    Find load_mod_resource = Lods_a and replace by #load_mod_resource = Lods_a

    Lods are models with much less faces and are rendered for any equipment if the distance is large. Somehow there's a problem with this file, dunno what, but you can temporarily disable it by following above instruction. This will probably melt your pc as lods are used to reduce graphical burden.

    Steam is reuploaded with above hotfix, ModdB is starting now.

    Thats fixed it.  Just played a 200v 200 battle  and no noticeable  performance  drop either.


    One other bug is my ship has disembarked right on top of a village  and i can not select the ship....

    Update- Every time I try to enter a battle it crashes still. Can you not fight the Merchant Faction? I really wanna play this mod but it crashes for some odd reason which is upsetting. No other mods crash for me like this. It shouldn't be a PC issue because I have really good specs.

    I also have reinstalled the mod. Got a run time error for the first time too.

    I too am experiencing a decent amount of crashing when I choose to enter battle.  It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough where it's getting aggravating.  More often than not I experience this when trying to enter battle with Cathars.
    Does it help when you lower your graphical settings?

    EDIT 1) Hey Quintillius.....you remember the "greater news" I had with the lumber gathering...it's back.  Infinite sawing is still with us!  :party:

    Same problem with crashing but with the Aztecs.  I have a brand new PC too. Tried reducing grahics but to no effcet.

    Few ideas.

    I like the manor system of the 1256AD mod.
    Be nice to build your own manor amd settlment like the colonies. Maybe make it a extension  of the farm?

    The pre battle  deployment  option in other mods would be great.

    Most of the features you find in the original are being 're-imagined' for SoD:W, hopefully in ways that will be more stable, also there is a whole lot planned that isn't in the original.

    As for what is in the original:

    Edicts: When you setup your own kingdom, there are a lot of choices that you can make about how your kingdom runs, some that supprt villages over towns and vice versa, some that support peasants or nobles or clergy, all with their own plus and minus, plus a lot of other edicts like holy war and things.

    Mercenaries: You have Mercenary camps all over the map in SoD, these units are also in SoD:W, but the full merc system has not been adapted yet.

    Troop Upgrades: In SoD you cannot upgrade troops, unless a town has the right culture and buildings for the particular level up (this makes getting more troops a right pain early on :grin:)

    Invasion: this is obviously the big bit, where the imperial legion descend upon calradia to lay waste to it, unless ye the great hero can thwarteth them!

    There is probably a lot more that I have forgotten...

  14. SOD Warlords - Suggestions & Discussions Thread

    Been playing this mod for three years.

    My suggestions:
    Freelancer mod
    Better battle AI and options like the Floris mod
    More complex noble title structure like Barons/ Earls/Dukes ect
    More city, castle and fief building options
    I do like the manor system in the 1257  mod


    I cant stand the Roman faction, I know it likely wont go but just don't think it fits.

    Been playing the game 4 years and wasted nearly  half of that on this game.  If you had all these ideas I will be lost forever in the game  :grin:

    Main things I wanted added:

    1) Working siege engines
    2 Destructible caste wall and towers.
    3) In depth castle building.

    Add those things and Il be has happy as a pig in pooh!
