Thanks, I beat it on Wednesday. My worst bugs were some quest rewards not being given and a door not unlocking to a room with a story-essential NPC in it. Fully power-cycling my computer (oddly, apparently the game has a memory retention problem) fixed the locked door problem, and the missing quest rewards were a saddle and some money, neither of which were in any way sorely missed.

Oh, and stealth kills I guess. There's nothing stealthy about them, people hear you doing it 20 meters away. I guess it's a bug but I don't really know.

Game is good, 8.5/10, will play again.

I didn't have a problem with stealth kills, I was killing guards within a few meters no worries.

I never played with any mods and still thoroughly enjoyed it. I only had one side quest bug that I couldn't get past, but that was no biggie.

I'm 30, been waiting for Bannerlord since it was first announced.

It's been an emotional roller coaster one which can only be explained by a bunch of gifs


When it was first announced I was like this

Isn’t it normal for a game to be in development for 5-6 years? I mean, I know that The Witcher 2 spend about 5 years in development if i recall correctly. And that game got a new engine aswell.
And bannerlord has a lot of systems working in the background so 6 years isn’t that abnormal, its long, true. But my guess its ‘normal’. Also considering they had to redo almost everything when redeveloping the engine mid development. I think we are lucky its just 6 years.

Only that isn't really the case. They only said they were making Bannerlord in 2012, but it doesn't make much sense to announce the game you're making immediately after you begin your conception. They would've (without a doubt in my mind) been designing/making the game since just after Warband was released and probably began preparations before it was released, which was March 2010. That's approaching 8 years of development.

Armagon stated they had been working on Bannerlord for 6 years at last year's E3, so they probably started on it after With Fire and Sword in 2011.

Looking back at all the videos, it does look like they are pretty close. Looks like some tweaking and polishing is required, but I can't imagine that it will take too long to sort out (and that was already 6 months ago from the last video). I kind of wonder if there's one major feature holding them back. They still haven't given an answer on co-op yet, maybe that's it.

Personally, I'm very excited about Kingdom Come. I love story based RPG's and I love medieval settings. I'm a fan of the designer Daniel Vavra as well. He makes games that are quite realistic with a good story (like Mafia, he was the designer on that). Kingdom Come looks like it will no different from that perspective and is looking good overall in my opinion.

But in saying all that, the excitement I have for Bannerlord is on another level to Kingdom Come or any other game that I've ever come across.

Yeah I've thought about a similar idea when in the character creation process. Instead of just altering stats depending on your choices, I'd like it to alter the world a bit more and how you start off.

For example, say you pick a farmer. You start off in a village, it's burning and your family dies. So you go off to hunt the bastards down which starts off a series of different quests.

You pick a profession in the noble court, you get accused of his murder and your on the run.

Or you pick a bandit and your in a gang etc.

I'd just like to see a far more greater range of options especially when it comes to sieges. I think things like catapults and trebuchets should be an option in the game, but I don't really think it's necessary for it to be on the battlefield. As in you wouldn't see it actually happen, it would be done using a prompt and menu system but you walk on the battlefield and it has happened. Because realistically, it would take a long time to break open a wall in real time.

It could be done using the system Warband uses. For example, in Warband you just get a prompt that tells you how many days the siege preparations will take, well I think you should have the option to build a catapult (or any other siege engine for that matter) which could take up to two days and then a number of days to break down the walls depending on your skill. Basically the reward would be great if you happen to knock down the the walls, but the risk of waiting that long would mean pretty much every Lord would be coming to the towns defense if you did not deal with them earlier. So it's not an option you can use all the time. It would just be good to have the freedom of picking what you want instead of the game telling you're going in with a ladder or whatever. Same with defending, it would be nice to see guys burning in hot pitch or being able to improve the overall defense of the town/castle. Would love to be able to build a moat around a castle, but I'm not sure how that would work.

Anyway I hope a heap of time get's spent around the siege aspect because this is one area which I think has the potential to be the best aspect of them all.

I had the same problem a while back with the exact same video card, unfortunately I couldn't find the solution after a week or so talking it over with toshiba tech support & asking here (luckily I could return the laptop as it was within 14 days of purchasing it). Warband wasn't the only game I had issues with, I had some issues with some older games too so I'd recommend asking NVIDEA about this too as it's not just this game. Just make sure your video driver is up to date, even try uninstalling the video driver then installing it again.

Khergits are fully equipped in mine to, but Rhodok trained spearman are just punching me which is rather amusing.

I have to agree with others on Rhodoks being way harder compared to what it was which is good but it can be frustrating. Generally I have to attack a castle at least twice, but most likely 3 or 4 times (I get smashed when have to use siege towers though, takes me at least 5 tries). I'm still getting on top of them though and a fair few lords are starting to leave. Generally I just use Swadia knights, Mamelukes and Hired Blades. Huscarls are good too but they seem to always die.

It was a neutral town in the earlier versions of the game, in between the swadians and the vaegirs who were the only nations at the time.
