Improving Troop Training and Leadership by making them more closely related to each other.

    + 1
Every one running around with 70% recruits feels so off.
The first time a got to run an army, it had 500+ soldiers in it. Then when i got into a battle, i was like why is this army 95% infantry, where i think around 5 units of each archer and cav. Then i looked at the battle formation, and all of them where recruits wealding hatches in linen cloths. There needs to ways for both you and the ai to quickly level up **** units.

What are your Quest ideers ?

So at the moment, i think we can all agree that the current missions in the game are kind of boring and quickly get samey. So let's see what new quest ideers we can come op with. Here are some of my ideers Burn warehouse [Gang member or Merchent] Attack a warehouse and burn it down, chance...

    Ambush stance

    Yes please
Good i'm tired of hunting looters for a day early game, when you have 20+ units. Just allow me to hide in heavy bandit territory, to ambush some of then. Also it would help getting some of the fast cocaine driven caravans and steppe riders.

Armor System Change: Maximum and Minimum Damage

That would be a bit wierd.
Then a spear on your plate armor, would give more or less max damage. So no power was stopped at all.
But i like the idea of difrenceating types of armor into shock absorbancy and blocking power.

Maybe just simplefie it i bit. Give them a shock value and a block value.

    PIERCE damage - (shock + block)/2
    CUT damage - block
    BLUNT damage - shock

    Normalizing Companion Spawns

I just had a really disappointing experience with a companin Badulf Barrelchest. He had a really cool background story, about him working at the dock in Charas with his brother, until a rivel gang killed his brother. And now he seeked training, to one day go back and killed the gang leader. I then went to that city, because i thought this is really cool, let's go kill this mother f*. But when i got there, there was no gang leader with the name he gave.

I to would really like them to not use auto generation, and instead have hand crafted ones, with stories and dialog you can interact with, which gives them some personality. At the moment, they just feel like faceless solders you can equip.

    3 new clan roles needed

Personally i would rather have them scarp the current role system. It feels weird, to get the aide in a skill from some one who is not necessarily in your party.

I would much rather have them go back to the old system of warband, where the one in your party with the highest skill is the one which will be used. This could even be units. So if you have a low trading skill, and higher one of those, currently useless, armed trades, you would be able to use their skills instead.

And then maybe unlock rules for when you own a castle/country, where it would be general, spy master and so forth. Where they had other purposes, such as training troops, gaining Intel on enemies and the like. And have missions you can give them, such as spymaster go get intel on this country, are their any lords who would like to repel, or coterie go tell negative rumors about this lord / try and make this lord like me more. General go recruit soldiers of the near by villages, stuff like that.

The current system to me just feels distance, and it is hard to really feel the effect of useing it. Like your compainins don't even start like you more/less for either be given or removed from a role

The armours are way too weak

Agree top tier enemy units, even their nobles, normally take only one more hit compared to low tier. They need to lower the HP of low tier units, and increase HP and armor for high tier. A looter can survive a tier 3 arrow to the head, and a lord can be killed with a few swings with a sword. Has nothing to do with "tactics" and being a "good warrior". It is about wanting to feel a difference when fighting a knight who has triad is hole life and fighting peasant, who had just grabbed what ever was near them, so quit your elitist arguments.

    Relation With Town NPCs (Recruitment)

One cheesy way i have found, is go to a town with many criminals. And just keep attacking one of them, then the other will lower you. You get like around +10 or something every time. But yeah they really need to add more missions for them, and ones that are not .. do something ilegal which with make every one hate you, exept one guy who might like you a little bit better.

Revamp of the Leveling Up System

This is my idea for revamping the leveling up system. At the moment it is kind of confusing, some skills are impossible to level up, companions never level up, and the traits often times makes no sens. Some of these problems will most likely be fixes with some balancing changes. But traits and...

    Dual wield!

It does not even matter if people did it or not, you can't control to weapons and movement with only a mouse and keyboard. So from just a technical stand point it is a No.

I would much rather see things like what Mppqlmd recommending. Pike walls, attacking while in shield wall, place tower shield down as cover. Mechanics that improve the current set of fighting styles.

Only "dual wealding" i can see work, would be one handed and throwing. With some button, desiding which your are using. Or the one which was added, where there where shield, which looked like swords.

    Hideouts -> siegable bandit forts

I would love to see hideouts becoming something which is upgraded. From a small hideout to small bandit fort. And have the bandit factions lead by characters which you can interact with. Also having the player being able to build their own hideout, there really is not much at the moment in regards playing a bandit. It would also be cool if when you defeat a camp, that you could take it over, or raise it to the ground. Right now it feels so anti climatic to beat the leader in the dual, you don't even get his tree followers as captives, they just disappear out of existence.

