  1. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Developer Blog 12 - The Passage Of Time

So... aging system huh. Ok does that mean when your character dies of old age or in battle the game just ..ends!? Do you have to restart or you can continue with a successor or new character?
(if someone have more information or it was mentioned in previous comments, i cant read them all)
Its nice to have new mechanics but please dont make this a ''family simulator'' with timer on it.

Now that's a pleasant surprise. Awesome blog. Now i have something to stare at for another 5 months. After so many years of darkness now i can see kind of complete game.Good job TW.
Let's hope for official announcement sometimes in 2016.
  3. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Developer Blog 10 - Materialistic Approaches

Am i missing something? No release date announced on Gamescom..or approximate time period ''late 2016'' ''early 2017'''something like that. After the surprisingly complete gameplay footage that was quite disappointing.
The lack of sandbox medieval games on the market is really sad but whatever.... like CD Project RED says ''Coming...when its ready''

I saw a couple of gameplay footage in youtube and i'm actually impressed with the graphics. The combat system seem pretty much the same which is a good thing i guess. Also very familiar world map. Board games, siege equipment, o̶r̶b̶i̶t̶a̶l̶ ̶s̶t̶r̶i̶k̶e̶s̶ , weapon customisation all sorts of cool stuff. It will be absolutely epic if its released by the end of 2016(no big hopes). Anyways, great news and seems there is more to come.

5 years ago i was excited about the new M&B game. Then i started to lose hope from the apparent lack of progress and information.
Recently i heard about ''Kingdom Come: Deliverance'' and i suddenly lost my ability to give a single **** about M&B  . And the best thing is, it will be released in summer 2016. So hold on just a little more my medieval friends, there is hope after all.

Its ok to wait alot but when the information is so little and so lackluster and disappointing, for me that is sign that they have taken more than they can handle. As simple as that
Don't forget that they will be at Gamescom in August. I don't know what will be shown, but hopefully some new screenshots, or maybe a small video.
(I am also dying to see what the map will look like)

Hmm well that's kinda good news.
They better show some gameplay, not fake screenshots/concept art. One would think after 4 years of hard work they must have come up with at least 10 sec. stage demo in some small area.
Ive been thinking, If Taleworlds don't have enough resources why don't do a Kickstarter funding? So much ****ty ideas are backed up by millions. Im shure alot of people will give some gold to Bannerlord so we can actually play it before some of us die of old age.

Please Taleworlds, sell the franchise to a proper developer. Your incompetence is not worthy for such a good concept. Admit it, you just dont have the talent to make it adequately .Im shure some big developer will gladly take the idea and build on it.
No blogs or any info for such long periods is just ...lazy. Yeah  ''working hard'' is not an excuse when you are inefficient and don't produce anything with that hard work.
How many years we have to wait for a Warband with slightly better graphics?
How many hardware generations have to pass before you release your already outdated game.
I usually dont like to criticize such things but this is infuriating. Sell the licence to some competent developer!

First of all, the only honest worth of a franchise is what each game is actually like to play. A gamer should not want a franchise to be given to another developer, because the only worth to the new owner is that the franchise has a loyal fanbase. In other words, the new owner gets some guaranteed custom before they do anything- guaranteed custom that was garnered by the fine work of the original creator of the franchise.

Secondly, there is nothing to stop any other developer having a go at making a similar game- they don't need the M&B name rights to do so. Some vaguely similar games have been made and are in production, and so far none seem too hot. You also say Taleworlds don't have the talent to make it adequately....they already made the first two games, there literally can be no one more qualified to make another in the series, and indeed there are no other medieval action/rpg games with both single and multiplayer in the style of M&B.

Thirdly, you say no blogs for long periods is lazy. No, it is not lazy. That is a stupid idea. Clearly more blogs could be made, and the blog making employees wouldn't remain in work if they were being lazy, so it is obviously a management decision to blog infrequently. You say they are not producing anything with their hard work. There is evidence in their blogs that they have done a lot; but perhaps you see blogs themselves as an important part of a developer's work? They are not, they are luxuries that pander to the interest of the fans and a tool for advertising games that need funding, nothing more.

Fourthly, you say: ''How many years we have to wait for a Warband with slightly better graphics?'' I don't know. How far is it from Paris to Dakar? I don't know that either, and neither is relevant, because they are not remaking Warband with slightly better graphics, it is a much bigger leap from Warband than Warband was from M&B (they have made this clear many times from early in development). They began Bannerlord from scratch. Clearly if it was just Warband with better graphics then it would have been made by now.

Fifthly, what hardware generations? New hardware generations are most commonly associated with consoles, which lag behind PC. And what relevance could they have to a studio that has never been at the forefront of gaming technology and graphics anyway?

All your statements of course were quite blatantly disingenuous expressions of frustration, but unfortunately stupid ideas often get taken seriously by a few people if not shot down, and this annoys people like me.

''I usually dont like to criticize such things but this is infuriating.'' Yes, not getting a lot of info can be infuriating, but you come up with stupid conclusions because it suits your ego better to suggest that Taleworlds cannot make the game than it would to simply say you are desperate for more info. That's disingenuous of you.

    Ok sir Quotealot.
I'm just concerned that the game will never be released or if released, it will be way past current expectations and it will not be competitive with new games with similar mechanics like ''For honor''
Developers usually like to brag with their progress so i dont think its luxury to post blogs to give the fans some candy.
