I remember putting in the $14 or so to pay for Mount & Blade back when it was still beta and the dev team in Turkey was trying to get a solid leg to stand on. That game totally blew me away with the combat mechanics and the use of horses. It turned out a solid and fun game. If they want to hold on Bannerlord till it meets their standards I'm down with it. I can wait because it's going to be good. A game that loves horses this much is worth waiting for.
