Yeah, actually. 60-70$ is ridiculous for a game, be it on PC or console.

If anything, they should be progressively cheaper. 30$ is still quite some money.

Who judges that? You know, if I knew I was getting one good game for that much, I'd pay the money. I buy many games in bundles and on sale, but many of them aren't very good.
60 USD is a lot of money for me, roughly two weeks of food. (or half my rent)
Still, if I knew the game was good and that I'd sink some 30-50 hours into it, I'd happily pay that. Heck, I bought my first game ever, NHL 1997, for 75 USD (which used to be more than it is now of course). I saved up, for a few months. And then I spent at least a year playing it constantly. Money well spent, if you ask me.

Why should games get cheaper? They ARE becoming more and more costly to make. I realize the gaming market is probably growing and there's more of an audience to reach. Still, gaming studios aren't exactly swimming in profits, you have to stick to a rigid formula and flood the development in money to make a maybe-hit.

I would happily pay $80 for a game if i knew it was what i wanted. Cause it seems ill spend $100 on a bunch of different games  and none of them keep me interested so i just buy more and more cheap games. ultimately leading to more money spent, and less actual play time. and less enjoyment.

Shoulder straps and things of that sort would be really usefull. They should also make it so your weapons can drop or get knocked out of your hands. And then you could Pull out your emergency daggers or shortsword.

Im not an expert. Just someone who likes history a lot. And why would you want me to stop? The point of life is to share and learn new ideas and opinions with each other so we can expand our minds with knowledge and reason. If you go around suppressing people just cause they have knowledge and want to share it, than your just making yourself stupid, and contributing to the fall and ignorance of humanity. You make it seem like your a Douche. Please stop.

-Permanent death (if you don't surrender fast enough) would be a nice feature for, let's say, "Hardcore mode" , i can only sympethise with that idea.
Maybe something like that could even be integrated in some kind of small multiplayer-progression/ladder mode, where equipment can be earned, but death means loosing all.

-New MP-modes would be nice too. Like a "Gungame-Battle" where you spawn every round you killed an enemy, with a better weapon, with the goal to be the first to kick someone to death (which would be the last level, to win the mode and than mapchange). Not authentic, but surely something to attract the masses... Or a tournament mode with randomgenerated duell-partners in arenas.

    - Hacking your enemies bodyparts away is a nice idea but would lead to a higher age-rating. See Chivalry with the PEGI of 18.
So, from a sales-viewpoint, it's quite a bad idea (but i trust in the modding community ) And there is the decision Gore vs. Battlesize. Hacked bodyparts must use some kind of physix = cpu usage. I'd rather prefere 200 more fighers in the field for the performance down, than seeing arms and legs fly... well... mostly... in the long run... after beeing very sadistic for a while.

Yeah, i can hardly have 200 people on the field as it is. Arms and legs everywhere could cause performance issues. Though once i get a good graphics card. I'd like to have it. But Your probably right, with the levels of gore could cause it to have it to have higher rating. Not that other games haven't had dismemberment, but in M&B it might be excessive for some people when theres 200 dismembered limbs and chunks lying on the ground. But they should still have it included. Just have a Gore Slider in the option menu like other games do. And then people could simply mod the slider to go higher.      Cause thats how medieval battles were, extremely gorey, painful, bloody (definitely needs MORE BLOOD), and horrifying situations. Lots of screaming and agony. And imagine that smell... All those unbathed sweaty soldiers, and most people crap themselves when they die.  Its not a fun place like the movies make it seem.

How many of you think it hurts when you get a papercut? Now imagine a papercut times 10000, getting hit with a sword causes a lot of damage, and extreme amounts of blood. Even wearing armor it would still be like getting hit with a baseball bat.

    -Flail!

-Permanent death and specific personalities with all the lords. In medieval times Lords, landowners, nobles, and Knights all had a lot of influence and power.

-Environments should change. there should be corruption and religion involved. An ACTUAL STORY LINE that changes dependent on death, trade, and politics. And the personal decisions of the kings and lords.

-Emphasize on RELIGION. Religion was the cause for most wars back then. Yet M&B doesn't have any religion at all. Did they forget about the Crusades?

-If you kill someone Their Family should hold a grudge against you. Challenge you to jousts, hunt you down, burn your villages, etc...

The problem with that is that, if you're playing on the, "realistic," save option, you misclick and have made an enemy of the whole town for life. Like I do in Skyrim.

Also, I love your signature, Ron. That's the one episode of Rugratz I can remember.

Well that's realistic. i remember just last week i was at a bar, just watching the TV. Then some guy accidentally pulled out a sword and hit some guy in the face. he was trying to talk to the person, but forgot what button it was.

    This is what i want:

walk into a tavern, see people sitting and drinking and laughing and singing and maybe fighting

And then i stab someone (everyone in the tavern and everywhere else too should be killable) and then everyone goes crazy and reacts to it

    Yes

Yeah, NPC's should be fully intractable. You could drink with them, and maybe learn interesting things from drunk people. or just scam them, rob them, get in fist fights, etc... and The guards could have a purpose. I.E. (stopping tavern stabbings.) But the laws should be different dependent on what kingdom your in.

