  1. Beta Patch Notes e1.5.4

    Developments for fixing snowballing issue are finished and commited already, however they will not be at 1.5.5; they will be at 1.5.6. I am just testing and collecting data from latest version (after developments) currently to compare them with old results. Will give you all datas, tables, graphs and informations about changes tomorrow.

    I've managed to reproduce something similar on 1.4.3.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. When loading the save: character party is besieging enemy settlement of Western Empire
    2. While camp building is going on → Propose peace with WE → Vote YES to make peace happen
    Army does not return to usual stance properly. When trying to interact with any city - nothing happens, no menu appears.

    Once (beta is ready for main branch) and (internal alpha is ready for beta) → they push (beta to main branch) and (alpha to beta). Stabilize, prepare next and repeat.
    Apparently current alpha is not good enough for beta at the moment.

    Hey guys I have a question for the ones playing the current beta.
    Do you know how the election for a fief system works? Because in my current campaign (year 1099) I'm playing as a vassal of the khuzait, I have 2 castles but i'm not elegible for any new fief election even if I conquered it with an army I raised. (My clan level is 4)

    Just wandering if its just happening in my gameplay or if anyone has the same problem
    Looks like you appear as election candidate until you have 2 fiefs and then never again.

    Apart from mods Trade skill 225 might help that allows to buy castles.

    To be fair - i cannot say that in previous patches workshops and caravans made a huge difference. They definitely helped by adding some, but it wasn't like you get them and you can forget about money. Caravans' gains are not reliable by itself and they also get destroyed from time to time, making you invest again, number of owned workshops is limited by clan tier. Probably it is worse now, but it was not ideal before.

    Most profitable activity is to battle: sell prisoners, lords and equipment. Not looters but real parties and armies.

    Besides, if modders have already added the other perks in, why is it such a big deal for TW to "officially" do it? Just go download the mod.
    Complaint about this might be that some mods stop working after another new patch.

    Well what is a mod? Isn't it when developers first implement a set of functions that create all sorts of opportunities, and then some modder comes in and enables it? So that when developers change functions(for the sake of improvement, replacing placeholders with core for future content, refactoring, etc.) mod have to be changed too.
    So i agree, when they know that something would be changed later, they should not waste time polishing something temporary now.

    Roadmaps i've managed to find. Something has been implemented, something - not yet.

    And as for calling something unprofessional. Is there really a need to offend anyone here? Probably devs would've shared their thoughts and ideas more gladly and more frequently if we expressed our emotions in a more neutral way.

  11. Resolved Crash when proposing peace 1.4.2

    I can reproduce it for new campaign on 1.4.2 version with NO mods:
    1. Create new character
    2. Using console(alt + `):
      1. Activate cheat mode
      2. Add renown to clan in order to be able to join kingdoms
      3. Add at least 100 influence
      4. Turn cheat off
    3. Join any kingdom
    4. Make save just in case
    From here whenever i try to navigate to Kingdom -> Diplomacy tab and click propose for any peace or war i get crash no matter what combination i choose after loading save from step 4.

    Agree on war & peace subject.

    It's nice to be able to propose truce as a vassal, but friendly clans do not support it. Why would they want to fight 4 factions?

    Before voting system was introduced - rulers had decided this and there had been a chance to get random truce. So peace was inevitable in a way, we just needed to hold for a bit. Now it is endless wars.

    Joined Sturgia. On day ~400 we have peace only with Aserai and two factions that are almost destroyed(with less than 100 Total Strength). Putting it differently - we are at war with almost whole map.
    It is not like in previous patches where Raganvad could declare random war, this time it is other factions.
    It is possible to initiate voting for peace now, but our lords do not support that. And when they occasionally do - war is redeclared shortly afterwards.
    500-1000 people armies besiege same city every 2-3 days. Defeating them and putting lords in jail seems to have no effect. They escape and eventually come again creating never-ending battle cycle. AI factions have wars between each other, but my town looks to have much higher priority.
    Friendly lords became worthless somehow. Half of them is trying to do something with Khuzaits on the east. The other half cannot achieve anything as they spend lots of time gathering in snow and forests, then travel to besiege something to be crushed by bigger army or just retreating to town for whatever reason(no food probably?).
    We are alive only because of easy campaign settings that allow me to be victorious in 250 vs 800. Sturgian troops improvements no doubt also help.
    There were similar replies in this thread and posts on reddit too. But didn't notice dev response.

    Don't get me wrong. I love this game. But in case this issue is not addressed prior to merging Beta into main branch, i think a lot of people might say it got broken.
