  1. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Old Discussion Thread

Mordhau is more like Chivalry Medieval Warfare done better. Warband has nothing to do with it, except the way you angle the attacks by using the mouse. (you also can't just hold the sword in the air like in warband, waiting to strike, in Mordhau is like in Chivalry)

I've recently started stalking these forums in the past months, and decided to register today to express my hype of Taleworlds to display more of Bannerlord at E3. Here's to a hopeful full or early access release ASAP

I am here since 2014, stalking these realms. Some people hare here since Bannerlord was announced in 2012. And some are here since Mount&Blade launched! There is a long road ahead, friend, and the stalking will not be over yet.

Ok.. so I've seen that Bannerlord ran well on a 132 vs 152 battle (as the one shown in the PC Gamer livestream).
My question is: How optimized is the engine? I mean I have a decent PC, and on Warband i get about 20 fps with 300 troops in total, and in Viking Conquest I get 10, and that is because the engine used in Warband was not made to support large battles...
But I wonder How much does Bannerlord support? I mean.. imagine 300 vs 300 or even 500 vs 500 (i wouldn't go above that amount, but it would be epic)
Hopefully the battles will be large...

This is my opinion, so don't take it seriously.
Anyway, one thing that bothered me a little, but I hope that it's just because the game its still work in progress , its the fact that i see the character literally "stuck" to the camera, like a statue... I hope that gets changed like it was in the singleplayer in warband, where if you moved the camera, there would be a delay until the character moved as well. (This also should apply to multiplayer in order to not get people who use a huge sensitivity and get a long sword to destroy everyone, because the character is glued to the camera.)

The last thing i want to mention is the lack of ragdolls. I hope they were just disabled in the demo, because i've seen no ragdolls since the august 2015 gameplay.

I would rather have no Open Beta and get the god damn full release of the game. I am tired of "early access" crap that never gets finished. If they release the game, they should release all of it, or none of it. Afterwards they can just make fixes for bugs that will surely occur (no game is perfect), so everyone would be happy, and modders wouldn't get a ton of problems keeping the mods up to date with the fast updates that the game would receive in a beta state.

It would be a catastrophe if they are going to say that "Its cancelled" one day...
    That wouldn't be possbile... right?
    Right???