Also it should be possible to upgrade looters into different types of bandits

    Bannerlord SP First Reactions: Megathread

Most say am kind of disappointed so far, based on it is a game that has been in development for seven years.

    First the good
    * Grafics are amazing, the world looks so real and you guys did a great job.
    * Riding feels amazing
    * UI feels so smooth and modern
    * The living economy is pretty cool, love earning **** ton of cash because a city is starving.

Then there is the bad (Note that some of these might be wrong as i have only played 12 hours, and i play on realistic)
    * Lack of features from Warband and it's mods. You can be a freelancer, becoming a solder in a nobles army, you can't make ambushes, you can't set camp, can't have relations with factions if your not in one
    * The mission, own good the missions are almost worse then Warband. The search the village for hidden people, are so boring. The convince mini person on something "mini games" are just press the ones with the highest chance, until you have pressed them all. The train troops, is almost impossible, you can't find enough looters to kill with in that time, you with loosing any of the recruits. And you can't train them with you leadership, because it is almost impossible to level it up early game.
    * Feeling distanced from how i affect other people. Auto turning in quests, no response for wining or loosing tournaments from other participants, can't talk with my fellows expect for kicking them out and giving them roles. Not getting any thing, from having helped a noble fight bandits. Seemingly no new iteration possibilities from gaining good reputation with commoners. You don't get anything from asking people stuff, like the tavern keepers
    * The directional shield turning. When i fight with shield, he consistently turns his shield right and opens me op. Please allow me to turn it off, like i have never seen the ai use anything but front facing shield block. It might just be because the directions are to sensitive.
    * The leveling system is ... odd. Some skills seem impossible to level up in early game, such as leadership. And it completely destroy the progression of followers, as i have never seen any one of them ever go up a level, and 70% of them seem to only be high level fighters.
    * Shallow mechanics. I feel like many of the things you can do in the game as no depth (maybe except politic/kingdom running, have not done that yet). But for exsamle when i finally gathered 15000gold to get a workshop, and picked it's production. I was like is that it ?? no upgrades to buy, no special missions, the mod which that got it from even had more to do, such as choosing if you want them to auto buy and or sell resurese, or make to give them/take the resureses. The same goes for caravans, they just generate some money, and that is kind of it. I had hoped for a lot more.
    * The banners, every one has the same colours, and just have have 5 (i think) of each. It feels a bit life less.
    * Unbalanced encounters. Fighting hideouts, and thugs in the city. Is just impossible sometimes late game, where in hideout battles 10 vs 100 ... good luck. Also had may first battle against a gang leader, and the battle said their 24 vs my 61, but in the battle it was 24 vs 14(or something like that) where most of my dudes used their fists ...
    * Lack of information. There is a lot of information which you could find i Warband, which i simple is not able to figure out how to find. Also a lot of the mechanics are not really that well explained.
    * HP curve. The amount of life low tier units has is a bit much. I can shoot a looter in the head with a tier 3 bow for 85 damage and he will just continue running.

    Auto save ?

How do you make the game auto save your games? Normaly you would just have pick the "realistisk" game mod, but in this dlc you do not to get that option. Is there some thing which i have missed?

I have to agree with your point about swimming. It is a bit stupid when I play as a partisan with a huge greatcoat with air pockets, and he doesn't float, PEOPLE NATURALLY FLOAT, NOT SINK!

Yes they do when they have a swimsuit on and nothing else, but then you are wearing several kilos of armor and equipment you will sick. i don't think you need more then 10 extra kilos before you sink. So no you should not be able to swim except if you are on a horse or are wearing extremely light armor and only have one to two weapon slots occupied.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Old Discussion Thread

I would think it would be better if they instead of expanding the map, they zoom more ind making the current locations bigger and  more detailed. having big and small towns and villagers, and let lords create there own faction and going to civil war with out the player have any thing to do with it. making the smaller map( as in how much land it represent) more a live.

I know you also can do that with a bigger map, but a think they should focus more on making the current map more alive then adding more factions and cultures.

But if it's the lore I've got nothing to say.

Because that has not happen more then a dusin times in history ???

I'd also love to have a bit more simple roleplaying features implemented, like being able to sit down on the floor / on chairs and to walk slowly. Or being able to cheer (as it is possible with some mods already) and maybe some other gestures and things.
In singleplayer and in multiplayer too - it's a roleplaying game after all

You can walk slowly by pressing shift or capslock or something. I've forgotten which one I bound it to.

In Warband Native you can't, neither in WFaS Native, as far as I know. So which game / mod do you have?

It is in Napoleonic wars, were you are able to walk and put your hands up. pretty awesome