"Development of this kind is incremental and behaviours need to be gradually corrected and improved over time, to include new actions. An example of this is ambushing. The mechanic and gameplay of ambushing itself needs to be developed but for a real implementation into the game, the AI needs to be programmed to make sure that lord and bandit parties also make use of ambushing in realistic ways. This adds extra layers to the development of a non-linear game like Mount&Blade, obviously creating complications but a necessary part of creating the games that we want to create and our players enjoy."

    From third blog entry.

And a sneaking system should be built. with the A.I. being able to sneak well, not like skyrims stupid crouch sneaking. But something more realistic, with ducking, hiding, leaves cover, hugging walls, dust, etc... something that could be used for ambushes, so you could hide until the right moment before springing your traps (Also add traps) and the enemy would be unarmed and unprepared.

Id just like to see it all in one battle, that would be cool. Win the wall, lead your troops down to the keep, win that win the castle

There should be multiple buildings including the main keep. all seamless integration into one battle. and you could kick in doors and destroy buildings with catapults. Along with all the walls being breakable.

Please make sieging castles WAY more interesting, varied, and controllable!  That's the one bit I didn't like about the first series, especially with the predetermined siege weapons (especially as ladders suck).

Maybe also make all the siege weapons have to be placed during the battle instead of the ladders already being set up.

I agree. id rather have a my troops have to put up the ladders than just have them already there. it should be like the battle of helms deep, when the orcs were raising the ladders and the people on the wall could push them down. I think the castle battles should be fully customizable, on both sides. there should be a pre-battle mode where you choose where to have your people and siege equipment start. and set up the basic plan of attack, and it would tell you how long it will take for everything to be prepared. (It takes more time to build bigger/more equipment) Then in the actual battle your people have to physically use the equipment. and put up the ladders.

Sulfur spitting whales reminded me of a more importants matter than duel-wielding. Siege weaponry and better castle invasion/defense gameplay. I hate how when you invade a castle, all your troops go one by one up the same stupid "ladder" and and both sides are just buttfu*ked into one tiny area where no one can hit or see anything. Its ruin the immersion and the excitement of it. You should be able to use catapults, trebuchets, sulfur whales, battering rams, etc..

Im pretty sure They did follow you. but its been so long since i played the original, or even since i played vanilla warband. So its hard for me to remember what was in the original.

And wooden tonfas could be low class weapons, metal and bladed tonfas would be a little higher. If they could figure it out they would be excellent defensive weapons, it would be easier to block and maneuver with them. but they would have lower attack strength. as with any weapon, it has its disadvantages, mainly length and power. but its ability to block makes it useful.

although i like that sulfur spraying idea, they should add those. maybe giant acid spitting insect/horses too.

The fact is that it takes a lot of work to implement dual wielding, and even more to make the ai use it. This is a huge workload for something that is:
    a) Popular among only about one third to half of the community
    b) Not historically accurate
    c) Will not benefit someone except in one-one duels

So, if someone were to just give them all the resources needed for duel wielding, (including the ai coding) then I'm sure they would include it. But, considering the questionable benefits for a huge workload, I would say that they will not include dual wielding, and they would be right not to. Even once they've polished Bannerlord to an extreme, (which it probably won't be anyway) their time would be better spent on new quests, gameplay, and other features than dual wielding. This is why they won't, and shouldn't include duel wielding.
+1 i rather have quests other than "fetch 10 cattle" than have duel wielding by farrrrrr

Oh god, i hate those freaking cattle missions. especially when you ask to buy some cattle and they say "we have 67 cattle for 198 gold each." Then you ask them what they need and now they have none. And as king you should be able to hire people to drive the cattle for you.

i dont know were the tonfas originated from, Asia i presume?
Hook swords, from Asia, witch represents no faction in calradia atm
and katars, like sarranid infantry needs to be more handy capped by getting a knife.
I cant think of any troops that wielded duel weapons and are represented in calradia, aside from berserkers, and really they only got drugged up and killed a bunch of priests before they ran into a spear.

...Are Kerghits not asian enough for you?

And katars can be very effective. Otherwise they wouldn't have been used as actual weapons...
They just need to give them a speed boost. what i didnt like about M&B was all the weapons were pretty much the same speed. a small knife would have a speed of 108, and a great sword would have a speed of 99? whats the point?

Here are the only acceptable duel wields that i think would work. could possibly be categorized a two-handed weapon and just have different animations and stuff? that might help reduce all the trouble of coding and whatnot.

Alright, so after about 5 minutes i still cant figure out how too post a picture... still kinda new to forums... so you can look them up on the internet, which you are currently using.

    Hook swords.

Tonfas - bladed and non bladed versions could be added.

And Katars  - wicked punching spikes that would be perfect for Sarranids. As it was a common middle eastern weapon.

(anyone who has played Feudalism would know where my love for Katars comes from.)
