: "THERE'S NO ARMORS WHAT IS THIS GJASGJASKGJASGA"
    There are armors, many of them, and you can buy every faction armor, you just don't unlock higher tiers till later on. Unsure if it's to do with your clan rank or in-game days, I think rank. But when I hit rank 2 I was able to buy faction armors easily enough.

    I really hope this is changed. If I get a lot of money I don't want to sit on it. I want to buy things. I want to buy chainmail and lamellar armor if i'm a Sturgian vassal, I don't want to be stuck with basic stuff until I grind all the way to level 3 or level 4 clan. Especially since notable quests don't give renown.

    Defecting lords en masse - A problem

    I think in the games current state, it is way too easy for lords to decide '**** it' and defect. They'll take their fiefs, their entire army, everything, and leave. It's very annoying when you're trying to mount a defense and you have 4 clans, two with major cities, and two with castles, defect...

    I am not a fan of the current knight design nor your early norman helmet design as well. While there are some better alternatives like enclosed helmets(primitive great helms).

    Those helmets predecessor of great helm, used in the late 12th century among nobility.

    While there are other variation without faceplate, commonly used among squires and sergeants are those pot helms(I presented in the post above)

    I believe these are helmets in the game currently for the Sergeants. Do you think Sergeants and Knights should share helmets, or should Sergeants get a different helmet and the enclosed helmet should be knight only?

    Early Access Information

    Is it really annoying that it doesn't say what you can do? This game is HUGE in aspects of gameplay and content... so it would be extremely hard for them to write page after page about things you cant do, dont you think? Also I would like to find out myself what I CAN and CANT do in the game as I play it :razz:

    Marriage is confirmed and so is perma death. They can both be enabled/disabled with mods or by yourself if you know basic coding (which most people don't but be sure that mods will be available that lets you choose your own options). Who knows perhaps even taleworlds might throw in a little something in the native/vanilla game that allows you to disable/enable permadeath :wink:

    What do you mean with "what I can expect to miss besides forming my own kingdom" ? If I assume correctly you mean things that wont be available on early access? In that case, that is pretty much it, creating your own kingdom and perhaps the diplomacy wont be 100% complete, other than that everything else is available (with bugs ofc) and also some or maybe most scenes will be the same for a while and get slowly replaced.

    And if you wish to know more info in "some aspects of sieges, and clan, army and kingdom management." all that will be available with the game with a thing called "Tutorial" just like any other game :razz:

    A lot of people want to know how to play the game before it's even out which I dont understand? You are supposed to play the game in order to learn how to play :smile:

    Well, I already have played the MP aspect of the game. I have beta access. I was asking what other features could be missing from the SP when I start up my first campaign. You're kinda condescending, you know that? There are features advertised in the full game that might be missing in EA, and all I want to know is what is missing in the current state. You made a lot of assumptions on what I was saying, because in other threads it's been claimed that callum said Marriage and permadeath wouldn't be in the EA so I was trying to find clarification.

And it doesn't confirm if marriage, permadeath, and things like that are removed or kept. I do want to know what I can expect to miss besides forming my own kingdom (which I never did in Warband, oddly enough) and "some aspects of sieges, and clan, army and kingdom management."

    But that annoyance is quickly overshadowed by the hype of everything else and an early release! I'm so excited. I'll go to bed on the 29th, and wake up early just to buy and install Bannerlord.

    Simple solution, wait a week or something, watch a few streams, then you can decide whether to buy or not, the 10/20% off will be in effect for the first 2 weeks of sale

    Oh no, I'm buying the game anyways. I'm just a little disappointed it's a bit vague right now.

    M&B Bannerlord Beta Crashing.

    Been getting the same issue. I think the most recent NVIDIA driver has a problem in it. Hopefully NVIDIA pushes out a new driver soon.

    It also might be related to Dynamic shadows, because when I have that on, it crashes. But when I had them off, I did not get this crash before.

    Singleplayer does have AI commanders for your armies, you can delegate your forces to be lead by unit commanders.

    I hope diplomacy in the base game is much more in depth. But push comes to shove, you can plug and play a mod into any overhaul or the base game. I'm personally hoping diplomacy relating to joining a lord army, and becoming a valued ally and soldier of his as an officer. Would be great for roleplay opportunities.

    And i'm sure a more balanced army will be encouraged, I don't know how exactly they could change it for balance. I remember a rumor that you'd need to buy horses to supply your cavalry, but that might not be a thing anymore.

    I feel like you have't read up on much of the game development. TW has went out of their way multiple times to express that they never intend to have a troop deployment mode similar to the Total War games, because Bannerlord is fundamentally an RPG.

    ....So there is no troop deployment option, no ambush mechanics...what's actually better about bannerlord single player experience compared to warband then expect graphics obviously? I'm getting real skeptical here.

    Yeah, the only thing relating to troop deployment is in sieges, which makes more sense imo.

    I've heard from some people on the forums that it was removed because the developers couldn't make it fun for the player. To answer the OP though, there's really no idea. Although from the troop trees I've seen... They don't have archers in their normal tree, they're nobles I guess? We'll really have to see when singleplayer comes out to see how they perform.

    I have played bannerlord beta 500+ hours in East Asia server and don't see anybody chat in the game.
    But today I saw this image by my friends. Unfortunately, he forgot where the picture came from.

    For some reason files of version 0.5.3 are messed up. I recommend downloading the version 0.5.2 and arranging 0.5.3 files like it.

    Ah ok. Should I be merging/replacing the mpclassdivisions.xml or is there something else I should be doing?

    I have been trying and trying but every time i launch no matter what i do I always get application crash on first loading screen I can't even make it to main menu any ideas would mean a ton thank you for your time :grin:

    I'm getting the same issue. Just thought I'd put that out there so people can know that's not an isolated incident.
