    Family Banners and Faction Colors

Part of me loves the old/more historical system, every lord with their arms and the ruler's arms as faction banner. But another part of me likes the streamlined, casual, simple and intuitive approach.

Either way I will be happy, but the former is probably better.

I usually got Spotify in the background; depending on my own mood I listen to some music or another, but I have realized that my favourite music for playing m&b is that 70s' disco/funk/soul, bands like Kool & the Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire, jacksons5 and that stuff.

I love melodic metal, classical english rock and metal, medieval and pseudo medieval (i.e. blackmore's night) music, but for some reason I like that 70s music for the battle. Each battle is like a party!

Curiously enough, that doesn't affect the immersive value of the game, at least for me.

That's the weirdest thing I've seen in this thread so far. But if you like that...

I know, weird, but fun as hell.

I even remember a glitch while playing some WB trial version, which made textures look funny and colourful, especially the taverns looked like discotheques, the music fitted very well then lol

Killing while listening to Björk is fine too

IIRC its a whore of kings or somesuch... it turns slowly all day, rather entertaining

Found some info about it. It seems kind of satirical, she holds the Emperor and the Pope, naked except for their crown and tiara, in her hands. Funny to say the less.

    Thanks, didn't know that.

    Your islands, huh?

I meant the islands where I live...

    Your Country/City

You're wrong,Canary Islands is not a Country, is a region of Spain.
I feel my islands as my country. Politically, well , yes, we're a nationality of Spain (some would even say we're still a colony), but I don't feel it that way.

In any case we're not a "region" of Spain, because "region" derives from a geographical concept, and my islands are not in the spanish geographical area.

Holy Hell, Mount & Blade is hard on maximum difficulty!

    InstantBlade 说:
If you are talking about M&B vanilla, then it's not dificult at all even in max dificulty

It is, for me. Well, except maybe developing a strong tank always surrounded by swadian knights or huscarls, that is always easy.

Max difficulty is reasonable for me.

    Warband or M&B?

I'm seriously in love with the 5 factioned vanilla map and vanilla graphics (this is obviously subjective), and I could be playing vanilla with some minor tweaking for years.

I got warband on trial but I don't feel like switching as of now. Still I think WB is a pretty cool game, but vanilla is a piece of art.

Holy Hell, Mount & Blade is hard on maximum difficulty!

I play in full difficulty except for the block and speed and still my a** gets kicked often when in melee.

That's why I prefer to make very charismatic characters, and very intelligent companions, my rhodok soldiers they will fight for my cause. I'm kind of a general, I'm not risking my life in every battle. I give the orders, I provide the tactics; they kill and die, that's the deal.

Now playing under 97% difficulty is boring for me, even being such a weakling. But everyone should play the difficulty they feel comfortable with

    after the mods

I knew I was not the only one!

Well, I have been playing some mods (not a ton, though) and I keep playing them, but vanilla Native is the most balanced module out there; the number of factions and lords, weapons... Everything fits perfectly.

But still there's something I like more than returning to the old Calradia, that's tweaking it. With Tweakm&b and some other tweaks and patches ( or the module system if you know what you're doing) you can do almost anything you want.

The module I'm playing now is War for Calradia (basically Native+a simple kingdom management) tweaked and customized, but the Native feel is still there, the same world, lords and items
